Both Western and Eastern architectural elements were skilfully used in the construction of the Khan's house. This gives the building a special originality and beauty. On the first floor of the building were the reception and living rooms of Mir Ahmed Khan, on the second floor were the rooms of Mrs. Tugra, and on the third floor were the waiting room of the guards and the armory. Mirahmad Khan's house is also the first building with electricity in Lankaran. During the construction of the building in 1908-1910, there was a small electrical installation working with direct current. By means of this, even the surrounding residential houses could use energy. Mir Ahmed Khan and Tugra Khanum had no children. In 1916, Mir Ahmed Khan died during one of his visits to France. But he is buried in Lankaran.

Although the museum staff did not know history very well and sometimes gave false information (for example: Babak's mother was from Talysh, his father was from Nakhchivan), they generally tried to provide people with information. In such museums, it would be better to have interactive boards and unified texts. Considering the history of the region, the museum was very dark.

It was once built by a representative of the Khan family and is now a museum. There are exhibits like the general state of history museums. However, there are also very interesting original elements. Along with Hazi Aslanov's house museum, it is one of the must-see places in Lankaran. The museum guide gave detailed information about the history of Lankaran.

(Translated by Google) The building was built in 1913 in honor of his wife Tugra by the order of Mir Ahmad Khan, a descendant of Talish Khan Mirmustafa Khan. Lankaran Khan Palace was built in 1913 by architects invited from Europe by the order of Mir Ahmed Khan, a descendant of Khan. All construction materials used here were brought by ship from Baku. The facade of the building is decorated with mythological figures. The building had electric lighting and heating for the first time even before the revolution. Currently, this magnificent building houses the Museum of History and Local History of the city of Lankaran.
