Food, service and ambiance all good. Met the owner uncle. He is the man behind the best running business. Also they have another block for fresh home made spices and groceries. Its pure and high quality. Prices are affordable as well.

The biryanis are not good. It's basmati rice with the chicken, fish, or egg masala mixed with the precooked rice. Kaima may have made some difference. And the prices were too high for the same. Fish biryani is about 300 while chicken biryani was 150; Not worth the price. Meals were decent but not be up to the mark with the side dishes available for 100+GST. The only better one was the chicken fried rice which was not bad and was 150 Rs. Chiken fried rice is a recommended, but overall, not satisfied.

Just had a tea and banana fry. Super service. There is also a shop near to this where natural flavours are distributed. All most it is like a minj supermarket. Amble parking space is available.

Loved the food!!..We ordered Meals and Veg Biriyani, and all the curries were so delicious. When we asked them the reason behind the taste they told us that all food is made with organic powders made by them. And thus we also bought their Organic Spices and pickles. This restaurant is very underrated. If you all are looking for a safe, organic, homely food feel, then this is the perfect spot for you!!!!

Quality and quantity of food is really good. Lunch in banana leaf is recommended, which is available during lunch time. Fish fry is also available including karimeen. Food is tasty have a homely feel. Great cleanliness and well behaved employees. Own free parking space is also available. Toilets are really clean. There is a shop attached to the restaurant which sells spices, cooking oils, nuts, tea powder, snacks and chips. Breakfast, lunch and dinner also available.

Not a great place to have food.. but it's ok for a dining. The noodles was good. The quantity was impressive. The meals disappointed me a bit. Meals can be improved by adding some more sides. Fresh juices and ice creams are also available there.

Good spot to have some decent tasting food with freshly powdered ingredients. Tried their quarter Alfahm with Tandoori roti... Mild spiced Alfam was well cooked... You can feel the freshly grounded spices goodness... Roti taste was really satisfying... The sided Salad was dressed with chilli powder. Be ready to have a organic class about ingredients by the Owner during the waiting period. You can even purchase spices from their side by spices Mart ( Bit expensive than normal stores) Table was bit untidy which need to be taken care. If you look for a meal with homely taste this is an ideal place to dine. Did not feel to have any artificial ingredients added to taste or smell appealing. But if you're someone looking for variery of curries in the meal , you might get a little disappointed and feel that the meal is overpriced. The owner of the restaurent claims that they use organic masalas produced by themselves and do not reuse oil. There is also a spice shop adjucent to the dining area for selling thier own products. Dining area can accomodate 40 people (4 persons x 10 tables). Air conditioned. Well behaved staff. Wash area is neat and tidy. Separate toilet facilities for ladies and gents and they are hygienic. Around 40 cars can be parked. No wheel chair accessible dining area entrance.

I ordered meals at lunch time and the food was very bad. The rice was not well cooked, the sides were not up to the mark of expectation but I had ordered a kizhy porotta chicken which was really good. Will only suggest that.

This is my personal favorite biriyani space in kottayam. From the first day of my hostel days, I heard about Greenleaf biriyani. It's really tasty. They constantly maintain the quality and taste. Their half biriyani is just 90 rupees and more reasonable. Quality biriyani within reasonable price is their specialty among their rivals. Starters are also good. Their vegetarian foods are good. The place is always neat and clean. Having good behavioural content. Noontime is so busy. But around 6-7 it's quite good

Gave wrong order and charged for more items than were sent... when told of the error, they're arguing instead of apologizing... Terrible experience... Food not nothing special either. The puttu is like eating balls of mud.

One day evening I ordered porotta and egg curry, while order I asked to waiter, is it fresh prepared or not. He replied, yes. When reach, I found its just made hot and it's from morning, oil drunken porotta and look not freshly prepared, when I questioned, again making lies... Totally disappointed..

Exceptionally good! And that's been our experience consistently. Probably the only restaurant from which we ordered during the lock down, given how reliable they are (cleanliness, organic and fresh ingredients used, timely delivery, etc.). Their Chinese is undoubtedly the best I have had in Kottayam (can personally vouch for the mixed fried rice & noodles with prawns and garlic chicken). They also sell snacks, spices and dry fruits and those were also of great quality & really tasty - have tried their dry strawberries, aval, chips and unniyappam. It's a hidden gem.. highly recommend this place!

This place is very average food and they charged without taking fish curry Rs200.00 extra which we didnt notice when paying bills. After two days when we complained they heard it but never done anything to return money even after repeated requests. This incident happened last month. Be careful with your bills they give.

