A great stay at the resort, pity the water in the room wasn’t working and the one coming out from the bathroom tap was muddy for the first minute every time u used it. Toilet didn’t flush so you had to use the bucket, shower didn’t work, so we had to shower in one of pool ones. Basically again I am a bit surprised why such amazing resorts don’t pay more attention to maintenance. BUT the hot springs are amazing and beef up the score, so it is worth the effort and the stay. A great relaxing place, I would not mind coming back. Just laying in the hot spring watching the big bats 🦇 flying around above you is worth it.

So I do love this resort couple things have changed since I have last been here so this is not going to be a top spot for me any more. The waterfalls are CLOSED, was told by staff that it is possible not be opened again. This is due to a storm that caused land slides on the trail. But this was a major reason for me to come. 2nd restaurant. Before there was so many restaurants here great food and good beer, well not any more. This I assume is due to covid but unsure. Sulphur spring is still open and still very nice just need more cooling spouts as I have always said. Rooms are nice nothing fancy but for the price it's a good deal. You will need to make reservations for the rooms as this place does fill up pretty fast. Staff is great and very accommodating. All in all still nice but not as nice as once upon a time.

Mambukal was the first place I took my girlfriend "now wife" on a date. We wanted to relive that after the pandemic. To my upmost disappointment it's nothing like it once was. The restaurant near the bridge are gone. The butterfly garden is gone. The pools and hot springs are there but overcrowded cause there is nothing else to do. The lake where you can rent a boat it's gone too. We just walked for 10 mins and left. The "new" hotel they built is not even don't yet. Hopefully someone with enough sense will make this place a got to but as for now. AVOID!

This is a perfect place for those nature lovers our there. There are several waterfalls and hiking trail to go around and you will feel a peaceful vibe while walking. There's are also lots of big trees and birds around the area which give it a cool and natural vibe. There's also a pool and several swimming spots along the creek if you need to cool down. Downside is the place is crowded during weekends specially the swimming pool. Facilities are just average and some are not well maintained so I will not recommend it for a stay. Day tour only will be great.

I had doubts when I first came here with my family and friends due to the fact that the resort received negative reviews during the Pandemic. But I was amazed by the service. The staffs are friendly and easy to talk to. The place is amazingly full of nature and wonders. We would definitely go back the second time.

Mambucal Mountain Resort is a beautiful and peaceful destination that my family and I visited before the pandemic. While the natural surroundings were breathtaking and the staff were friendly, we were disappointed to find that the resort had not undergone much improvement since our last visit. The facilities and amenities were minimal and in need of updating. However, we are hopeful that the resort has taken the time during the pandemic to make necessary improvements and upgrades. The location of the resort, nestled in the mountains, is truly unique and we hope to visit again in the future to see the positive changes that have been made.

Mambukal has reopened as a Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary. A new food court stands, but no grilled food nor karaoke that disturb the bats and birds. Pools still very good 👍

Oh yesss Mambukal! this is an all time favorite and a usual destination for guests outside of Bacolod. Try to go to Mambukal on week ends for their newly launched "Kaon sa Suba" a buffet is set up with filipino food being served, your feet feeling cold and are wet, with a great view of the boating lagoon. Buffet served at P499, ped or senior at P399

We stayed in the Family room l. A very spacious house with hot water and good AC in the rooms with two bathrooms and bedrooms. Only 5,500 for up to 10 people. Very quiet at night and a great view. There is no bidet, shampoo, or toothpaste nor do they have a restaurant. They have toilet paper and a food service that delivers for free from Murcia.

It's kind of a hassle in booking as the one in charge talks more than listens and fails to understand and address the concern. They definitely need to make a streamlined system for their booking. Place is beautiful as always. And we were happy that they limit the number of tourists per day. It was fully booked when we got there but it was not jam packed as they did not allow 100% utilization. There were vacant cottages so physical distancing was easy. Though they need to clean the pool as we were having some minor allergies after swimming. All in all it was a good trip. And bring your food as right now the food court is not yet operational.

My group came just for the hot springs and had a good time soaking. I wish they had a place with cool drinks, but if you pack a picnic basket, there are sheltered tables where you can eat outdoors and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Lovely!

They now have a hotel and function rooms. But what we're after is the hot spring. It's called Japanese Ofuro , I guess. We loved it because it's sulfur water. It's hot but very calming. Their entrance is around Php 130 which includes pool access. The sulfur hot spring is Php 100 which needs to be paid separately but it's worth it. 👌 Good place to relax, unwind and be with love ones. One about Mambukal is their phone line, no one answers their phone. lol Also, their newly built hotel is not yet done , I guess. The lake where you can do boating is gone, the place where you can eat near the lake is gone and other things we've been enjoying before are gone. IDK why.

