Fresh seafood from the sea & dushes we ordered is small size but is a really big portion for 4 ladies. Feeling full 😌 & satisfied ya. I strongly recommend having lunch here as the road is small. There's a public parking nearby where you can commute via cart.

We were the only table at that time and yet the food took quite a while to arrive. The tables are quite dirty and we had to clean it ourselves with wet tissues. Taste is so so and price is expensive. Menu do not have pricing and the owner was impatiently when we start asking for pricing before we order. The whole place is quite dirty and the toilet is horrendous. Will not visit again!

Waited more than an hour plus for the food arrived. They will inform you whether you could wait for it. Fresh seafood. During the waiting, maybe you could walk up to the beach for photo taking. Limited parking space and narrow. Table next to me bought rojak and some snacks from other stores. And the lady selling keropok must buy. Each packet RM 10 coz that's the most delicious crackers I had ever tasted. Regretted only bought 1 packet pulak. Homestay available with reasonable price for those who likes to overnight here to view the sky mirror. Another spot to visit is sun flower garden. Worth coming here. There is a 3D aquarium to visit too. Maybe will arrange another day for all these spot. Nice and relax.

Seafood restaurant by the river mouth. Packed with people during our visit at lunch time during weekend. You can see lots of fishing boats parking there. The butter salted egg crabs were so delicious. The deep fried squids were not bad. Do not order the soursop juice. It was not freshly made, diluted and tasted bad. We couldn't even drink it. Price was reasonable.

Outdoor dine-in is not comfortable & smelly. The seafood is fresh, but the cooking no longer by Chinese Chef. The kitchen consists, a bunch of Mymmar. Hygienic issue is my most concerned. Fried Sea Eel over cook, mantis kung po doesn’t tastes like kung po, & claypot sting ray fish is so delicious. Not worthy if you need to travel all the way to Bagan Datuk.

Cleanliness and hygiene- very poor, flies flying around, toilet very dirty, surrounding very smelly Food - not that tasty as others commented; seafood lobster 🦞 size really baby small size, scallops small prawns small; small portions, suspect frying oil dirty, fried seafood dark color Not child friendly bcoz mostly all food are spicy 🌶️ Waiting time too long even not crowded at all Price: average Car parking- very limited and the the road access very narrow; not recommend drive your luxury car here Surrounding- fishy smell the “drain”, fungus growing, cockroaches 🪳

Located at fishermen village of Bagan Datuk. We come here for its seafood platter, big portion enough for 10 people. The food is average, the crabs were a little too small 😅. However there were some yummy stuff ie the deep fried fish fritter. The restaurant is built on top of muddy sea bank. The air is not very pleasant, if you don't mind 🤣😅😂 However you will have surprise watching many lizards hoverring in the mud 😅 Nearby the restaurant at the jetty, there is a stall selling coconut ice cream, juice and shake. Do try the ice cream and shake, well done and refreshing during a shinny hot day 😁. At the end of the jetty there are some setup where you can have some photo shots.

Went there during weekdays so not many people and tourists. It was a tourist spot so brace for the waiting time if you’re coming here for seafoods. Limited parking available since it’s deep inside the small village. I didn’t managed to try all the foods but taste was ok though. Prawns somehow slightly off the mark.

Highly recommended seafood restaurant in this area. Fresh seafood harvest by the local fisherman cook with skilful chef brings out the aroma tasty delicious dish on your table. We order mantis prawn and some others, but i in love with mantis prawn. This restaurant cater most of the group tourist, having a good business everyday. After the meal you can walk down the jetty visit the nearby tourist attraction area. Fisherman port is just right at the front, so everyday they provide with fresh seafood. One things was disappoint me is on this particular day we visit, they do not offer any other vegetable, except white cauliflower. Also their soursop is not recommended, is not fresh, maybe some other drink.

Food tastes really great. I like the Kam heong crab and salted eggs mantis prawn. Only one minus point is hard to get carpark in peak hour.

Visit on: 21 May 2024 Worth to try the seafood over here. Was attracted by its special seafood hotpot but from its photo, all are fried. Then we decided to order different dishes for 6 pax. ❤️ Crab (salted egg) it should be mud crab and it so satisfied to taste the big arms with its salted eggs sauces. ❤️ Lemon Steam Lala, has sour soup ,maybe can try Steam next time. ❤️ Baby sotong , very good side dish. ✅️ Steam Prawn, I personally think if it has shao xing alcohol will much tastier ❤️ Fried Conger Eel - need watch out many tiny bones inside but it so tastier ❤️ Kangkung Fry ✅️ Bamboo Shell /Balitong (Kam Heong) Note: Be prepare more cash as it depends on telco signal strength to pay via qr code.

