Awesome stuff, very friendly and helpful! I stayed in my tent in nice grassy area for 12$. In the morning, I had a pleasant chat with Frank- the owner- about his crazy adventures. I misunderstood the breakfast rate, but they were kind to explain it for me and offered me coffee for free. Highly recommend!!

Great place to sit on the roof terrace and have some good food. It's a good place to watch the sun go down. The food was good but sometimes you have to wait a while for the food, they do suggest calling beforehand and placing tour order if its busy but at least you know its all made fresh.

Nice place a bit aside from the beach. Large campground, you can get power and toilet/shower in one of the huts. Large restaurant at reasonable prices. Kids playground.

What a beautiful place, the garden is absolute paradise ❀️ The staff was very helpful and accommodating, arranging things for us to make the stay perfect with three little children. The beach cottages are a good size, clean and the AC made the stay even during the hottest time of the year comfortable. I was also very impressed with how quick the food was coming out of the kitchen, always hot and they were nice enough to even bring it to our room. All in all a very relaxing stay at a beautiful place and we cannot wait to come back hopefully soon. Asanteni sana!

I stayed here for a week a few months ago and loved the hospitality. Helen and her staff were a delight. We visited when it was 90F/32C and it was a treat to enjoy air conditioning in the rooms. The rooms were clean and the views of the beach were spectacular. Traveler's Lodge has a restaurant as well. I highly recommend their cashew fried rice, grilled king fish and beef kabobs. *Note: food is prepared fresh so expect a long wait time (1-1.5 hours) so be decisive, order quickly, grab a drink and take it easy. Traveler's Lodge also offers spa services. Esther, the massage therapist/aesthetician was amazing. Additional details: an ATM is available up the road (a few minutes walk), wifi is available at the restaurant, bottled water is available for purchase, complimentary breakfast starts at 7AM and leave your key with the staff to have your room serviced. I will certainly be back. :-)

The best place to stay in Bagamoyo. The beach is just right in front of the resort. Inside there is a beautiful park with amazing trees. The restaurant is very recommended. Team and manager are very attentive and made our stay perfect. Big thanks to them for the late check out possibilty. We are very grateful for that. The houses are pretty and clean as well. I would anytime return here, well deserved 5 stars.

3 stars lodge for $100 a night, it would be an easy 5 stars for $60-70 a night. Listen the lodge is great, $100 a night is just a big ask. Still had a great stay and will most likely stay again next time in Bagamoyo. Location 10/10 Food a little expensive but good 7/10 They gave my wife and I a twin bed room not sure why? 3/10 Atmosphere great 9/10 Rooms amazing 9/10 Staff could be nicer but we’re still helpful 6/10 Laundry is included for free that deserves a star on its own 11/10

A small paradise in Bagamoyo! We camped in the beautiful, spacious garden with our tent for four days and enjoyed a lot. Staff and owners were very engaged and all facilities clean. Would recommend without any hesitation!

Very beautiful and relaxing place to be. The downside to the place is their strictness and timid rules that can even be self defeating in my opinion. They do not allow to take photos in their property, at least that is what I was told by the staff

It was expensive, but very local. The only good thing about it is its location very close o the ocean. Rooms are of low standard, do not worth the value for money

It’s a nice place. Rooms - 4: I expected better beds than what we found there. Dinner - 5: The food was amazing and the service was good Breakfast - 3.5: The breakfast had few options, for the hotel calibre, i expected something better than as it looked like 3 star hotel breakfast Environment - 5: The place is quiet and lovely, can recommend it for those needing private/vacation getaways