We stayed here for a weeks and I loved there hotspring and water falls but they don't have a restaurant there so we just go out and bring our own food . And there's a lot of securities there .. and also the bats are everywhere hanging on the tree 🌲

Place is Great, Food court is closed other public facilities are no longer operational. E.g. Showers, Faucet, Toilet Flush, Canteen. Falls Hiking is not yet available as of June 6 2022. Every staff is friendly. Hoping for an immediate action from the local government of Murcia. The MainHot Spring is not that hot anymore compared before.

A short drive from Bacolod City and up into the mountains above Murcia, Mambucal Resort has a natural, rainforest-like feel - with bats! - and is primarily known for its sulfuric hot springs and waterfalls. Great hiking venue, and overnight lodging is available.

Day trip with family, senior citizens among them. Swimming pool, hot springs and spa were nice. Nice place to commune with nature with verdant forests, foxbats, birds. But the facilities for a day trip were terrible. Communal toilet for the restaurant didn't have a toilet seat for the ladies. No soap, unsanitary if it's for the resto. Smelly. If eating in the resto, don't get the fried chicken. It's more expensive but they'll serve you just 1 wing. Better off with the burger or "silogs." Changing rooms and bathrooms for the pool area are dimly lit, with dirty tiles. This place has seen better days.

If you're looking for a legitimate hot spring and Eco park experience that won't leave you broke, then this place might be to your liking. There's value for money when it comes to their room accommodation and services however, one thing I noticed that needs improvement is the food park. Food park is open from 8 am to 5 pm only.

The accommodation is affordable, but it's quite far from the entrance, My friends and I don't have a car so we need to walk from the entrance all the way to the cabin, I don't advise it if you guys are planning to carry a lot of things. The ambience is perfect for me. A perfect for a city break, nature lovers like me ♥️♥️🥹

This is a fantastic resort and wildlife refuge. We were thrilled to see "flying foxes," some of the largest fruit bats in the worlds, and take a dip in the hot sulfur springs. New rules prohibit hiking the trail up to the seven waterfalls without proper footwear.

Went there again after 5 years, and the place seemed pretty much the same. Nature at it's finest. We were able to book in advance and it brought back a lot of memories. Hot dip was one of the reasons we went there and it was an excellent trip.

I went there with my girlfriend's family. They had a wonderful time there. They enjoyed the hot springs, swimming pool and overall atmosphere. The rooms were okay, and the air-conditioning worked well in all our rooms except one. That room was exchanged for a different room and everything was fine. This was not our original destination, but it turned out to be great. I'm an American, and this was my first visit to the Philippines. The people are very friendly. The place wasn't very crowded for early July.

Great deal for the money you paid. I love the spa and the massage I got. Also love the hot springs and the surrounding forest, streams and lake. Best place to be if you want to restart and take away your stress. Just be there on weekdays to avoid crowds. Weekends, they are usually fully booked. Walk-ins might not be accommodated.

Its not the same as it used to. You can still enjoy the pools and hot springs, hike up to the falls, sulfur baths has extra charge. Its still a decent place to escape from the busy urban environment. Still very relaxing place.

Date visited: 2023-04-15 The resort is generally well-maintained and clean. It was refreshing to be surrounded by trees, birds, bats, butterflies, and dragonflies. Overall, It was an OK experience but it could've been better if the falls were open during our time of visit.

Kudos to all the personnel and staff they're all so friendly. I had a good night sleep in the place as it was so refreshing and so serene. Like you are literally sleeping inside the forest. You can hear birds singing and whistling.

The resort was really nice, although there were a few downsides. First of all the pools were incredible, especially the hot spring. The hot spring was incredible. But the steam makes hard to breathe sometimes. The bathrooms and showers were pretty dirty. The toilet I was going to use was covered in ants. Overall pretty good. Would recommend.

  • 5/5 Ghie G. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome place. Villa rooms are outstanding value, better than the lgu cottages for a similar price. Location, forest, gardens and springs are totally awesome. Only downside was the closure of the 7 waterfalls walk, this is a glorious walk and should be open to the public to let them experience the magnificent forest and river.

Great place to relax, i love the hot springs and the pool. It's a bit out of the way and the place is pretty big, so, it takes a while to find staff. Had to drive to get to the lobby, you could also walk, or jog, roads are all paved.

(Translated by Google) In the countryside, you can get there by car from Bacolod in about an hour. You will arrive while watching the idyllic scenery without the traffic jam like Manila. The dining room and the shops in the resort were reasonably priced, and the food was very satisfying with a homely taste. There is also a hot spring (wearing a bathing suit), and beauty treatments and massages are available at low prices, so you can relieve the stress of everyday life. You can use the cafeteria when you go here, but it's a barbecue. There are no supermarkets nearby, so there are murcia and Yumachi on the way, so please go there. There is also a small market called Tinabu-ay Public Market, which measures and sells fish, meat and vegetables, and there are various shops. Since there is no parking lot, it is common sense to park in any place (laughs). Security is not bad either. You can taste the Philippines, different from Manila and Cebu. There are no gas stations up to Mumbukal, so there are two in murcia, so if you need refueling, please put it in this town. Mumbul is really nothing but a resort where you can enjoy the great outdoors. By the way, my villa is in MUICIA, so I definitely go there once a year.

