Still, I'm staying in the hotel now. It's renovated but still quite old fashioned and all the facilities in rooms are old, cleaning is not high quality. Tap water in the room is not good quality, and I have to use 2 personal water purifiers to take a shower. Location and security are good. Especially meals are not good. Foods in buffet are almost the same every day, and grilled meats are too tough.

A very elegant hotel, with very clean, and good rooms with a view. I often go to the hotel for seminars, and its a very good place for seminars, as its easy for people to park, the facilities are very good, the food is of excellent quality, the prices are good compared to hotels like these outside Iraq. I have also tried their rooms and the ones with balconies over Tigris river are very nice, especially during spring or autumn. Definitely worth going, and highly recommend for events and seminars

My family and I recently visited this place and had a mixed experience. The garden dining was delightful, with a nice and organized setup that allowed us to enjoy a pleasant meal together. However, our visit to the playground area was not as enjoyable. There was a small issue between two kids, and we were concerned to notice that the lady who was supposed to be supervising the area appeared to be occupied with her phone, not fully attentive to the children's activities.

Its one of the best hotel in the capital Baghdad with no doubts. I have stayed for few nights and the service is excellent. It feel secure to stay here. My room was very nice and the room service is very good. The open buffet restaurant serves great selections of Iraqi and international food. They make the best fresh juice. The outdoor amenities, indoor pool and spa are all great. Internal decorations and smells is very unique.

Stayed here 3 nights during first week of December 2023. Highly overrated and over priced hotel. Very old rooms with dust in the corners on age old carpets. For 2 nights they had set the AC at 24-25C and it was quite hot and sweaty in the room. I had to keep the balcony door (risk of mosquitoes) opened. The so called river facing rooms barely have any view. I had to change the room on third night, as AC unit was making heavy noise and couldn’t be fixed. Upon complaining on second night they did make some attempt and gave me some discount, but until I made noise nothing much was done. The restaurants and food is nice but quite pricey. I had 2 more colleagues staying in the hotel with me and they too had aircon issues in their room. We might have spent more than USD5000/- during those 3 nights and for this amount what we got in return was a very raw deal.

My friend and I, have been sitting in the restaurant. A waiter asked us to sit in an available seat,so we did. Yet, another waiter came and asked us to leave into another area claiming that this area is for hotel residents only. While in fact we know that this is not an area for hotel residents only as we have been visiting it multiple times in the past. We consider this act as a discrimination against us. There are 2 parts of this review . One is based on the accommodation services and one is the dining and lounge services. For later part means dining and lounge they are pretty good with the coffee and snacks at Alyasmeen and other lobbies and bar but the waiter service is not good as have to wait for long for serving . The accommodation part is the most pathetic 🙄 😒, illmanaged and the worst although its managed by Rotana but don't know Rotana of 4 th world or what . Have to wait 2 days to answer any complain , room rents are too high and the cancel ur booking and charge u more without any intimation means they cheat . This place need a alot of good work to done. Bottom line its not worth to stay as compared to the money and its value .

I had a negative experience at Babil Rotana Hotel. While the conference room itself was decent, it lacked sufficient privacy. Additionally, the hotel should consider placing clear signs to guide guests to the conference hall. Furthermore, I was disappointed with the low quality of food served at the Shanashel restaurant.

I went there for a conference. The place itself is very beautiful and cozy. The employees are very kind. I love the antique cars and the different stores in the ground floor. The best part was the food. Very tasty and delicious, probably better than 90% of the restaurants I have tried in Baghdad.

Since it has been renovated by Rotana , it became One of the few good hotels in Baghdad. You can also enjoy parties and nightlife without the need to stay in the hotel , also wedding parties are popular there, you can visit anytime and park inside the hotel with some delay due to inspection process.

We came to Baghdad back in March. We enjoyed the hotel and rooms were clean and nice. Food was great. My mother enjoyed it and mentioned that the hotel is still great like old times before the war. It's the only 5 star hotel in Baghdad worth staying in ir dining. All the others are just relics of a long bygone era and have bit the dust. We went there for a business dinner meeting , the place is encha ting and and extremely inviting . We were of course subjected to the high handed Iraqi treatment....you can't sit here,that's only for the hotel guests and their guests...etc I pulled out a counter threat... succeeded and Sar exactly where we wanted. The hotel staff are great and Levant Restaurant is really good. But the rooms need to be revamped (specially the rooms facing the river). Had to change rooms due to moldy smell in the 1st room I got. Also, the hotel is always overbooked so make sure you book your stay very early.

Good location but not great value for money and you don't even get a breakfast included at $300 per night in Baghdad that's pretty poor. Great safe and secure hotel and felt great when you're inside the facility of the hotel but rooms were very outdated air conditioning wasn't working properly and very loud to sleep when turned on, balconies doors were jamming and broken, bathroom outdated, shuttle bus optional but expensive. Everything is too expensive for Baghdad. Traffic is horrendous around the hotel and getting to the hotel area not the best. Security stopped to ask which room we stayed at the hotel in the middle of corridor very unprofessional and inconsiderate although hotel staff apologised after. The place is really nice it has small pool and a garden in front of the restaurant and you can order anything there as well food and drinks but as for alcohol they dont sell any at this hotel. The staff are professional they speak English And Arabic but as for other languages i'm not sure. The food in the hotel is really good better than any place in bagdad. I stayed 5 days in bagdad and i didn't find any restaurants that served like this hotel. There are thousands of restaurants this is the best. The cafe in the second floor has the most beautiful views as you can see in the pictures that i've taken. We take our tourists there 14 people from US They didn't have any complaining about the rooms and the hotel. Which makes it our best hotel in bagdad.

I was fascinated to find a 1955 MG on display at this hotel in Baghdad as well as a Packard and a few others. We also had dinner but I wasn't impressed with the food or the service. They were too hectic and not harmonious and maybe overstaffed

The hotel has the AC system switched off, under the excuse that other people requested heating! And the whole hotel is forced to use fan only without AC in every single room because of this. When you request for AC, they ask you to sleep with the windows open!!! The hotel actually thinks people are stupid enough to believe this, rather than them just trying to save power and money.