Hungry by the time we reached here, we just got in to green leaf just by chance. Dint go thru any review or such before getting in. The restaurant has good parking facility. Got in, had to wait for around 5 min to get a table though. That's when I felt, this hotel could be a local favorite. The owner himself got us a table. My parents and my daughter were with me. Two types of taste. Ordered meals, fish curry, beef fry and a chicken biryani. Food came in fast, and the taste was awesome.. I never felt I could get a simple meal according to my liking, in a restaurant. Usual restaurant food is too salty or spicy. This was soothing on the stomach. My daughter too liked her biryani. My mom who usually doesn't take a non veg item in any restaurant, after tasting the beef fry, had a few more pieces. Had a taste of the biryani too. The long grain rice was cooked till it's sweet spot, with enough spices (not spicy) and tasted very good. The owner, a sweet guy ran around the restaurant managing, serving ppl food and good will. Also, one more point to note, even after not using soap to wash hands, there was not even a Lil bit of oil on our fingers even after eating biryani. The owner also came in to ask the quality of the food, and we told him we were very happy with it. He also has a collection of different varieties of spices, pickles etc in the adjoining shop. All of which is organic. The cumin seeds that we tried from there were much much better than the ones that we usually get. Purchased a bottle of fish pickle too, slightly overpriced compared to other commercial vendors, but considering its organic w.r.t each and every ingredient used, I was ok with the price. Tasted good too. Would recommend this restaurant to anybody travelling on this route.

Green Leaf's restaurant is the best Non Veg restaurant in Kottayam. I love this restaurant and I always go there while I travel through Kottayam. I can't tell you the taste of Beef and Karimeen pollichathu. Their food Mart is fond of my colleague, it saves his life to have all the natural spices he needed. They have this natural spices in the back that are all unmixed, but it is such a delight to be able to smell these flavors all around! Their bathrooms are neat and tidy. They have spacious car parking area as well.

I have eaten food from this restaurant many times with my friends, family and of course alone. The quality is nice and the rate is not that expensive when compared to the quality of food served. The service of the staff is good except that at the cash. Alongside there is a spice store that sale organic items.

Unfortunately, the masala dosa, paneer curry, and mixed noodles lacked flavor and seasoning. None of the dishes had salt, making them taste bland and unappetizing. Will be not recommending this restaurant to anybody in the near future.

We bought some spices from here in December 2022. Owner comes out and explained each and everything is well quality products and making in their house. Things like Garam masala and sambar powder he said use only half of what you use from other brands. I have to tell the truth, sadly and surely the products we bought from here is absolutely tasteless and extremely overpriced. Watched out for the guy who comes and tell you each and everything in their shop is high quality but it’s not. Smart business man. Won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Very impressed by their philosophy. Initially I couldn’t believe somebody providing organic food at restaurant. That too at a very reasonable rate! Wow...Green Leaf restaurants at Manippuzha and Kottayam town are both wonderful. They've got menu card full of tasty and vibrant dishes. My favorite is Green Leaf Fish fry with onion and lemon.....oh they are so yummy. Fish dishes are really tasty. Not only fish but others are also rich and tasty. Customer care and services are also much satisfying.

Quality food and along with the quality food which they serve they also manufafcture spices, powders, etc. By themselves. I think that adds to the value of their food. I would actually recommend trying their spices and powders once. It's natural and there's value for money.

Taste was just average, ate biriyani there, took away a fish roast ,and when we opened the packet got to see a really small fish but what they displayed there was pretty much large one, not worth for 450, biriyani was ok, but still the quantity was comprised there also.

The restaurant has ample space for parking. The dishes are prepared with their own spices. Thus the quality of the food items is great. Also they sell their spices there itself next to the restaurant.(Price is a bit high but justified) Overall it's a nice spot on the way to Changanaserry via Kottayam.

Excellent place to eat home made food. The spices used are authentic and so don’t expect extraordinary taste like restaurants because there is no preservatives etc in flavors. You must visit their store too with original whole spices and powder. Available in good packings and can be good for overseas. The owner is very courteous and he himself will explain about the spices. Do yourself a favor and enjoy food from this local restaurant and buy some spices too.

I was here to purchase spices for my overseas trip. I’ve been wanting to try it out for a while since I’ve heard a lot about their product quality and hygienic spice processing. My parents had been regulars at their restaurant whenever they passed through Kottayam and I must say that Green leaf did not disappoint. After our spice purchase, we dined there as well and we loved the food and service. The owner, Biju, came to our table and explained their cooking and manufacturing process. He proactively offered to show me around their kitchen, to back up his claims of cleanliness, to which I readily obliged. It looked and smelled very clean. Unlike other hotels, they do not reuse their cooking oil. All oil is discarded and replaced with fresh oil after it has been used once - that’s what we do at home too. Now I know where to go if I need clean and hygienic food. I also like that they’ve employed women at the front desk and service areas. When we were about to leave, we saw Pathanamthitta MLA ( member of legislative assembly) Anto Antony and his team come in to dine. As a footnote- they have clean toilets and ample parking space as well.

The butter chicken portion I ordered from there had nothing but some scrapes of chicken. I was billed an amount of 250 rupees for nothing more than 20g chicken.

It was a nice restaurant, don't know if today is Christmas, food was okay, but the demanded dishes are not there. Their service is good. Atmosphere is nice. Their highlight is their farm fresh items . They are using their own masala powders and those items are available for sale.

The food here is good - the ingredients used to make them are natural with very minimal preservatives and little to no coloring. Taste - I should say - they're better than average but you'd get tastier dishes in Kottayam - but the quality might not be as good as what they give here. Quantity - lower than average for the price. One big downside is the ambience of the restaurant. It feels crowded and fast paced. Not a relaxing place to sit down and enjoy the food.
