👍👍 I was a US Marine who ended up in this hotel for about a month in 2003. I would just say that I love the Iraqi people and I pray every day that everyone in your country can find and keep peace for the rest of your days. I met some amazing Iraqi nationals and I hope our nations can become friendly... People often mention hotel, star, experience, staff, room, Baghdad, people, asked, Iraqi,

DO NOT RECOMMEND at all. 2 nights stay where I didnt sleep at all. room was somewhat dark, and the cleaning is not sufficient for a 5 star hotel. the pool blasts loud music till 4 am, and the hotel has a venue where they host weddings. and I was always asked by everyone where Im going. if you look for a nice comfortable stay then you won't find it here.

I went there one week ago, there was an event (anime festival) I hadn't been there in years, but no much of a change, the screens in the hall were very small, not appropriate to the size of the hall. The security guards at the first check point were away from being professionals The hotel is hosting an event with many people coming in costums ( anime costums) so someone might think that they were informed about some people bringing (knives/ sowrds/ spears etc) for their characters, all of them of course not sharp and only plastic, but they gave a hard time for some people for that reason and at end they let them go in... but after lots of negotiation and delay

One of best hotels in Baghdad, not the world. By international standards it's not even a 3 star but in Baghdad it's better than other options

Although being ranked as 5 star but services are far less than a 5 star hotel and can be easily compared to a 3 star or even below it. Toilets have separate seats and bathroom is completely separate which is major drawback if you are conscious about your hygiene. Rooms have low light with curtains full of dust. As the evening starts club adjacent to the hotel beats music so loud that it can be heard till 4-5am in the morning in your room especially if you're staying in the front side rooms. Night time is crowded with wedding receptions. Breakfast have limited options with taste not up to the mark. Locals rate it a 5 star according to Iraqi standard as the hotels ranked 4,3 and 2 star here have more poor atmosphere compared to the International standards. With a few options available in the Baghdad city one have to bear the lack of facilities during one's stay in Baghdad.

The hotel lobby looks absolutely stunning which you would wonder that the hotel Itself it amazing but when we got into our rooms and the rooms r dirty and windows r very dusty. The breakfast didn’t have much of fruit options where someone like me would want 5 a day fruit. Unfortunately for this hotel I would review 2 that’s only for the lobby area looks stunning and not much variety of breakfast bread or croissants.

Luxurious hotel, their price may be slightly expensive, the view is great, you can see Tigris and lots of green trees, the gentleman who took our bags was very polite, the reception may need to improve a bit

Polite staff. The rooms were okay; loved the view from the 12th floor. The staff could really take English language classes to improve their communications.

We were asked to give 5.000 from an employee while entering. Then another asked for 5.000 for granting entrance. The last one asked for 10.000 dinars. So haramful.

Bad management, non experience reservations staff I was asking them to show me how the room looking like they told me go check the pictures online and they refused to show me the room before reservations I told them the pictures looking bad for 5 stars hotel then I asked them about documents for reservations they told me needs marriage certificate I told him yes I have it in my phone I can email it to you you can print it he told me go outside the hotel print the papers and bring them back we don't have printer then I complaint to the manager the one was there about the bad reservations staff I surprised he is worst than the staff then I understood why the staff are bad because they don't have really experience and respect manager, then I just visited Bahdad international hotel I found everything I needed very helpful staff even they showed me the room they answered me all questions as experience staff and they asked me to send them the documents I have it in my phone they printed for me and they finished the reservation for me easy, fast and very helpful then I understood the difference between bad experience from Palestine hotes staff and manager then the good experience at Baghdad international hotel and they are jut close by hotels but difference management experience.

We came after midnight to the reception. The problem is that they didn't allow the tourist to see the room unless they pay

I worked in the hotel in 1982 from the opening under the French management it was the best hotel in Baghdad I’m sad to see the poor comments customers experience in the hotel when I was working the standard was very high . I worked at the Orient Express French restaurant as the Maître D’ Hotel . I would love to visit Baghdad one day it was a beautiful country and lovely people I wish you all the best

😐 Still, I'm staying in the hotel now. It's renovated but still quite old fashioned and all the facilities in rooms are old, cleaning is not high quality. Tap water in the room is not good quality, and I have to use 2 personal water purifiers to take a shower. Location and security are good. Especiall...
