My wife and I really enjoyed our visit. The staff is great and the food was delicious. Fresh fruit and vegetables that were cooked to perfection. For desert we had the mango crepe and it was beyond delicious. We will definitely return for more meals. Prices are a little higher than some local restaurants but the food is fresher, better seasoned, and the dishes we had were perfectly cooked.

My first time to visit the place. It's such a nice and serene escapade in the midst of the mangroves and trees... It is indeed a great escape from the hustle of the city life... There's a restaurant, function room, water sports like kayaking and paddleboard, and cottages. Backpackers can also stay for a night in their dormitories for a fee of 550 pesos per head. Meanwhile, a private cottage for 2 is worth over 2000 pesos.

Surpassed our expectations. Bungalow is lovely and clean, staff and owners are incredibly friendly. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. All surrounded by a lovely nature setting. The fire flies at night along the walk way were so magical. Owners very helpful with local tips and arranging transfers. Excellent communication. Highly recommend and would love to return.

Great for backpackers. 5 minutes away from Moalboal town only, and the place is worth these 5 minutes: right next to the mangroves, the apartments are comfy and the bamboo floors are great, you see fireflies just walking in to the complex at night and sometimes see luminiscence plancton by their pier. Last, service and dinner couldn’t be better.

Great place for backpackers, families and anyone who enjoys a bit of nature! We saw trees filled with fireflies and it was serene being in the mangroves - the owners have put a lot of love and time into making this a great place to stay. Easy to get into town for drinks and dinner or the food in their restaurant is also delicious!

The resort is beautiful, very well organised, very clean. The staff and the owners are helpful and friendly. The view- wow! The food in the restaurant is good but i think the portions are a bit small to what you pay. The wi-fi is not strong enough. The rooms are big but all of our group had bed bugs (cottage and dormitory) and it overcame the good expirience. The resort is about 20 min. drive From Moalboal- far for those without a motorbike

It was great stumbling upon Eskapo Verde for our spontaneous trip. The owners and staff were accommodating and makes sure guests have the best experience. I love the craftsmanship of the cottages. No AC were installed but it was designed to be well ventilated. There are birds chirping and it was sure an escape from our usual routine and scenery from the city. Simon and Alain, were really kind to lend me a laptop as I forgot to bring mine thinking I will be back on Sunday. Eventually decided to extend so I had to borrow their laptop to submit my report on Monday. What a life saver! Anyway, we were able to go to nearby attractions- Cambais falls, Lambug Beach, then Mantayupan Falls as we head back to the city. Everyone there were helpful and the food in the restaurant was great! I had their catch of the day and they served it fresh... If you are into nature, quiet, laidback, and easy getaway, Eskapo Verde is for you. :)

We stopped by for an evening meal at the restaurant, very impressed... we walked down to the walkway onto the water for the sunset and had a lovely chat with one of the owners who was already relaxing there, while our food was being cooked. We then enjoyed the reasonably priced and delicious food amongst the sound of lightly crashing waves. Perfect place to go to enjoy your meal away from the hustle 'n' bustle of the town.

One of our favourite places in Cebu. The dorms were clean and everything was simply well-designed. The restaurant serves really good food. The owners are strongly committed to sustainability and ecological responsibility, and are happy to share their knowledge and welcome travelers onto their porperty. Kayaking through their mangrove forest is a memorable experience. At night, fireflies appear on the trees around the boardwalk.

We were very glad to discover this remote place. To get to the restaurant you need to cross a bridge and some forest, very beautiful and exciting. At the end of the road there is a restaurant with a sea view. We ate at this restaurant twice at the same day, that was very delicious! They have interesting vegetarian options, I liked a dish with banana heart. We had also a lot of good advices from the host. Definitely recommend this place to eat or/and to stay.