Avoid the non-seafood food here! After eating plenty of seafood before coming here, we fancied a change of pace and avoided seafood. Bad mistake! Tried the Kangkung, tofu, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken - pretty average. Stick to the seafood I guess. I was probably asking for trouble!

Visited on 4/2/22 for lunch. Ordered the seafood platter. I would say overall are average. Tomyam prawn soup not meet the expectations. Tomyam soup taste out of ordinary Tomyam soup you have try in Thai restaurant. Nestum mantis, fried mini sotong / squid , Sweet & spicy big prawn are nice. Others seafood like kam heong clam / Lala , fried fish, etc. are averagely. Salted egg crab is not fresh. salted vegetables tofu fish ball soup is actually can skip this . Above are all my personal opinion and everyone have different taste bud definitely. For this kind of seafood platter, tried once is enough for me.

Having seafood lunch. Seafoods are fresh. Seasoning suitable for people who like stronger taste. Ordered Thai Lime steamed white snapper, salted egg mantis prawns, and caramel fried baby squid and fish skin. Seating at a table with the harbour view, nice spot to cool down with a fresh coconut.

The seafood is so fresh and nicely cook. Should be there early to enjoy a breeze of fishing village. Try their baby squid and steam 🐟 (fresh from sea and reasonable) The "ikan parang" fishball sold by invidual at the restaurant is worth every penny. Nice!

Hai Yang Seafood Restaurant is our go-to place when in Bagan Datuk. This restaurant is part of the larger ecosystem of restaurants in this quaint fishing village. Food quality is very subjective, but to us foodies - freshness counts. The spicy crabs and prawns were very fresh, and the chef told us that they were the morning's catch. The baby octopus by itself is a bit bland, but is great when dipped in their homemade chilli sauce.

The food here is very delicious 😋. The seafood platter is valuable and we had tried rm 328, unexpected taste of the sauce which very to the seafood. Highly recommend 👍👍👍 Since traveling to this place, I recommend going to the Red house (hoster) to book a buggy ride as the road is small for the car in and out. RM38 with unlimited rides on buggy rides to tour around the place include the fee for sunflower place (RM13 per adult) and marine visit.

I had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant. The food was reasonably nice, especially the fresh seafood options. The service was excellent, and the staff showed genuine care. However, be prepared for parking challenges, and keep in mind that the narrow road leading to the restaurant might be a bit tricky to navigate.

Opportunity to kill 2 birds with 1 stone if you visit this place around 5pm. Have a scrumptious dinner and a walk down the jetty and subsequently, towards the Sky Mirror to enjoy the sunset. On your way back, drop by the stall that sells coconut drinks as both the soft serve as well as coconut water were :P~~~ As for the food, it's ok. Ordered a seafood platter consisting of mainly prawns. Love the salted egg crabs & sweet sour fish. However, IMHO, the mantis prawns may taste better if steam over deep fried. As for the sunset, it's a stunning view! Praise the Creator for His Captivating Creation! You just have to be there to witness it :)

We visited on the weekend before the Lunar New Year when most Chinese were busy with spring cleaning. It was a quiet weekend with delicious seafood! We truly enjoyed the steamed mantis prawns, steamed white snapper with lime and onions, salt-baked ocean crabs, and stir-fried water spinach with local shrimp paste! Superb!

Lousy food, sub-par service, some idiot throwing planks right outside causing a din for 20 mins. Owner is obviously all about profit and doesnt care about quality or service. Dont order the fried rice or the mantis salted egg dish. Cant even taste the mantis prawns which is obviously over cooked. The dish is 1/3 filled with onions, 1/2 oily batter, 1/4 sauce. Best tasting thing was the unevenly chopped raw garlic. The chilli padi wasnt fresh. Mantis prawns was like chewing on thick old rubber loaded with bleh Tourist trap and a total waste of everything. Stay away if you have working brain cells left. To the owner: no point leaving meaningless feedback on google maps when you obviously havent been bothered to improve whatsoever. Disgraceful

From KL needs 3.5 hrs to reach. Seafood are fresh, good cooking too. Was attracted by this platter displays, however some dishes might not be hot when serving. Reasonable price, need advance booking and pay deposit rm100. Not recommended to go at night, when back to KL has no street lights.

Very impressed because they do provide vegetarian foods in seafood restaurant. But unfortunately the cleanliness is very poor until I found one cockroach in my plate while eating. They do accept it and prepare me a new fried rice.
