This
was
our
first
visit
to
Baghdad,
and
our
first
stay
at
Sindbad
Palace
Hotel.
We
stayed
3
nights.
Our
hotel
room
was
clean,
and
nicely
supplied
with
big
towels,
individually
wrapped
toiletries,
and
slippers.
Airco
worked
well,
as
did
the
Wifi,
and
sheets
and
towels
are
laundered
well.
The
price
was
very
good
value
for
money
as
we
paid
60,000
ID
per
night
for
a
double
room.
My
only
minor
criticism
is
that
we
would
have
appreciated
some
towel
hooks
or
a
towel
rack
in
the
bathroom
of
our
fifth-floor
room,
though
I
can't
say
if
other
rooms
have
them.
The
staff
are
friendly
and
professional,
and
spoke
some
basic
English.
We
felt
that
the
hotel
was
safe,
and
the
location
was
convenient.
The
popular
kebab
restaurant
Sabah
el
Araby
is
nearby
within
walking
distance.
Don't
bother
eating
at
the
Zarzoor
Restaurant
close
to
the
hotel,
as
their
food
was
bland
and
not
at
all
not
the
same
as
in
the
main
restaurant
in
Mansoor
neighbourhood.
The
hotel
location
is
sometimes
difficult
for
taxi
drivers
to
find
as
the
sign
is
very
small,
and
placed
low
on
the
building.
A
possible
solution
is
to
ask
the
receptionist
to
voice
record
directions
on
your
phone
for
playback
so
the
taxi
drivers
can
more
easily
find
the
location.
(Or
just
use
Google
Maps'
GPS.)
In
short,
we
will
not
hesitate
to
stay
at
Sindbad
Hotel
on
our
next
trip
to
Baghdad
in
the
future.
