So much energy at the temple at aarti time, so good vibes, it's always a pleasant visit to Bhairav Baba Mandir. Bhairo Baba temple is one of the best known religious destinations in Azamgarh. One must visit this temple.

Bhairo Baba Mandir is a temple known for peace and popularity. Nobody knows the date when the temple came into existence. It is linked with mythological period as people say that King Daksh had performed his famous Yajna here. The new temple is very high which was constructed by Brahmchari ji in year 1971. But the address given in google map is totally wrong. It's not in Pakri kalan, Paharpur Azamgarh. It is located at Mahrajganj Bazaar which at a distance of around 25 km from Azamgarh city. People have great faith and obeisance in Bhairo ji. There are number of temples besides main Bhairo ji temple. The big pond close to the temple is very sacred.

It is perfect for a family, there are a number of shops for artificial jewellery, fast foods and toys, they are also starting some rides for young children, it will be more crowded on Sunday and Tuesday due to fair, There is a spiritual pond where you can take a bath. Only problem is that there are a number of monkeys so you have to watch out for your items.

One of the most prestigious and holy place of Azamgarh district which connects the area to the puranic tradition of Hinduism. Daksha, the pauranic king and father in law of Lord Shiva is said to organise a 'Yajna' at Kankhal which was destroyed by Shri Kaal bhairav and it is believed that at this place he got calmness and left his anger. This place is believed to fullfill wishesh of common man.
