The
name
suggests
that
this
place
is
home
to
many
migratory
birds.
But
not
at
all.
The
image
of
innumerable
flying
birds
is
drawn
on
a
low
hill.For
the
past
few
years,
artist
Chitta
Dey
has
been
working
on
in-situ
rock
sculpture
on
the
hill.The
artist
started
working
in
1996
with
a
government
grant.The
hill
was
originally
called
Mura
Buru
(800
feet
high).
Gradually
the
hill
came
to
be
known
as
‘Bird
Hill’.
Dense
jungle
all
around.
Hilly
red
road
full
of
shawl
teak.You
have
to
book
a
guide
to
see
all
the
pictures
(Rs:
100).
But
keep
this
in
mind,
do
not
take
any
food
with
you
here
as
the
smell
of
food
makes
the
bees
move
upwards.
My
3rd
picture
was
drawn
first.
My
4th
picture
started
during
Corona
but
could
not
finish
as
the
lockdown
started.
