😠 My recent encounter with St. Paul's Hospital in Iloilo was nothing short of a harrowing experience. I cannot express enough how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with the level of service provided by this institution. First and foremost, finding parking at St. Paul's Hospital is an absolute... People often mention hospital, patient, staff, medical, room, time, doctors, wait, care, Hospital,

Quick and efficient hospital. If you are a foreigner with travel insurance, make sure to ask your insurer the local affiliate of your insurance or else the billing administrator will have a hard time approving your tests. That's the only hassle as they surely want to get paid first. The doctors and nurses were very nice to me and was surprised by the quick care I was provided. The other great thing is they send you the test results online so you don't have to wait in the hospital for it. All in all very respectful, well trained staff.

My parents were hospitalized here in 2013 & 2019. My parents' condition worsened & unexpectedly DIED. Their medical files were available from their regular doctors. Various doctors reviewed their history & consulted; their diagnosis varied. There was no common solution; treatments & procedures varied. Medicines were not instantly and rarely available for purchase, you had to travel around Iloilo pharmacies for them. All that time wasted! Treatments & procedures were advised and performed, which weakened their immune system. Medical decisions weren't made on time & in unison. I learnt that this is just a mundane routine for some medical staff. There was NO sense of compassion & NO true essence of healing. There was NO efficient timely check-ups and updates. My parents overstayed & endured an array of treatments & procedures their aged bodies couldn't handle. And if you're an average person with no medical education, how can anyone have questions & doubts then; and especially when only one person can't solely make decisions on behalf of their parents. This hospital & doctors financially profited. They can buy lechon for an orphanage :) These doctors & nurses were and are pharmaceutically drug pushers. It is a business after all; a business of the sick & dying. My advice to anyone reading this, is to fully LOVE & care for the sick & dying at home. Have a doctor who knows & practices the ART of HEALING & EMPOWERMENT....NOT who has an unprogressive institutionalized education, carelessly uses pharmaceutical drugs, and drastic unnecessary, medical procedures & treatments. REAL medical professionals are those who think outside the box; enforces natural FOOD IS MEDICINE, being kind & in tuned with the body, mind & spirit around nature, and especially invoke SELF-EMPOWERMENT. Our bodies are strong & have the ability to heal on their own when we choose.

Incredibly rude staff but very kind security guards. Been there for a check up and the doctors weren't nice AT ALL! Feels intimidating, dark, expensive and would never EVER recommend anyone to this place. Their hospital is a religious motivated hospital but the attitudes says otherwise. Don't expect too much. Very unorganized and unwelcoming hospital.

Very poor coordination for transfer from emergency room to the private room. It takes decades of Waiting.even they say that the room is available. Please improve your service.

Very slow OPD services. The nurse who assisted has a very bad working attitude. There are no more patients on the line, how could you make us wait for 3 hours? Seriously!?

Tried to stop here at 3 am on 17 jun 2022. The guard at main gate was completely asleep, did not wake up when my driver honked. Drove over to triage, was a guard there but nobody was inside to take care of anybody. Will never try to go here ever again.

Got admitted last 2017 when I gave birth. So far, my experience is okay. Very friendly and approachable staff and health care workers. Everything is clean and orderly. You can even process the birthcert from them and get it in a week so no sweat. Even with billing kg Phil Health sanO, my transaction was smooth. Thank you, SPH!

If you have problems financially don’t go to this hospital, you will be shocked how they add bills to your account without even showing you the breakdown or informing you ahead that they gonna bill you this amount. Very expensive and unprofessional nurses (not all) are working here.

This place seems ok for ph standards. As a foreigner you still feel a big hassle running around the hospital buying things youself all the time. When you go in the pharmacy of the hospital to buy the stuff you will also be sent to central sterile supplies in another floor to get stuff they dont have it there and vice versa. Often they will tell you they are out of stock and you will end up in the traffic going to several pharmacies in the whole city to hopefully find it. When you come back dont be surprised if they send you again because they didnt write the correct amount. They also dont think ahead like ask you to buy the antibiotics for the whole threatment - you will end up buying pill after pill if you dont please them to put the whole thing on the receipt! Billing and cashier service is inefficient at all: You easy gonna wait one hour at the billing while the cashiers are doing nothing at all. Or you gonna wait at the cashiers while billing doing nothing at all. What really sucks are these senior priority lines everywhere which are for 60+ age people but other people will use it all the time just to be served faster. They will send you a temporary hospital bill every morning as text message - after three days they will ask you to pay a deposit. You can choose rooms with tv and fridge but they dont give you a remote control for the tv, the tv is mounted high at the wall and far away from the bed *facepalm*. The food seems quite ok - of course rice three times a day. At least most of the staff, doctors and nurses are friendly and know mostly what they are doing.

