This is the cutest little gem tucked away in Deptford. The atmosphere is very relaxed, cosy and the staff are friendly. The vegan food is stellar and that portions are good. Recommend the 'chicken' burger and this place for a quick bite/drink.

Burger joint to rival any other "gourmet" place. Finally visited after daughter begged me for so long and was not disappointed! Selection was fairly standard but really well made. The menu was mostly veg but with vegan alternatives to everything - including mylkshakes (!!). Kudos also to funky decor with 80/90s legends such as Roland Rat, Bill Murray and MB borad game version of hangman!! 🙌🤘

A varied and good for menu that can be adapted from the basic vegetarian dishes to vegan and vegan gluten free variations. Several different types of fries, burgers and other "dirty" dishes. The drinks range from wine and spirits through craft beverages in cans to draft beers ales and ciders. Only down side is the place is really small. Literally four tables, the bar and some seating along one wall. Small benches out front but slap bang in the smoking area. Not ideal if you're eating. Overall if you're thinking of visiting, go for it, but accept you might have to stand to eat.

This place is incredible. I go to The Waiting Room regularly, which is owned by the same people nearby, and finally made it to here last night (28 November 2018). The food is so good, and all of it can be made vegan. I had the chilli cheese chips and a ‘Colonel’ burger. It was also two for one on cocktails all night, so took advantage of that. It’s great that Deptford/New Cross has such a great offering for vegans and veggies

Great vegan food at affordable prices, good selection of cocktails and craft beer too. Staff are also very friendly :) Only downside is the shortage of space as it’s so popular!

THE place for dirty veggie/vegan food. Independently owned, great character and vibe. Dog-friendly. Worth travelling for if you don’t live locally.

Arrived to be "greeted" by the lady behind the bar, who was quite cold and made us feel more like a nuisance than clients. We ordered two burgers and fries, the waiting time was short which is good as we were so hungry. A shame that the order came wrong and we got the spicy chicken burger instead of the one we ordered. As we had already been made uncomfortable we didn't want to complain so ate and left. Wouldn't go back there, but maybe it was just bad timing. Also found it a bit pricey for the quality, but the place is very cosy.

This small, shotgun pub has some of the best vegan junk food I’ve had in London. All of the food can be made vegan or vegetarian. We had the seitan wings, coney fries, and the Sith burger - everything was delicious and made to order. It can be a bit tricky to get enough space for larger groups at peek times, but I’ve never had to wait long with a party of two. Very cozy and crowded, and the patrons and staff are friendly and welcoming.

I recently read a review from another user accusing The Full Nelson of ripping a customer off and decided to see for myself. I found it hard to believe any establishment would deliver just 3 tiny wings as a starter order. Sure enough, that's what we received when we ordered the Seitanic Wings. Borderline deceitful is one way I would describe this. The least they could do is include a picture/ or number of wings included. I view this as a genuine shame, as the quallity and taste of their food is very good.

RIDICULOUSLY small portion sizes for the money! We ordered the Seitanic wings. We got 3 tiny little pieces for £5. When I say tiny, I mean less than half of what you would get any establishment in London for that price. Yes you can't please everyone. But can you also not rip people off?

Vegan burger and fries tasted nice and the service was good. A good place to chill out. Feeling welcomed from the 1st second in this bar.

This small 'dive' bar on Deptford Broadway offers excellent vegetarian (or vegan on request) 'junk' food. Their small menu is tasty and well priced; a welcome addition to the area. A nice selection of craft beers and interesting/appealing cocktails. Though only seating for maybe 20 covers it is highly recommended bar that does awesome food even if you are not a vegetarian.

One of the best burgers in Deptford and a heaven for vegan junk food lovers. The staff are always very friendly. The only negative is that the place itself is tiny, you can never find a place to sit. But I guess this just proves how great their food tastes and you can always do takeaway. And the best thing about Full Nelson is their Sunday brunch menu, the best vegan chicken and waffles I had in my life!

Honestly one of the best vegan restaurants in London. I can wholeheartedly recommend everything on the menu, but I must give a very special mention to the chick'n wings and gravy! Absolutely delicious and fantastic service.

Had the chick’n burger. It was okay, but one thing I’ll say is that it doesn’t actually taste like a chicken burger. No idea what it was made of but the taste and texture were more like potato. It was enjoyable but not what I expected.

I shared a wonderful evening with my partner here. They have over 30 cocktails on the menu and a small selection of delicious "dirty" vegan food, which is essentially burgers, fries, and "chicken" updated with some imagination. Most of the meals are made with seitan. A shout out to our waitress El who was a delight, so professional and a pleasure to chat with.

Friggin the best vegan fast food bites/meal I’ve had! The cocktails here also match that bar! The staff are brilliant and the dive bar feel is good to the real thing state side!

