Hi! As a tour guide, this is one of the most revered places in Baghdad. this is the 7th Imam of Shia Muslims. the servants of Imam is extremely friendly. Everything is facilitated for both locals and tourists. I highly recommend it for everyone to see the structure inside, learn about the story behind the reason people visit this place daily.

The atmosphere is filled with a deep sense of reverence and peace, allowing visitors to reflect and connect on a profound level. The site is well-organized, ensuring a smooth and peaceful experience for all who visit. The kindness and warmth of the people there make you feel welcomed and at home. This shrine isn’t just a place for prayer, it’s a sanctuary of devotion and faith, where the spirit is uplifted and hearts are healed. My visit there was a deeply moving and unforgettable experience.

Well maintained shrine. Soothing experience and clean surroundings. The security is pretty tight and hectic but however the view makes it for all. You will find the place usually crowded.

I had the privilege of visiting the Shrine of Imam Musa Kazim in Baghdad on September 18, 2024, and it was a profoundly spiritual experience. The shrine, dedicated to one of the revered Imams in Shiite Islam, is a stunning architectural marvel and a serene place for reflection and prayer. The beauty of the shrine's building, combined with the peaceful atmosphere, creates a perfect setting for spiritual solace and contemplation. The area around the shrine is impeccably clean and well-arranged, further enhancing the experience for worshippers and visitors alike. I particularly enjoyed exploring the vibrant outside market, filled with shops offering various religious items and souvenirs that allow visitors to take home a piece of this sacred journey. On a logistical note, I found walking around the area a bit taxing, especially since the tram service can get quite crowded. I utilized the Attaba bus service from Karbala to Baghdad, which was affordable and generally good. However, the timing could be unpredictable due to some passengers not following the schedule. Despite the few challenges, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting the Shrine of Imam Musa Kazim. It is not just a place to see but a site to feel the deep spiritual connection and history that this holy place represents. Whether you are seeking reflection or a deeper understanding of the faith, this shrine is truly a must-visit.

Under the golden minarets of Kadhimayn, sitting in silent prayer at the shrine of Imam Musa al-Kazim (AS) & Imam Taqi Al-Jawad (AS). A moment I will carry forever in my heart.

Visiting this sacred place as a non-Muslim, you can truly feel, witness, and experience the profound devotion and deep spiritual connection between the people and Allah. The holy shrine evokes overwhelming emotions—there is so much sincerity, and tears flow freely as worshippers express their faith. This visit is even more significant as it marks the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib. Beyond its spiritual weight, the shrine and mosque stand as one of the most breathtaking places of worship I have ever seen. The feeling is indescribable.

A sacred place in the Islamic community. With an ancient, modernized building and a famous golden dome, they tell the sacred story of the grandson of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Imam Musa ibn Ja'far al-Kadhim, and his story with the unjust ruler Harun al-Rashid, who imprisoned him underground in Baghdad for following the true Islamic path. This led to his death after he had quelled his anger and madness, setting the scene for the greatest example of how to control our souls and fight them against the desire for anger. The beautiful development of the place creates a wonderful image. The interior is somewhat cramped and needs to be expanded. When you visit, you will feel a spiritual sense of tranquility and serenity. You will feel as if you are in a different world. From inside, you will be dazzled by the details of the decor and amazed by what you see, as if it were a marvel of the time, with chandeliers in the ceiling, lamps, and reflective mirrors. An experience that will never be repeated in a person's lifetime on earth. Because I am certain and certain that I will meet the owner of the grave in Paradise.

Al-Kadhimiyya Mosque, is a Shi'a Islamic mosque and shrine located in the Kādhimiya suburb of Baghdad, Iraq. It contains the tombs of the seventh and ninth Twelver Shī'ī Imāms, respectively Mūsā al-Kādhim and his grandson Muhammad al-Jawad. Also buried within the premises of this mosque are the historical scholars Shaykh Mufīd and Shaykh Naṣīr ad-Dīn aṭ-Ṭūsi. The mosque was built on the site of a Quraysh cemetery, which was created with the original Round City of Baghdad in 762. The cemetery in an old Arab town named "Shoneezi" (Meaning the Black Grain) was founded by Abbasid Caliph al-Mansur so that members of his family and internment can be buried in it. It is generally believed that Zubaidah bint Ja'far and al-Mansur himself were also buried in this location. The town, along with its tombs, would become al-Kadhimiya, an area and suburb located north of central Baghdad. The current building dates to the restoration carried out by the Safavid Iranian Shah Ismail I from 1502 to 1524. It was further ornamented by the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent after he conquered Baghdad in 1534. Since then, it has continued to be kept in a state of good repair. An architectural wonder that I recommend everyone to visit and checkout.

A sacred site that houses the tombs of two beloved Imams: Imam Musa al-Kadhim (AS) and Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (AS). This esteemed shrine is also the final resting place of several distinguished Islamic scholars and personalities, including Sheikh al-Saduq, al-Mufeed, Sharif al-Radi, and Sayyid Murtadha. The shrine's courtyard has undergone a stunning renovation, adorned with beautiful tiles identical to those found in the Mecca mosque and the historic Kufa Mosque. Approaching the shrine is an unforgettable experience, as the majestic dome rises prominently in the distance, filling the heart with reverence and awe. The Kadhimain Shrine is a testament to the rich spiritual heritage of Islam and a beacon of inspiration for pilgrims and seekers of knowledge.