Amazing views, very quite and relaxing atmosphere, impeccable cleanliness. Very good breakfast and lunch/dinner menu (we ate there every day and tried many dishes all of them very good quality). All members of the staff, from the ladies and guard at the office to the restaurant and kitchen staff, are super kind and they took such a good care of us. The owners are very nice too and always available to help with any request. Many thanks to all eskapo verde team for the amazing stay ❤️

I stayed here in April 2019 due to the beautiful views and high ratings. For me, this place was so close to being 5 stars—the employees are friendly, there are a range of activities at Eskapo Verde (including a contact for a motorcycle driver), the rooms are clean, and the food always tastes good—BUT 2 out of the 4 days I was there, there was no water. In a destination that has a warm climate and activities galore, shower water is possibly one of the most important and basic amenities. Unfortunately, the hostel did not provide free water bottles, so we had to use the water bottles we ourselves had already purchased elsewhere.

This place is wonderful. Set in a beautiful location. There are kayaks and paddleboards available. Very clean rooms and shower blocks. Friendly and helpful staff. Quite a quiet place so not suited for people who want a party or a night out. It's quite difficult to get transport there from moalboal if you stay out too late. But if you want to relax in a bit of jungle paradise it's perfect.

We just visited the restaurant, didn't stay here (though we wished we would). This was exactly what we needed after an otherwise below average day. Mesmerized by the bamboo walk and mangrove surrounding it we were pleasantly surprised to find somewhere that didn't just have fried chicken and rice but also a ton of vegetables on the menu. Alain was super nice and told us about the history of this place and its mangrove. We came back the next day (we loved it that much) and he showed us his piece of paradise in Cebu. So thankful, we loved it. I see no one mentioned the fireflies so I'll just mention that here. If you've had dinner here and you walk back through the mangrove at night you can see a ton of bright fireflies in the trees. It's magical ♥️

This place is truly beautiful. We stayed 3 nights and loved the concept: the huts fit well into the green, the trees provide plenty of cool so there really is no need for an AC, the view from the restaurant over the bay and mangroves is amazing, and the food was delicious. Alain and Simon and the rest of the staff are very accommodating and super attentive. We booked a canyoneering tour and scooter with their partners, everything smooth and easy. Will definitely stay again when we return to Badiyan (Moalboal is a 10 min scooter ride away)!

Only stayed for 1 night but the rooms were very clean and comfortable minus a few bugs that slipped through. It is very eco friendly here and I appreciate that. The fan works very well and I did not feel sweaty inside the room. The washrooms are also very clean and spacious. Food was amazing at the restaurant. It took awhile to come out but I knew they were making everything fresh! Got the old style chicken adobo and it was AMAZING. Ordered their fresh mango shake twice and it is very tasty! The owner personally showed us around the resort and told us about kayaking between the mangroves. Would definitely come back to stay again.

Love the place. Secluded, calm and green! Almost all materials used are their facilities are locally available. Food are of local dishes but are really given so much attention in its preparation. Marine conservation and customer satisfaction are their priority in this place.Definitely coming back!

Beautiful area. A mix of pristine nature and clean and traditional houses. The architecture is great and don’t disturb the landscape. The owners and the staff are lovely and attentive. No details have been forgotten by them. The traditional food is delicious. True Philippines experience. Thank you Simon!

Stumbled across this hidden gem by accident while driving out from Moalboal. After crossing the bamboo bridge and mangrove forest we got to enjoy the most authentic and freshest Filipino food we've had on our trip so far. Don't miss the fresh banana and mango shake either! Incredibly friendly owner and staff and a wonderfully picturesque backdrop to our lunch. Highly recommended.

My family of 4 stayed in two of the private cottages. Eskapo Verde is the perfect place to unwind and just detach from the bustle of the modern, tech world. The cottages were constructed and designed so well. Being situated within the mangroves was the bonus because it gave us really peaceful evenings and naturally chirpy (the birds wake you up!) mornings. The staff & owners were all very attentive without being intrusive. Big thanks to Simon & Alain for creating a beautiful place in Badian.

It was the best stay ever, the owners are very hospitable and kind to every guest. Too kind that they toured us on the whole place to help us with our research on sustainable management subject in college. what a ride! It needs more recognition!