I'm not a vegan but do try it from time to time -- and I can say this is the nicest vegan meal I've had. The spicy chicken burger was a particular highlight. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and also delicious cocktails. Would definitely go back.

Lovely little restaurant with amazing vegan food. The poutine was incredible - you wouldn’t have known it was vegan! The cocktails were amazing as well, all freshly made and fresh ingredients. Would definitely recommend.

Absolute hidden gem! The team working there are really welcoming and put me at ease as I had a sneaky half while waiting for my friend. Great bar and serves AMAZING food. Had the Fonze burger and the rosemary fries and it was a solid 11/10. We were considering ordering another round of burgers, it was that good. This is a great indie biz in the heart of Deptford, so please go and support it!

Just out of curiosity I looked at the 1 and 2 star reviews for The Full Nelson - honestly some people are absolute idiots. One person wrote “money talks” in relation to serving only vegan food 😂 and how they need to cater for all… ridiculous pr***! Do not be fooled! The restaurant is truly 5*, has 10/10 food and a unique atmosphere. Since turning vegan 3 years ago, this is my go to spot - never fails to disappoint and is absolutely delicious, from the wings to the burgers. Enough reading, go and check it out!

Amazing Place, best Vegan burger place I have ever been to. The combination of good food, one of my favourite beers on tap (Gamma Ray by Beavertown) and it being based around Wrestling and me being a huge fan. The guys working there have a close knit and provide great service. It takes me a while to get there but definitely worth it.

So good! A shame no cutlery or napkins especially for the poutine - which was impossible to eat without?

  • 5/5 Magda G. 3 years ago on Google
Wonderful vegan junk food. Their burgers are corn dogs are to die for. Highly recommend trying it for breakfast as well (delicious waffles with seitan ‘wings’).

  • 3/5 Emma P. 3 years ago on Google
I had really high expectations of this place as I heard a lot of great things however it was a bit of a let down. The burger patty itself was full of flavour however the burger bun was so unbelievably dry it ruined it for me. Also they were stingey with the garlic buffalo sauce so you could hardly taste it. Won't be going back unfortunately

Amazing food! Seitan plant-based fayre is often hard to find, and although they have a limited lockdown menu, there's a nice little selection of burgers and fries, including poutine! Beers and cocktails are available and the decor is Avant Garde, if a little reminiscent of Halloween all year round! The staff team are very busy, yet smiley, polite and professional. I'm looking forward to eating inside and sampling their full menu when they reopen.

Issue with order which delivroo has now sorted, would be good to train staff on this issue. Food was good.

  • 5/5 James C. 3 years ago on Google
There is often a small dog, would give six stars if possible. Also the food is a fantastic messy extravaganza of filthy vegan delights, get in there!

Wow!! We’re really feeling full on this fully Nelson! We brought our dads’ to the Hashtag##!FullyNelson and they sat together for a whole meal! Unlike the last time where my baby father threw a whole steak Which btw was unvegan at my daddy father and we ended up threatening lobster forks at the headchef. CCTV really had us on the run (I don’t really know who CCTV is but I imagine they’re a part of mi5) and we hadn’t really been out for a meal in 12 years since. But the fully nelson really was a great comeback! To be honest the fully nelson was the only real meal I’d had since as baby father was stuck in a muzzle and couldn’t taste any food unless it was blended and fed through one of the those environmental metal straws. Regurgitation really does take nuance from a meal. Which is why even if veganism is a construct of the Reagan era the fully nelson really does shine and if it was a Netflix series its genre would be, Irreverent, Comedy And Horror.

Finally got to this place albeit during lockdown. So glad it's open for takeaway. Prompt service providing high quality junk vegan food. Fresh and full of flavor. Will order more next time.

  • 3/5 Neets S. 3 years ago on Google
They serve tasty food. However, I was expecting the buffalo wings to be coated in the sauce. It was just plain pieces of seitan with the sauce on the side, and that isn’t really how chicken wings are served - they will always be coated in a sauce to give the wings full flavour. The sauce was great - could have done with lots more of it!

It’s a great vegan burger and they know it. You’ll be scowled at just for coming in but if you run the gauntlet and meekly order a burger you will be rewarded with something extraordinarily good.

Best vegan burgers and hot sauce in all of London. We always buy hot sauce to take home form here. The Full Nelson has a great vibe, friendly staff and good music. The people that go here are super friendly too. This place reminds of vegan restaurants in the 2000's in Canada - badass, friendly, cozy and not trying to be instagramable. Even though this place is not Canadian, it feels a bit like home away from home for me.

Best veggie burgers in London by far! It can get busy (because it's so delicious!) but we've always just ordered our food even without a table and by the time it's ready we've got one :)
