Very interesting location. Makes you really appreciate the history of the Helenic world. If you're near kusadasi / Ephesus, definitely check it out. There is a very heavy archeology operation at the location, so if you're interested in the unearth process of the ruins, it's a hot spot.

Nysa Ancient City is located in Sultanhisar City of Aydın Province, just 3 kilometres away from the main road. The history of the city dates back to 3rd Century BC to the Hellenistic Era and this is one of the places in where Dionysus' Birth was attributed. This place is very important as very famous Greek geographer Strabo had education here. There are several well preserved remainings you are going to see here, however, most of them are from Roman Era. The huge Roman Theatre, Bouleuterion, Tunnel, Library, Agora are the main buildings you are going to see. The ancient city is open from 08.30 am to 17.30 pm and the enterance fee is 12.5 TL (January 2022). There is a small parking lot next to the ticket office. You need at least 2 hours to visit the city properly.

Beautiful and big place. Couldn't add video, but perhaps pictures I took could give an idea. There are still archaeological works going on, and you can understand why. when you visit the site.

An amazing place! So peaceful with the olive trees, birds singing and the little river flowing downhill. A must-see if you're around. Don't miss to climb on top of the theatre. The view into the Menderes valley is magnificient

Fascinating Ancient Greek, Roman and then Byzantine site in Aegean Turkey. Lots to be discovered still which is very exciting. Definitely recommend. Especially the Bridges, Theatre, Market Streets, Hippodrome, Forum and Agora.

The place is nice. Calm, relaxed. I like visiting ruins to feel the heartbeat of how was life going, how we all will perish.

If you are traveling from Denizli to Aydın , you should stop by at NYSA ancient city, you won@t be disappointed. “ There are important ruins from Hellensitic, Roman and Byzantine periods. The well preserved theatre is famous for its friezes (in Aydın archeological museum)

Absolute hidden gem! If you are into ancient cities, then it is a must visit: the most impress parts are the active dig sites that you can witness with the experts!

So much potential. Absolutely worth a visit. If you can detour just follow google maps because sometimes the road sign can be confused. Surrounded by local farms and fig plantations. This place is magic and huge. Admission is only TL 20. The place is clean and very well preserved. No masses of tourists (like other places). Some excavations still in progress.

The Nysa Bridge is a late imperial Roman bridge over the Cakircak stream in Nysa (modern Sultanhisar) in the ancient region of Caria, modern-day Turkey. The 100 m (328 ft) long substructure was the second largest of its kind in antiquity, after the Pergamon Bridge.

Well maintained antique ruins with excellent information boards. Archaeology works in progress and an easy walk around the city. The Roman baths difficult to get to, not yet excavated. The stadium would have been a magnificent sight in its day. Not really suitable for young children.
