Both
Western
and
Eastern
architectural
elements
were
skilfully
used
in
the
construction
of
the
Khan's
house.
This
gives
the
building
a
special
originality
and
beauty.
On
the
first
floor
of
the
building
were
the
reception
and
living
rooms
of
Mir
Ahmed
Khan,
on
the
second
floor
were
the
rooms
of
Mrs.
Tugra,
and
on
the
third
floor
were
the
waiting
room
of
the
guards
and
the
armory.
Mirahmad
Khan's
house
is
also
the
first
building
with
electricity
in
Lankaran.
During
the
construction
of
the
building
in
1908-1910,
there
was
a
small
electrical
installation
working
with
direct
current.
By
means
of
this,
even
the
surrounding
residential
houses
could
use
energy.
Mir
Ahmed
Khan
and
Tugra
Khanum
had
no
children.
In
1916,
Mir
Ahmed
Khan
died
during
one
of
his
visits
to
France.
But
he
is
buried
in
Lankaran.
