Negros Museum is a must visit when you're in Bacolod. It’s located at the heart of the city where malls and government offices are found. Very accessible and the entrance fees are pretty cheap. Here, you can learn about the rich history of Negros, the struggles the Negrenses experienced from the hands of colonizers and more about the sugarcane industry.

Nice museum! I had the chance to visit the Negros museum last year when I visited Bacolod City for a business meeting. Everyone can know and understand the history of Bacolod City and the Province of Negros Occidental by looking at the pictures and paintings inside the museum. There is also fun activities for students gling to the museum. Students will surely enjoy the activities.

If you are an artist, then you would appreciate this place, because displays are all art works.

There is a disappointing impression after visiting this Museum. The very poor historical part just a few documents not really a presentation of the past of Bacolod. A great pity for a city of almost 600000 inhabitants. Fortunately the presentation of some artworks is better. An improvement is needed. In front of the Museum however a master artwork so beautiful. Just pass by

Waste of 100 peso. Its an art gallery. Photos of churches don't even have dates when built.

The museums interior design is indeed wonderful and majestic. The pieces are arranged organizedly and interestingly. It features modern arts as well as a reflection of their history throught the exhibited paintings. But, the exhibition is only limited compared to other museum.

The entrance fee is 100 pesos per person. Located near the Capital Site and 888 mall. The building is nice but there is not much to see. The whole tour can be done in 10 minutes on 2 floors. Need more thought and work to make it interesting. The place was not busy at all.

A university-based museum which showcases a variety of exhibits both from local and foriegn artist. Exhibits may range from social, cultural, religious, political and everything in between. Conveniently located beside the university coliseum l, you can't miss it.

(Translated by Google) Very small museum, admission is 100 pesos. Although air conditioners are available, fans are used. It is warm in all rooms. Mainly pictures are exhibited, nothing special. The museum is about 150 meters from the Ayala Mall. (Original) Sehr kleines Museum, der Eintritt beträgt 100 Peso. Obwohl Klimaanlagen vorhanden sind , sind Ventilatoren eingesetzt. The place is clean and most of all is the Comfort Rooms. Besides, they need to put more fans to minimize heat inside the coliseum while being crowded.

Repainted the façade but they didn't do a good job of keeping the Museum Cafe in a good state. Always liked their unique food and seasonal menu so its kinda sad to see it in that state 😥

This is probably one of the museums I really like. The arrangement of the artifacts are creatively thought of. The place is well lit and ventilated. You can take pictures (without flash though) . When I went to the museum, it was already closing time like 5:30 but when they asked me asked me where I came from and I told them that i am from Bicol, they let me in still. I am really thankful because of that. So I went around the museum a bit quickly. It was nice and the pieces where really old already. I was only able to see the ground floor because the second floor was under renovation then.

There was a fieldtrip on going when we visited the Museum. It was last November 2019.

  • 5/5 Robert D. 4 years ago on Google
We were so lucky enough to visit the museum on their opening day after the renovation. They were featuring the works of Paeng Paderna and Lisa de Leon-Zayco in their exhibit entitled Bao Bao the unbowed Carabao. We were guided into the exhibit and were much impressed with the renovation and display. We were even lucky enough to meet the artists and talk to them about their works. It was great day!

Beautifully curated, with theatre performances that will move you. Watch out for AMON BANWA, an adaptation of Thornton Wilder's OUR TOWN set in an old town in Negros...