If ever you are in Iloilo or Bacolod, this mountain resort is a nice place to relax, recharge and enjoy a day or two away from the busy city life. Accommodation is simple. Food is reasonably priced but nothing special. It is being close to nature that Mambukal offers its guests. I enjoyed having an early morning walk across the resort’s many trails. There are also lots of attractions and activities to choose from.

Pros: >Beautiful space to bond with the family. >Tables and pools are available for a fee. >Various activities are also offered for fun. >You can bring your own food with no corkage. Cons: >Parking could be a challenge during peak season. >Bring your own food if you're not planning to do the weekend buffet because stores are far from the activity and chill area. >The hot spring was too hot for us. It was perhaps around 40 degrees or more. (This could be a pro for some.)

Another attraction to visit in Bacolod! A lot of activities can be done here. You may take a dip in their hot spring. Have a natural back massage from waterfalls. Falls are actually quite far from the are. Do swimming in their cold pool. Try mud spa in sulfuric pool. Then, buy beautiful and very cheap flower seedlings.

  • 5/5 Cyril C. 4 years ago on Google
A very good and quite place tp escape and relax from. The hustle and bustle life in the city and in your work. The cittages are affordable and the dipping pool and Ofuro hot pools soothes your tired muscles. There is also a spa which offers you different massage services. The adventure towards the seven falls in one of the best ways you can experience being a nature lover and see for real the so called fruit bats. There are also a lot of recreational. Activities for you to choose from.

This mountain resort has a hotel, and spa with hot springs or sulfur bath. It is reasonably priced.

  • 5/5 Maria A. 5 years ago on Google
They have an entrance fee of 50 pesos. And another 100 or 150 pesos for the hot spring. We just had a quick stroll around the resort which was actually nice with the scenery you'll see around. We saw some kayaks but we didn't try because of the time. Several restaurants are available also inside the resort. Ate lunch I'd say its a bit pricey but food was delicious nonetheless. Also to those who are commuting, the small buses have a trip schedule so you better ask for the trip schedule if you are time constraint.

The place is a bit far to travel if you're flying straight from Manila. We took a bus 2 times to get to the location. The place was like a paradise! I felt as if I wasn't in the Philippines anymore because of the tranquility that it offers. The sound of the water flowing, birds chirping, the atmosphere of the entire resort was just to die for! If you are looking for a place to relax with your family or your partner, this is a great place to escape into. The have Japanese-inspired hot springs, a butterfly sanctuary, you can rent a motorbike for touring the 7 falls, giant bat watching or just a nice stroll. There are canteens available too, however, they have operating hours. For those staying overnight, make sure that you have food and water in your cabin to last until the morning comes. You have to take a visit once you are in Bacolod! It's an absolute gem.

  • 3/5 Lian V. 4 years ago on Google
A good place for nature tripping. You can avail of their buffet lunch for 499 (11am to 2pm) or bring your own food then eat it on the benches provided. The mambukal dipping pool may get too crowded so another option is the more expensive dipping pool (sorry I don't have a picture of it) which will cost you 100 pesos. You can also trek up to the falls but be sure to have a good pair of rubber / aqua shoes :)

  • 5/5 Kaye A. 3 years ago on Google
We did not stay here overnight. Just a day tour. Perfect for everyone who loves nature! There are a lot of segregated trash bins available, to avoid littering and protect our Mother Nature. There's also an ecobrick bottle to fill in on top of trash bins. Though, I find it a bit off, since it is important to clean the plastics/ wraps that needs to be put inside the ecobrick. Some of the visitors might not knowledgeable about ecobricking. I would suggest if they can remove the "Ecobricking" part on their trashbins or put some sign on ways how to make an Ecobrick, that would be great. Lots of food choices available. If you like trekking, it's perfect to hike the waterfalls with a minimal guide fee. But if you like to just relax, there's also a hot spring and massage available in the area. You can also visit the Butterfly Sanctuary with a separate entrance fee of P100 per person. You can also buy souvenirs there.

We were there for a day trip. I loved the nature all around. The hotspring was so pretty. The pool os perfect for a family with kids. But the toilets were disgusting. Aside from the entrance fee, we had to pay for every single activity we wanted to try. This place has sooo much pontential. I am excited to see how it will look like after the renovations. They should really work on maintaining the place. We still had a lot of fun though.

It a great place for a taste of nature. Enjoyed the trekking to the falls, dipping at the hot spring, camping, zip-line, and food trip. There are so much more activities to do at the place at a budget price. A great place to be with your family and friends. Dipping pool must be cleaned from time to time though and the smell of sulfur at the food court is quite unappealing.
