Important: For some reason, the marker for this place is located in the wrong spot, about 805 meters or 0.5 miles off from the most southern-most point of the beach. Please get this marker corrected Google Maps team. There are two main beaches in Moalboal. Locals calls it basdaku (big sand) and basdiot (little sand), the world knows it as the White Beach and the Panagsama Beach respectively. The White Beach or "basdaku" of Moalboal, as both its proper and local name suggests, is known for its pristine white sands and the huge area it covers - its a really big beach! Even when there are hundreds of visitors around, it doesn't feel crowded cause you can always find your own spot. It is known as "white" beach and not "fine white" beach. If you're expecting its sand to be as fine as that of Boracay, Bohol, or even Bantayan, then you are up for a disappointment. Though it may not have the finest of sands, it does offer the most captivating of sunsets. Tip#1: You can charter a tricycle from the town plaza to get here about P150 for the entire trip (ask the tourism office for update of fare). It would take about 15 to 30 mins ride. Tip#2: To access the beach, you can drop by at the entrance of HK Resort. There's no entrance fee. Beware of scammers. Tip#3: Google Maps marker is misplaced. Best to ask the locals for direction.

Not so white. They sit in the booth collecting environment fee all day long and this is what the beach looks like. I know the weather was a bit stormy but at least clean the beach when the tide goes out for guests to enjoy.

First, map marker is wrong. The beach is about a kilometer north. The marker shows a false strech of beach that is infact just big rocks as seen in the pic with the hut roof in the water. Second, 10 peso entrence fee. The beach is very crowded, with those small identical stores you find everywhere in the Philipines dotting every square meter at the end of the beach sand opposite to the water. Basically a wall of stores. Lastly and worse, the sand is rough and filled with sharp dead coral and plastic. And the sand in the water has plastic and wood planks(?) in addition to rocks. Also ice cream vendors that walk around with a bell they constantly ring. If you look like a foreigner they will come to you and keep asking if you want to buy ice cream for the kids. Random local kids. Would not recommend.

Moalboal is a great beach, when I came here I was perplexed with it's clean white beach. I love how the texture of the sand feels like and the oceans transparent mirror like water. It is amazing, mostly that there are eatery that you can eat around the area alos. However, my only problem when swimming around the area is that jellyfish are floating around nearby, which makes swimming hard because of the stings that the jellyfishes gave.

Full of trash and dirt. No one cares about it. You pay entrance and environmental fee and this fee is definitely not used to take care of this place. Embarrassing for the Philippines…

WRONG LOCATION !! Head for map listing for HK Beach Resort and you’ll find the actual White Beach location. Or ask the locals like I did and they will ALL direct you there. It’s not a bad beach, but not world class. Reasonable developed without losing all its charm. Food, drinks, snorkelling, kayak hire, boat rides etc all available here

Very beautiful, white sand and blue waters. Kudos to the barangay and people for keeping the public beach very clean! We really enjoyed our visit.

Nice lively beach with good uninterrupted views of the sunset. Lots of stray dogs roaming around though, so do watch after your belongings and self carefully. Access is through the entrance of HK resort which is quite odd.

The water is crystal clear. You can do snorkelling, kayaking, and swimming. This place is so chill, and ver laid back, and stores close early at night, so make sure to grab all things needed before they close out

Went to this Basdaku White Beach 8 years ago and now back with family. We arrived at 7am so it's a lot cooler. It's still the same, wide white sand. It have bigger waves this time due to thunderstorm season. They are a lot of vendors, you can rent cottage for 800 pesos or 1500 pesos if you choose the beach resort. Overall, it's a good memories with family❤️. 10 Entrance fee and for Van it's 50 pesos.

Nice clean beach with crystal clear waters, but sadly not many real food options. Some locals really asking high prices for coconuts and other drinks. Nice fir a swim, but to better hang out and snorkeling Pangsama beach is better.

This beach is really not worth to visit! No shadow, whole beachfront is covered with huts, instead of Palms! Everywhere is dirt. You have to pay to access the beach - twice! People are alos not that friendly! Really disappointed

I was there last Saturday and it wasn't too busy. There was some entertainment for young children that was really funny. I made a video on it also. ( Stevie D in the Philippines )

The beach is really beautiful and the water is so clear. The experience is not so great when there are lots of people especially in the weekends,it can be super crowded. If you want to experience just a calm and relaxing beach day I suggest you go there on weekdays, there are less people going to the beach. Also when it's a low tide you can see big rocks on the ocean so not really a pleasant sight.

We went last June 2017 for our Team YLC's summer getaway and it’s my first time in Moalboal. I like the place, it’s good, peaceful, and you can relax. But what I don’t like with the place is the lack of water supply. They do not have a good water supply. You have to buy a gallon just to have water to use for washing things and for bathing. Well, if you’re a group, then you will really have to buy more gallons of water. And that is not very convenient. Nevertheless, the place is a must to be tried and I think it can be on your bucket list.

The beach itself is beautiful. They don't allow tents on the beach here. Would stay again, but I think I prefer Lambug. Gorgeous views!

White, coarse-grained sandy beach, there are stones and corals in the water, difficult to walk on. You can eat here. I didn't have to pay an entrance fee.

Pleasant and beautiful (compared to the rest of Moalboal) beach. Shacks offer food and beers at very reasonable price. Beach sellers a bit annoying though

I've been very satisfied when I visited Moalboal White Beach, especially when we had the Pescador Island Hopping. The sand is powdery white, and the accommodation there is very satisfying. We had Sardines and Turtle Watching and Cliff Jumping in Pescador Island. The day tour was worth it! <3

(Translated by Google) There are few people and the sea is beautiful. 150 peso for rental such as snorkeling. Tourists come at different prices, so you might want to ask a different person several times. I saw the first fish and coral in Cebu! (Original) 人が少ないし、海が綺麗。シュノーケリングなどのレンタルが150peso。観光客には違う値段を行って来るので何度か違う人に聞いたほうがいいかも。 セブで1番魚と珊瑚が見れた!

I like the beach here, clean, not so many tourists. You will find locals who rent the cottages during weekend. It is not just the beach which is nice, but you can swim here and do some snorkeling. The water is very clear because not many hotels around like in Panagsama.

👍👍 I find it very surprising that there are reviewers here saying White Beach is not a good place for snorkeling. They were simply doing it wrong. Yes, there are strong currents. Yes, the snorkeling is not that good in the shallow water close to the beach. Here is the key to a GREAT snorkeling expe...
