Current exhibits were interesting. Nice little detour for the day, as it's a small museum

I thought it's a nice local museum. It has some local art placed on one side which I thought was wonderful. The other side goes into some of the history of Iloilo. I just found out that the National Museum is next door to it just before writing this review. So if you go to either just walk next door and go to both. That can save you and extra trip haha.

You will feel the true Christmas here at Iloilo Capitol where lights and decorations are welcoming you.

It was surprisingly small. When viewed from the outside, with its brutalist but colorful facade, the museum seemed vast and spacious. The area inside is not well-lit and feels strangely humid. The glass cases that house the historical items look dusty. The staff members, especially those behind the registration/payment desk, are so aloof and unwelcoming. They will continue to ignore you—no smiles, no greetings whatsoever—unless you call their attention. It's like they are not happy that guests have arrived in the museum. It's a good thing the artworks displayed that day were beautiful, just enough to slightly temper the bad experience.

It's a small place beside Casa Real, with a 50 pesos entrance fee. It's worthwhile. Reading the stories and information on plaques and seeing the artifacts still made me glimpse into the rich history of this city.

Smaller than what I expected. There's a fee but I forgot how much. About Php 100.00 I think. There's a large room which houses contemporary art and a smaller room to the side which includes exhibits on history. There's no A/C when I went there. The museum is inside the Provincial Capitol Complex. Beside it is the National Museum of Western Visayas so you can visit 2 museums in 1 trip.

The lady who toured us around the small museum was nice and really knows what she is talking about. You should visit this place first before going anywhere in the city. It will give you a big picture of the city which will make you understand other places better.

A place to visit in iloilo.. we learned from our guide that Iloilo city was first known as the queen city of the South before Cebu🤔 as the saying goes "to know the place better, know it's history"

At first I thought the place was small and the displays were bleak. But when the staff gave us a little tour, i was amazed at the history of the relics and displays located here. All props to the lady who gave the tour. She was very warm, congenial, and extremely knowledgeable. Because of her, i'd say go to Museo Iloilo if you want to see our history. But take her tour if you want a touch of history.

Has a really long way to go in terms of selection especially since it's one of the primary museums of a culture centric and booming city center. I'm really excited though for the adjacent decommissioned jail to be completed which I expect to replace the current museum. Should you choose to look for a museum in Iloilo, ILOMOCA would be a better choice if you had a limited amount of time. Despite this, it was good to see the history and artifacts of Iloilo in this area and it still gives value to the history of the city.

There are actually two (2) museums. This is the original one, and right next to it is the re-converted jail that is now a National Museum.

You should visit this museum and you'll surely learn a lot about Iloilo's rich history. The museum guide reminds me so much of the late late Sen. Miriam especially when she speaks Tagalog.

Though it's relatively small, it's quite informative on the Ilonggo's history and culture. Entrance fee is Php50 for adult and Php20 for students. Located along the hi-way, you won't have a hard time looking for the place.

Museo Iloilo will leave you a good impression of the richness of Iloilo History. They have a good number of collections ranging from visual arts produced by local artists, prehistoric artifacfs, and religious relics. Guides are very good. The one assigned to us exhibits deep understanding of the local history. Very fluent too. I found out that he is just an intern from University of San Agustin. They collect a minimal fee of 50 pesos. Affordable considering the amount of knowledge you will acquire from your visit. I just noticed that the museum is not really keen on maintaining the collections. There are collections that are not well protected and some are already collecting dusts.

100 PHP entrance. The museum shows some of Iloilo's history. It's a bit smallish, though, and part of the space is taken up by paintings that are for sale and have nothing to do with the exhibition.

It's a nice place. There were nice art and historival artifacts. I also especially like the fact that they support the local artists and give them exposure through museum exhibit. Aside from thaf, the tour guides educated us about the history of the city and we were able to appreciate the information they shared. They were also friendly and we got to share a little about our place as well.

The museum is absolutely amazing! It's like stepping into a time machine and witnessing the rich history of Iloilo right before your eyes. The ambiance and surroundings add to the whole experience, making it even more memorable. I'm definitely planning on revisiting in the near future to soak up more of this historical treasure.

Not sure if it should be called a museum or more of an exhibition area. It's the size of basketball court. Very basic but did it's job of showing some local art.

Museo Iloilo, located in front of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, is a cultural museum maintained and curated by the Iloilo Cultural Research Foundation, Inc. It is along Bonifacio Drive and is easily accessible by public transport. The museum may not be occupying large land area but its collection is extraordinary from religious antiques to WW2 artifacts during Japanese occupation of the land to pre-colonial life. It also supports their local artists by providing them safe space to display their own works in the museum. It has an entrance fee which would cost about P50 or US$1 only per head.

The museum houses an impressive collection of Iloilo's cultural heritage which includes stone age native pottery, fossils, jewelry, burial sites, trade pottery, and more. It is the first government-sponsored museum in the Philippines outside of Metro Manila. The entry fee is rather affordable but I recommend you taking your time to really view everything inside the museum and appreciate the articfacts.
