Most of the positive reviews seems to be fake. Toilets are broken and care to fix despite complaining. The location is good for a day trip provided you don't use any of their facilities such as room, restaurant, etc. A Big NO to their rooms and restaurant.

Very nice beach with fantastic setup. We stayed 2 nights in a banga in front of the ocean with a great natural view.

I dropped by for a drink. I am clueless about the accommodation, food and other facilities but the waitress was unfriendly and didnt know what she is doing. I ordered two iced coffee and make sure coffee to be served cold but she just brought lukewarm water and tinned africafe. It was disappointing and even worse her attitude was impolite.

I LOVE this place. We come regularly with our family to enjoy volley ball and a swim in their beautiful big and super clean swimming pool set in a lush tropical garden. Also lovely to chill on the beach. This hotel has the best view in Bagamoyo. Then add in the best burger in Tanzania. Can’t beat it.

We had chosen this place because they accept pets, this turned out being the only Plus since thexresort has been better days. The location at the beach is quite nice but the rest absolutely disappointing, everything shabby. Especially for this prices. Tiny dirty rooms, catastrophic bathroom, dirty towels, unfriendly staff, 1 hour waitingtime for the food in the restaurant, Pool out of service, etc. Not recommendable at all.

Total wastage of money. The service is really bad. The washroom is dirty, so are the rooms. The quality is bad. Swimming pool is under maintenance which was not mentioned in the website. The towels in the washroom are torn and dirty.

Travelling in Tanzania on our motorcycles, we needed a place to have a good break, Funky Squid was the paradise ! Spacious restaurant and private beach, delicious shrimp curry, fresh beers and a swim before the sunset, what else ? Thanks to the lovely team for its warm welcome. Good luck !!! Sophie & François

Had a very bad experience at the Resort. The Rooms were not good. And the service and food was pathetic.

All good review are fake .. either paid promotion.. totally disaster place. Rusted tap , bad smell water.. so bad bedsheets, suffocating rooms.. no healthy food . I gave 1 star for only sea

Horrible service, water supply is a major concern as most of the time there is no water in the resort ,food takes minimum 2 hours to be served ,no generator and again most of the time no electricity even during night time . The worst experience we ever had .A no no place to stay ......utter disaster .

Nice location for photography and videography also just hanging out, they have a pool, an indoor gym and by the beach, also a boat if you want to go in a sea expedition.

Funky Squid is the place to go in Bagamoyo if you want everything in one spot. Food is great, surroundings amazing, pool is clean and staff makes you feel comfortable. I will definitely come back!

Only had wine and view the African dance show and both were excellent. Managers were personable, friendly and professional.

They make the most delicious curry in town. We had the seafood curry and the seafood with coconut sauce. Both was so amazing that it is a must do when you visit Bagamoyo.

The best beach place in Bagamoyo. Rooms are outdated, but clean and with a working a/c. Service is good and the food is delicious. Every day fresh fish is on the menu.

Not happy with the room services. Bathroom door is broken. Bad smell water. Swimming pool is not there as they shown on their website. We are not happy at all.

We loved our stay here. If you are looking for the most luxurious place, this might not be for you. But if you are looking for a very romantic place, where you can relax and enjoy, this is your place to be. We had a wonderfull time here. We stayed in a beautiful banda, right on the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpfull and the food was among the best food we ate in all of Tanzania. We would love to come back for sure! Love, Camiel and Maaike
