Just
had
the
worst
haircut
at
Salt.
I
was
my
stylist’s
first
appointment
of
the
day
and
had
to
wait
ten
minutes
past
my
appointment
time
for
her
to
show
up.
I
get
that
everyone
has
an
off
day,
so,
fine.
I
have
curly
hair,
and
I
had
requested
a
shaping
cut
because
the
last
time
she
cut
my
hair,
she
just
did
a
big
chop—a
simple,
straight
cut.
I
came
in
with
my
hair
freshly
washed
and
styled
so
she
could
see
the
curls
and
how
they
lay.
We
talked
about
what
I
wanted,
and
then
she
said
she
preferred
to
cut
my
hair
wet
because
she
could
see
exactly
what
she
needed
to
do.
I
consented
and
she
washed
my
hair,
which
I
usually
enjoy,
but
wasn’t
at
all
relaxing,
because
she
filled
my
ears
with
soap
while
manhandling
my
head.
Then
she
started
cutting,
lopping
off
as
much
as
four
inches
when
I
had
told
her
that
I
was
happy
with
the
length
and
would
be
okay
with
losing
an
inch
or
two.
I
had
also
mentioned
face-framing
layers,
gesturing
toward
my
chin,
but
ended
up
with
ridiculously
short,
curly
bangs.
I
already
knew
that
she
wasn’t
proficient
in
styling
curly
hair,
because
after
my
last
appointment,
I
had
to
go
home
to
rewash
and
restyle,
but
honestly,
most
stylists
aren’t
because
it
isn’t
what
they’re
used
to.
However,
I
wish
she’d
said
that
she
didn’t
feel
comfortable
cutting
my
hair,
and
I
know
she
knew
it
was
bad
and
that
I
wasn’t
happy
because
at
one
point
during
styling,
she
said,
“I
just
gave
you
a
really
good
cut.”
No,
my
friend,
you
didn’t.
Thankfully,
it’s
just
hair
and
it
will
grow,
but
I’m
definitely
never
going
back.
If
you
have
naturally
curly
hair,
maybe
skip
Salt,
and
find
another
place,
and
if
you
have
a
recommendation
of
a
place
in
or
near
Greenville
that
does
good
curly
cuts,
please
let
me
know.
