Terrible experience & service from start to finish. We booked a 2 night stay at what's meant to be a 5* hotel, after which we left after the 1st night. The pool is very dirty, and they charge you €5 for taking a pool towel - never heard of this from a 5* hotel. On the 1st night we went for dinner and when we returned there was no water in the taps. They told us this will be resolved shortly. We woke up in the morning and there was still no water and they informed us it will be sorted in an hour. We then left the hotel for the day, and when we returned at 6pm and there was still no water. We asked them for compensation and all they offered was 20% off if we stayed the 2nd night, which we obviously didn't accept. The manager was extremely rude and didn't even give us any alternatives/help or compensation. She was just shouting at us and a number of other guests who were also complaining. New guests were arriving and checking in, and they didn't even tell them that the water wasn't working. They only informed them once they paid and checked in. I informed others who were about to check in about this issue, and they also left the hotel and didn't check in. Extremely disastrous service and management, and very rude to customers. Definitely do not recommend going.

We reserved a suite for a three-night stay but ended up leaving after just one night. The swimming pool was in a deplorable condition, and the spa facilities were quite outdated, featuring a cold Jacuzzi and a lukewarm sauna—all housed within an aged structure. The restaurant buffet was incredibly disappointing; I have never encountered such poor quality food and service in a hotel of this caliber. While the room was generally satisfactory and clean, the bathroom had tape affixed to the door and a missing part in the shower. The cost of the stay and the star rating of the hotel are exceedingly high, given the subpar services provided. Although the hotel's website does a stellar job of showcasing the property, the actual experience is a stark contrast to what is presented online. Upon deciding to leave after the first night, we found that the hotel staff did not seem surprised by our decision. They provided us with two email addresses to request a refund, but unfortunately, we did not receive a response from either. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

Great location, beautiful resort….. BUT. Staff do not care. No day cleaning, we had an infestation of ants & reported to 3 different reception staff. Nothing happened, we offered to spray the room ourselves. Nothing. Also no aperitivo in the bar. Bar staff was had to find. She was rarely there. She couldn’t find gin, or vodka or scotch whisky. So we just got basic white wine. Not given wine menu etc. We paid €320 a night for 2 star service in a 5 star resort.

Beautiful place. Breakfast is fine. Dont dine here! Horrible. We sent 3/4 of the food back. Waiters did not ask anything. Guess they are used to it. They do their best but dont know what they are doing. Worst food experience in 8 days of Italy. Wine was delicious though.

A huge complex including a golf 18 holes, a hotel, restaurant, bar, swimming pools, and parc. We enjoyed a drink under a century old olive tree, at a very reasonable price : only € 5.5 each. 👍🥂 And personal is very friendly. 👌 We will come back for diner and are quite confident it will be a great experience. Recommended! 👍

Large hotel facility (4 star hotel) located in a quiet area not too far from the cost and Syracuse. There is parking available on property. The rooms are spacious but are very “cold” and outdated. Our room was located close to the hotel lobby / close to the pool. As employees use huge carts to carry their items, it was very noisy all day and all night. When asked to change rooms, we were told the hotel was fully booked…Upon checking in, we were offered a spa voucher, except the spa was under “treatment” our entire stay, that’s unfortunate. We were offered a welcome drink at the bar and had to wait that evening to use the voucher. Turns out it was actually just a selection of juices. The breakfast is included in your hotel stay and offers a large variety of items including gluten free items in a buffet style. The club house by the pool offers a selection of light lunches that are a bit overpriced and some of the proposed items in the menu were completely unknown to the staff. The pool area is fairly clean. What is missing from this property is service oriented staff and greater attention to detail as it does not meet the standards of a 5 star resort.

Our stay at the hotel was exceptional. Everything was perfect. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was very good, staff was very helpful and friendly. We dined at the restaurant, which was amazing. Thank you for having vegetarian options on the menu. Well done for being pet friendly! Our dog really enjoyed the stay ☺️ We will definitely visit again!!

This place has a potential the owners don’t even know. The beginning of our stay was problematic (the room keys were given but it wasn’t ready yet) sad surprise. Fortunately, Yalda was there and did everything to help change our mood and stay. Without her, it would have been totally different. It’s a great location and has spacious rooms. The pool was empty that day but I cannot imagine how beautiful it must be full. Dinner was fantastic and breakfast was as out of this world. Amazing! They could improve training to enhance service in general. We would definitely come back !

Overall, the hotel is lovely. The room we were in overlooked the golf course, a buitiful view. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The pool is also great, large, clean, and having ample sunchairs. In addition, there is a spa, which was a nice addition. We also got a golf lesson (a first for my wife and I, which was fantastic, along with a golf cart tour of the course). Drinks are always available throughout the day and at the bar in the evening. A billiard table is also available for play (free of charge), which was a nice touch that we enjoyed with others I the evenings. The main reason I didn't give the place a 5 star review was the food from the restaurant. Comparing the food quality in sicily, the restaurant, for dinner, did not meet expectations with 2 out of 4 dishes being bland and not what you expect for the price. The waitress immediately offered a different main course once we brought this to her attention. We didn't eat at the restaurant again due to the level of the food. We had dinner in syracuse (you will need to drive there. If you go ortiga at night is amazing)! The other item I found out of place, is the fact that by the pool drinks are served in what looks like disposable coffee glasses, for the price 12 eur a cocktail I would expect tall glasses (I do understand not using glass by the pool, however there are several neat reusable options today).