Nurses were not experienced... got a suite room but the room looks old. If I only knew that they only have 1 Pedia Resident Doctor in the entire hospital I would have not chosen this hospital. We were transferred to a Pedia Ward on our 3rd day for staff nurses on the 5th floor was not experienced and the Only Resident Pedia Doctor would take time to go up the 5th floor just to check on my baby girl. Since her case is dengue and time is crucial... we had no choice. I wanted to transfer my baby girl to another hospital but we had no choice and chose to stay. Terrible Experience!!! They should have informed us before we were granted to be admitted. Now we are stuck in the Pedia ward with all other patients.

My recent encounter with St. Paul's Hospital in Iloilo was nothing short of a harrowing experience. I cannot express enough how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am with the level of service provided by this institution. First and foremost, finding parking at St. Paul's Hospital is an absolute nightmare. The lack of parking spaces makes it incredibly challenging for patients and their families to find a suitable spot. This added stress and inconvenience only serve to worsen an already stressful situation. To add insult to injury, I had to endure an excruciating 15-hour wait just to secure a room. Instead of providing a comfortable environment for recovery, I was made to wait at the Ward, which was highly inconvenient and uncomfortable. This extended delay not only hindered my recuperation but also displayed a complete disregard for patients' well-being and their time. To compound matters further, the nursing staff mentioned that they would process my PHILHEALTH coverage. However, to my dismay, the Billing Department later informed me that my insurance was not covered. This misleading information resulted in unexpected financial burden and left me questioning the hospital's integrity and transparency in dealing with patients' insurance matters. Furthermore, during my brief two-day stay, I was subjected to a series of incompetence and negligence. I arrived at the hospital at 10 am to have my allergies checked, but due to a lack of available rooms, I was forced to wait in the ward for an excruciating 15 hours. It was only at 1 am the following day that I was finally moved to a room. This prolonged delay in providing a proper room not only compromised my comfort but also showcased a complete lack of respect for patients' needs and well-being. Adding insult to injury, after enduring such a traumatic experience, I was slapped with an exorbitant bill of P18,000.00 upon my discharge. The charges were outrageous and completely disproportionate to the level of care and service I received. It is evident that St. Paul's Hospital prioritizes profit over the well-being of its patients, preying on vulnerable individuals during their most vulnerable moments. In summary, St. Paul's Hospital Iloilo has demonstrated a profound lack of professionalism, empathy, and respect for their patients. From the abysmal parking situation to the outrageous wait times, misleading information about insurance coverage, and exorbitant billing practices, this institution has proven itself to be a disgrace to the healthcare profession. I strongly advise anyone in need of medical care to steer clear of St. Paul's Hospital Iloilo, as their disregard for patient welfare is unforgivable.

I went for a bone scan on a Sunday, arrived 3.5 hours early and was greeted with the most friendly people. Everyone from the gaurd to staft was so helpful and kind. Once at the Cancer center we were just checking in and they said since we were so early they would get started. Highly recommend the Nucaler Care Center and St Paul Hospital.

My grandma was admitted with Pneumonia and was hooked on a ventilator. On the day she became critically unwell, I spoke to a doctor and she explained that our patient has very low oxygen saturation of 58% on 100 % oxygen support, bilateral pleural effusions, no renal output, atrial fibrillation, comatose, edematous, septic leading to organ failure. So upon knowing the condition of our patient we asked the doctor what’s her prognosis? How long will she live? The doctor said she was very unwell but she cannot gave us prognosis kay basi ma reverse pa ang patient. In that condition Doc, really??? Kay indi mag hatag si Doc ka prognosis, we asked her for the GCS Score and she said 3. Na shock kami- that’s nearly dead, Doc. Gusto tani namon nga prangka kamo about our patient’s condition so that we can make a decision, if we will carry on with present treatment and management or stop treatment na lang. We have money to pay the bills but our top priority is our patient’s comfort. We asked about palliative care but she said depende sa relatives, kung mabakal pa kamo sang resita so tuloy ang treatment. I said, really Doc? Kahit our patient is unsurvivable? Doc naman. So frustrating kasi while I was talking to her ginapasa niya ang phone balik sa Sister ko. Uncomfortable si Doc mag discuss about this things. Luckily, somebody in the family has a medical background. Our conclusion is in this hospital ang Palliative Care will depend kung ang patient may pera. Kung May pera tuloy ang suffering sang patient eventhough she is dying , but kung wala kuwarta tigil ang treatment kahit maka survive pa ang patient. So sad realization. You are not looking after the comfort and best interest of your patients. What you are after is kung paano kayo magkapera sa patient niyo. We decided as a family not to resuscitate and withdraw active medical treatment but to keep her on ventilator. Our patient died peacefully surrounded by her family. We all agreed that we did the right decision as a family.

I never had any good experience with this hospital. Back in 2017, I suffered from severe stomach pain, and I was rushed into the ER. TLDR: After giving specific info about my situation they just let me lie in bed for 4 hours and was released. No body told us what the diagnosis was or any hint to what was the cause. A few yrs later I undergone surgery for gall stones in Mission Hospital, which was way better than St. Paul's
