I
recently
tried
Mado's
soguk
baklava,
and
while
it
wasn't
terrible,
it
also
wasn't
anything
special.
The
presentation
of
the
dessert
was
nice,
with
a
generous
portion
size
and
a
dusting
of
powdered
sugar
on
top.
However,
upon
tasting
it,
I
found
the
texture
to
be
a
bit
off.
The
baklava
was
soggy
and
lacked
the
flaky,
crispy
texture
that
I
typically
look
for
in
a
good
baklava.
The
filling
was
also
quite
disappointing,
as
it
lacked
the
nutty
flavor
that
I
associate
with
a
good
baklava.
The
filling
was
sweet,
but
lacked
the
depth
of
flavor
that
I
was
expecting.
Additionally,
the
syrup
that
was
drizzled
on
top
was
overly
sweet
and
overpowering.
The
service
at
Mado
was
friendly
and
efficient,
and
the
ambiance
of
the
restaurant
was
pleasant.
However,
the
soggy
texture
and
lackluster
flavor
of
the
soguk
baklava
left
much
to
be
desired.
Overall,
I
wouldn't
necessarily
recommend
Mado's
soguk
baklava.
While
it
wasn't
terrible,
there
are
better
options
for
baklava
in
Istanbul
that
offer
a
more
authentic
and
satisfying
dessert
experience.