Horrifying restaurant experience, but the breakfast is quite nice. Everything else is average and not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Avoid dinner at all costs.

So much wasted potential. This is a beautiful hotel with lovely peaceful grounds surrounding it. However, it is by no means a 5 star Hotel. In spite of the fact that the structure is indeed beautiful, there is an evident lack of attention to detail which makes this hotel, at best, a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is very good. The pastry selection is truly lovely, very tasty and fresh. Unfortunately the coffee is not freshly brewed but is offered through a self service machine. The food offered for lunch at the Club Bar is good and so is the service. However the same cannot be said for the food offerings by the pool and at the hotel restaurant. The food selection offered by the pool is abysmal - the club sandwich we ordered was more akin to a toasted sandwich offered at a seaside shack - not what one would expect at a 5 star hotel. As regards the restaurant open in the evening we were glad not to have ordered any food past the first course. We had a portion of pasta with beef ragu which frankly was flavourless. Rather disappointing was the chef's decision to add frozen peas to this dish - an addition which did not improve the subpar pasta dish we were presented with. The Tiramisu was a disgrace to the name of this dessert being rather two savoiardi sponges dipped in coffee with some sort of foamy cream sandwiched in between. Needless to say that should this hotel insist on regarding itself as a 5 star hotel and charging prices at this level, it should take a hard look at its restaurant. Eating there on the first night caused us to venture out of the hotel every evening of our stay rather than risk eating at this restaurant and being charged to eat mulch. Another ridiculous policy of this hotel - which is indeed marketed as a resort - is the fact that they will not replace your poolside towel unless you are willing to pay an additional fee of 5 euros. That means that you are expected to use the same towel for the whole stay. Considering the amount of orders one places while enjoying a day by the pool, the management should really consider offering fresh towels to the guests to make the stay more comfortable. To add insult to injury upon arrival one of our towels was frayed - this was replaced once we contacted the reception. The pool area per se is quite lovely however the pool is in dire need of refurbishment. The paint is peeling off the sides and bottom of the pool giving the impression that the pool is filthy. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a tendency for ants to be roaming around the room but it seems that once one complains the reception does try to handle the situation. Upon arrival our room was not ready, a situation which went on well into an hour past check-in time. The reception was quick to offer us both a complimentary drink while we waited for our room to be prepared. The reception also offers fresh cucumber water refills which is a much welcome service during the summer months. Unfortunately this is a 5 star hotel run by amateurs. It is such a great pity that with further attention to detail this hotel has the potential to be truly exceptional. To conclude, one would point out though that most of the staff members do try to help the guests out and have a good command of the English language.

This hotel is an exceptional value for the money. It appears to be well appointed for a relaxing stay. Very peaceful and quiet location. Easy to get lost in the moment. Lovely pool area which lends to the property’s overall calm setting. The staff was overall friendly and helpful. You will need a car to visit the surrounding towns which should not be missed. Would definitely stay again. Cheers!

Really poor experience overall. Very disappointed with the pricing policy and also with some levels of service. Charging 5EUR extra for fresh orange juice at breakfast, 4EUR extra for an omelette, 22EUR extra for our son's bedtime milk (!), 80EUR extra for his cot and 5EUR for new pool towels is not at all befitting of a supposedly higher end hotel. It felt like any additional ask would be charged. Likewise signs at breakfast saying "strictly prohibited to take away items from breakfast" again made it seem like a budget hotel. Service from the staff was friendly and polite, but our shower wasn't fixed for the duration of the stay in spite of raising the issue with reception on our first day (would constantly change from very cold to dangerously hot without touching the temperature control). This meant we couldn't wash our son in the shower for the duration of our stay (had to use the sink where the water did run at a consistent temperature, but again this hardly feels like a 5* experience for him or us!) Other more minor aspects we were disappointed with included the quality of the swimming pool (its floor was peeling and clearly needed work), average food quality with limited choice, unable to have a table in the restaurant on our first night of arrival (maybe due to hosting work events or non-residents of the hotel?) So we had to have room service with a 15EUR delivery fee. Other weird observations:- same bottle of wine costs different amounts in the bar Vs restaurant; we were told table service in the bar so sat down to wait for them but they never came 15mins later so had to go back to the bar where they then took our order: tried to order meatballs on two different nights, once told they were unavailable and two nights later told we'd been shown the wrong menu and it was on tomorrow's menu. Overall it's so far from a 5 * experience that I would never stay in a Mira hotel again. It's a shame, as the surroundings are very nice and the buildings/locations and facilities have potential.

Visited off peak time (late Sept) and the place was quite and the weather bit rainy so pool facilities were really used from our side. Recommended especially for the Golf players.
