One of the things you should not miss when visiting iloilo city. Good to know a bit of history while sipping their delicious chocolate. During our visit, we were able to refill multiple times cause of the good harvest according to ms. Camiña-Avanceña.

A house musuem with a lot of stories to tell plus delectable Ilonggo food fresh from the farm and market. Its a best way to experience a life of an Ilonggo Illustrado. Entrance Fee is Php 150 which includes Tsokolate. Buffet is Php 500/head minimum of 10 pax. Buffet must be scheduled ahead.

This restaurant gives you delicious traditional ilonggo cuisine. Everything is simple, nothing fancy, the way it should be. My favorites are: Milo Soup, inihaw na liempo, shrimp, and bangus. This resto is a must visit when in Iloilo ❤️

Batirol or traditional hot chocolate at a well maintained heritage house. There's a free one refill for every order of hot chocolates. Great for meetings and photo shoots, in my opinion.

This cultural attraction is located along Osmeña street in Arevalo, Iloilo City. It is an ancestral house that was well preserved across generations of families that lived in it. Guests are treated to a guided tour showcasing the different rooms that are filled with old photos, statues and antique furniture in this 19th century house. At the end of the tour, we were treated to traditional ilonggo delicacies of “pancit molo” (dumpling soup) and “tsokolate” (hot chocolate).

I love love love the tour <3 I wish these tours were promoted more to locals living here because if I knew, I would have come here years ago! We took the tour with pancit molo, chocolate espeso and biscuits. Lovely spots for your photographer friend/self and amazing history of the place for you history buffs out there. Let's promote the history and cultural sites of Iloilo more! We should appreciate and care about the historical landmarks of the Philippines 🇵🇭 Highly recommend! Visit at least once in your life places like these to look into the past and learn for the future.

Awesome old house cum museum that serves super delicious native chocolate & tasty biscuits/pastries. They also offer buffets, reservation & goods for sale. A must visit but better to call or reserve prior to visit as this is a popular place.

The house itself was beautiful although the interior was too cluttered for my taste. It can also be used for private events that's why there was a buffet table set up. The free tsokolate (bottomless) and biscuits was a treat though. I loved it!

Those who are into old things, you should visit the place coz it's full of creepy things(just kidding😉). Although the chocolate is more of a sauce/dip than a drink to me because it is really concentrated, it was still worth the try. They'll give a little history of the place and a free tour around the house plus free biscuits to pair with the chocolate. All in all, it was all worth our time and effort. Even the baby we're with was happy 😊

This place is so worth it! 158-year-old house and a living museum! Owners are still living in the house. The story of this place is amazing! The tsokolate was soooo good! Thick and creamy! Unli refill! Served with biscuits. The food is included in entrance fee. 🤗

The house was restored beautifully and is home to maby antiques and rich history. May shop sa baba if you want to buy their famous tsokolate and snacks. The tsokolate was amazing and a must when you visit Iloilo. We also met the owner there and she was so nice. There was a short video played before we started the tour to explain the history of the house. There was also a tour guide that explained the different parts of the house. This was definitely a great experience.

If you like exploring ancestral homes and enjoying local delicacy, then this should be in your list if ever you visit the province of Iloilo. People can walk-in to enjoy a guided tour of the ancestral home. The Php 180 fee (~$3, as of August 2023) includes unlimited hot chocolate drink and homemade biscuits that you enjoy by the former living area of the house at the end of the 10-minute tour. They also serve Pancit Molo (famous delicacy in Iloilo) but you have to reserve a day before your visit since the dish is prepared fresh and only for those who reserved in advance. The hot chocolate is superb in taste, thick and not too sweet. Dipping the biscuits in the hot chocolate is truly divine. For PWD, there is another area where you can enter since getting into the upper floor of the house means climbing a steep staircase. You can buy the homemade biscuits at Php 40 a pack (less than $1). You can choose between the buttery biscuits and the more savory option.

A very nice ancestral house in Iloilo! You will be welcomed by their shop upon entrance where you can buy tablea and other souveneir items. You have the option to just shop or do the heritage tour. We availed the heritage tour for 150 PHP per person inclusive of a batirol (hot chocolate) which you could request for a refill as much as you like. The tour is not as informational as I expected aside from the vudeo played at the start. Still, I enjoyed the amazing pieces of things inside the ancestral house. The hot chocolate experience is a very relaxing experience. The biscuits complement the hot chocolate which tastes so good! Purchasing a tablea is a must when visiting this place!

It's the place to be of you're a history buff, or simply want to see the architecture, interior design was a the time of our ancestors. If not for that, then visit for the sake of the fabulous chocolate eh that comes with the affordable tour fee and the Instagramable place. The staff are very hospitable, you are immediately welcomed. We had the pleasure of having a quick Tet a Tet with Mam Lut Avancena a 4th generation of the clan, and she exudes the warmth and grace of the place. My family and I enjoyed our visit very much!

Going to the Camiña Balay nga Bato is like taking a step back in time. It is a well preserved ilustrado abode built on the success of the textile business across many generations of the family. With a minimum group size of 18, the establishment will set up a buffet at a reasonable price per head. The buffet boasts of many authentic and very delicious Ilonggo dishes - the best molo soup I have ever had, taro runner, grilled pork, ratotoy (local version of ratattouille) , empanada de kaliskis, fresh seafood, fresh lumpiang ubod. It was a one of a kind gastronomic and cultural experience. The store sells the best Ilonggo snacks.

A good place to visit with a lot of historic pieces at almost every corner of the house. The most interesting feature is the wooden stairs that is really steep. Need a lot of furniture rearranging and upkeep.

Worth it ang 170 pesos paid sa entrance. Unli tablea hot choco and you can spend the entire afternoon chilling with your friends. Before you enter, they will let you watch a five minute recorded video of one of the owners sharing about the place's history. On the way up, someone will share info with you as well.

Small parking area so its best if you reserve in advance and you can also reserve for your table and meals. Otherwise its just going to be pancit molo and bottomless tablea (with some bread sticks). Choco Tablea is the best though. Tour itself is so-so, they let you watch some videos about the history of the house. They have tour guides but if you don't schedule in advance, coordination will not be the best.

Very welcoming staff, the hot choco was really good as well, a must visit place when you are in Iloilo

They served delicious food. Souvenirs and antiques are also available. Sweets like homemade dark chocolate is pretty delicious.

Went here for the "tour." Fee comes with chocolate and biscuits, but I think you need to reserve first? Price is a little steep but if you're nosy (like me) and intrigued by heritage stuff, it's a nice place to visit.

The tour was okay. I wish there's a REAL TOUR with y Tour guide. We only watched historical video done by Rappler. Someone was just taking us to the first floor and second floor. No additional information. Quite boring for me. The hot choco was good tasting paired with biscuits. The house was well kept. Would love to try their lunch. I think you need to make reservations to eat lunch there.

The house offers lunch but you need to reserve a day ahead. The only food option to walk-in tourists is Spanish era style hot chocolate, served thrice.

Taste the century-old chocolate recipe which was handed down from generation to generation matched with locally produced pastries or bread. See the status symbol of one's wealth through it's structures

For a fee, you get to tour the heritage house and get a classic hot chocolate drink "tsokolate de batirol". You need an advance reservation if you want the pancit molo soup too.

They offer lunch or dinner buffet for a minimum of 18 persons for P500++ the serve home cooked meals and Ilongo specialties. You can also visit in between meals for the tour and of course try Filipino Madelines and biscuits dipped in chocolate e batirol (thick chocolate drink). The chocolate can be refilled up to 2x
