Hanging place was used by German rulers during colonial times to hang Africans who resisted German colonial rule. This place brought mixed feelings. But the brighter side is always to think of the positive and that hoping that this place reminds us as humans to be more compassionate and loving towards one another.

Such a sad but important part of Bagamoyo's history. Well worth stopping by to see the monument.

It's a quite unique historical place in Bagamoyo town. It's located in front of Bagamoyo Old Fort ( A side that face the Indian Ocean ). It's not too far from Bagamoyo bus stand, when you decide to have a walk.

One time I went Bagamoyo and is beautiful amazing place and attractive. There were present of old buildings which made by German during colonial period in 19 century, the buildings were built nearly beach of Indian ocean. Very attractive and good climate conditions.
