We've visited SISO on our own without prior reservation. It was very nice experience, or guide showed us many different plants and trees, told us a lot about them and let us taste different kinds of fruits. After the tour we had delicious lunch. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a very nice experience in The Hill spice farm. The place is beautiful and quiet and the guides are good and friendly. We ended up with a bouquet of samples of spices, and had a fruits and Zanzibar Coca-Cola degustation. Compared to some other experiences on the island, it's worth the price. Thank you Muhamed for the tour!

We had a tour with Adam, who is a really great guide. His English is super and we had a lot of fun during our tour - and I have learned a lot about Zanzibar spices and fruits. We also enjoyed the tasting of tee and the coconut at the end of the tour. Highly recommended! We called in advance but that's not necessary. You can come anytime for a tour.

We visited the farm few days ago with a couple of friends. We booked in advance for a cooking class too. We arrived at the farm at 9h30. It was AMAZING !!! First, we were warmly welcoming by Siso and the rest of the team. Then, we stayed with Ridhwan, the cooking chef. He teached us all the steps to cook Pilau with tuna fish. This experience was really funny and interesting even if it was a little bit long (maybe 2 hours), but normal, sometimes cooking takes time. During the Pilau finished to cook, we went to visit the farm with Khamis. He is very friendly and funny, we learned and laughed a lot. The farm is big and it was really pleasant to walk around. We tasted different fruits and spices. Khamis really takes time to explain and respond to all our questions. The tour takes around 1h30. At the end of the tour, we ate Pilau with the staff. It was de-li-cious ! It was very satisfying and nice to eat all together. After a plate of fruits and a little photo shoot, we've been to the spice shop and buy a lot of spices for cooking Pilau again and again. This is really something to do if you come in Zanzibar. But careful, there is a lot of spice farm around. One of them has a sign very similar to Kidichi Spice farm but it's not the right place if you want to live this experience. I highly recommend this one !

Today we visited the Siso Spice Farm. We had a great and entertaining time with the hosts of the farm. They introduced everything they are planting and did a little quiz out of it which made it funny and enjoyable. We had the opportunity to smell and try all the different spices they have. Imran a kind boy climbed up a 15 to 20 meter high coconut tree like it was nothing and brought us some coconuts down to try. He even made some lovely gifts for us out of plants. They introduced us to their own shop and we where free to buy whatever we want to for good prices. I can recommend this lovely place to everyone who want to do a spice farm visit.

Amazing tour in this spice farm for around 10e. Good explanations, the guide was so funny and let you try everything. First he makes you guess by smelling and tastying and then guessing. Moreover, there was another guy who shows you how to climb a palm, get a coconut and then open it for you to drink it. At the end they give you a surprise. I had so much fun

Had a fantastic time as Siso Spice Farm. Highly recommend a visit. Our tour guides Dula and Abubaka were entertaining and informative. A must for any food lover or cook! They even gave us a Swahili lesson as we walked through the spice trees and learned what each tree produced. The tour ended with freshly picked water coconuts and tea made with spices from the farm to drink. Delicious!

We had a great time at Kidichi Spice Farm! First the owner of the farm and his family gave us a cooking class and showed us how to prepare a typical local dish (Pilau, Sauce, Fish, Sweetpotatoe greens and veggies). While we waited for the Pilau, a farmer gave us a tour of the premises and we tried many spices and fruit - everyone was really generous and we had the lychee feast of a lifetime! Afterwards we had lunch together, tried some more Tea and Juices, bought some spices for reasonable prices and went home with a basket of fruit and good memories!

Great Adam, pretty cool guy and will make hour tour interesting. Saw lot of stuff and learned a lot yesterday about spices. Picking last agava for us from the tree was highlight of the tour. Coconut from the hakuna matata master was also great touch in tour. Food was amazing and buying some coffee and spices and soap and chanel no.0 was great too.. give tips to Adam and the man who takes coconut for you as it is must and price you pay is only for entrance, their fee is extra. Had great time and recomend to take bus to there and back, 500tzs only per person.. walk a bit and have a healthy life! Pole pole

What a find! We loved every moment of our spice tour and cooking class - so personal, friendly, attentive and interesting, with lots of laughs too! They even recommended an awesome guide for the Stone Town tour which we did a few days later. Really, really highly recommended! Thank you to everyone at Siso!!

Really amazing spice farm tour and lunch. We had a private tour and it was only our group at the farm. Highly recommended for a quiet and enjoyable experience. We tasted cinnamon from the tree, also pepper, ginger and turmeric to name a few. We learned a lot about spices and tropical fruits. Fresh coconut, pineapple and tea was shared too Then lunch of spiced rice, cassava, tuna fish, spinach, coconut potato curry. Delicious! It was around 3 hours total including lunch at the farm.

Brilliant experience! Khamis is a charming and informative guide, Siso an excellent host and the chefs warm and wise. We joined in with cooking, saw the farm and ate beautiful home cooked food! Great experience. Spices, coffee and tea were great gifts. Contact them directly instead of visa the hotel and you will make a significant saving!

Was a good tour, the guide knew his plants and what they were used for. You don't see the farm as such it is more like someone's backyard with one or two examples of spice trees that they use to show you, more plants of small stuff like lemon grass and ginger but I would have like to see the farm operation as well

This was probably our most enjoyable excursion! Everyone was so nice! The guide did the tour of the spices, fruits & roots plantation... so knowledgable... we prepared lunch with them and then ate it, the best meal so far, i truly highly recommend it. You can book through them directly.

The tour at siso was great. After a very warm welcome we walked through the farm and our enthusiastic guide explained everything about a wide range of fruits and spices, we could also try and smell. After walking through the farm for two hours we were offered fresh coconut, mango, pineapple, tea and so one. One of the highlights was the delicious lunch that was cooked with many ingredients of the farm! Afterwards we could shop some spices at the shop! Absolutely fair and reasonable price - we would come here again!!

Book the cooking class, the tour and plan to stay for 4-5 hours. Contact them via whats up if you have any questions. Be careful when you enter some people are waiting at the entrance and tell you they are from the Siso farm and will give you a spice tour. Tell them you dont want one and you are booked for cooking class and continue. Stay in touch with Siso so he knows you are coming and come to greet you. Follow the signs. Check my photos so you know how it looks. The food was sooooo tasty, the vibe amazing, chill, real, we met some other travelers and we learned so much! They also have volunteers who have spent some time in Zanzibar who have gold advise four stay! We even came back to the farm to get some fruits that we really liked but were to rare to find on the market !

We dropped in without a reservation. What a great place! Friendly and informative guide, who made us feel incredibly welcome. This was more than just a tour, in particular loved the lesson on how to climb a coconut palm!

My friend and I dropped by for a tour of the farm. We both learned a lot, smelled and sampled some many types of spices and fruit, and got rewarded with tea and coconut at the end! We were unexpectedly full. Highly recommended. Adam and Asa were our guides and they were both very personable.

What an interesting experience. We smelled plants, leafs or fruits flavors we grew up with. Funny we recognised the flavors but we could not tell until we were told. One guy climbed a 10 m tall palm tree by hands amd feet and picked a coconut for us and we drank it fresh
