A big and attractive cathedral from outside. I never saw the church was open. I think its interesting to see itz one time from inside. But outside a lot of cars and bike parking. You will see from outside of the church is very old because of the color, but the beautifulness of the church never disappeared.

💢NEVER BEFORE SEEN PHOTOS OF THE HISTORIC MOLO CHURCH💢 History is one thing to know, but this is almost experiencing first hand the history of this famous landmark. From inside views of the achitecture to the WWII bullet holes and dates molded on the 200 year-old tower bells, you can now know and better appreciate this surviving structure in Historic Molo!

The Gothic-Renaissance church of Molo is an imposing structure right in front of the plaza, built in 1869 from sandstone and coral rock, bound together by stucco, a mixture of egg whites and mortar. The church is dedicated to St. Anne and uniquely features 16 life-size female saints.

Dome is always part of many old churches in the world. Look at the dome in this church, it's like the dome of the St. Peters Basilica in Vatican City. By the way, this church survived from different calamities because of its sturdy structure. Also, it served as an evacuation center for the civilians during World War II. In 1992, the National Historical Institute declared it as a National Landmark. 07/2013

The only Gothic designed church outside Manila. Also know as the Feminist Church, you can find Statues of female saints inside along the pillar up to the Altar. It has a beautiful dome with mural. Located just near the Molo plaza.

A popular tourist destination. The Molo Church or the St. Anne Parish Church is a Neo Gothic Church built in 1831. It is known as a feminist church owing to the 16 female saints found on the columns of the church. National Hero, Jose Rizal, visited the church in 1886 on his way to Manila from Dapitan. Tourists can freely visit the church everyday as long as there are no church service. Guest can access the church by the left side entrance.

Molo Church and Molo Plaza should not be missed when visiting Iloilo. The place is nice to visit at night, and don't forget to visit the Molo Mansion across the street and grab some foods at series of small cafe to choose.

Visited on a Sunday, and there were plenty of church goers. I didn’t have the chance to take a peek inside but the exterior facade itself, was enormous, beautiful and captivating.

The solemn church in the urban area of Iloilo, after entering, the elegant and gorgeous decoration deeply attracted the people. The paintings on the wall let people know the story of Jesus. This is one of the must-see attractions in Iloilo.🔅

Molo Church, also known as Saint Anne Parish Church, is a neogothic Roman Catholic church located in the district of Molo in Iloilo City, Iloilo, in the Philippines. The church opened in 1888 and based off of Gothic Revival architecture. This church is located right infront of Molo Mansion (originally known as the Lacson-Yusay Mansion, and now popularly known as the Molo Mansion), a heritage house located in the district of Molo. The open courtyard has plenty of seats to relax and enjoy to view. This area is generally safe and offers plenty of transportation to get to it. It's highly recommended you take a Jeep to this area (should be only 10-12 Peso)

Now managed by the national historical commission of the government. A good note from Wikipedia. And I qoute, The overall style of the church can be viewed as neoclassical with the unembellished front facade. Dividing the front facade plane are four sets of Tuscan pilasters. The central division contains the main entrance while the end divisions contain two niches accommodating the Blessed Virgin and Sacred Heart of Jesus icons. Three stained glass windows puncture the facade of the upper level. This fenestration indicates a choir loft located inside. The side windows are capped with crests of the Pope (on the left) and the Augustinians (on the right). On the uppermost part of the front facade is a niche which contains a statue of St. Barbara. The convent resembles Moorish architecture. In 1991, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines declared Santa Barbara Church and Convent as a National Landmark. The church was the site where General Martin Delgado of the Visayan Revolutionary Government started the junta that resulted to the first Cry of Revolution against the Spaniards outside Luzon.[2][3] It was also used as the general headquarters and military hospital of the revolutionary forces. The National Museum declared Santa Barbara Church as a national cultural treasure in 2013. A historical marker was unveiled in December 2015.

Molo Church is one of the oldest Church in Iloilo and has a magnificent Gothic and Romanesque architecture. Also, there are several Masses on Sundays, both in English and the Ilonggo dialect, which can fulfill a Catholic's Sunday obligation.

One of the most beautiful churches I've seen in the Philippines. It's not only scenic on the outside but also inside. It was built on the 19th century during the Spanish Colonization here in the Philippines. I can say its structure is somewhat similar to Jaro Cathedral, also in Iloilo, San Jose Church in Iloilo City too, and Sto. Nino la milagroso Church in Sinait, Ilocos Norte. But what makes this church more majestic is that it has retained its original appearance of walls rather than painted. Jaro also has its original lime stone walls but Molo church is sure wonderful. I highly recommend it to travelers planning to visit Iloilo.
