As of July 11, 2023 • The place has improved to be designed as an aesthetic hawaiian like result • Great food quality (depending on the price) • Although there are some orders that came late, their food servings are still deliciously made • Would recommend for those who are new to the area and be able to enjoy especially on the seafood specialty

We visited this place and took our lunch during today's birthday of my wife. My parent-in-law brought us here because the foods served here such as fish, blue marlins, etc., are all fresh. Based on our experienced, I can say that their seafood is indeed delicious and awesome. Their customer service from parking area to the inside of the restaurant is very welcoming and accommodating. We really appreciate it. We will definitely return to this place soon.

Truly a gastronomic experience you should not miss when in Bacolod. I really liked the Grilled scallops - big, juicy and fresh. I haven’t tasted anything like it before. We also liked the tinolang Lapu-Lapu very much!

As fresh as they can be! Fresh seafood anyone? So far the food is really good. Would have given it 4 stars if the entire place was air conditioned because it can get really hot inside during the day and even on busy nights. Also, we asked for an additional drink (even asked the waiters more than once) and was never served good thing it was not on the bill. But aside from all that you should really try this place, it was recommended by a friend and I never regretted trying, I really enjoyed the food. Perfect for family and friends and for tourists. For see food lovers out there, this is a must try!

After 2 years finally got crossed the borders of Negros Occidental way to Bacolod. I never missed to eat at Diotay' Eatery, never missed! I was amazed by the choices of food, my lobster na... and more spacious. Decors are instagrammable...Kudos to Diotay's Eatery.

Food is so fresh and delicious! Cook must have mastered the way to prepare these seafood. Service is fair as I had to follow up my mango shake for like 30 mins before it was served. The customers (in groups) who went in after us got their drinks first which was kinda weird. Nevertheless, its a must try in Bacolod!

Incredible seafood! You get to pick your desired amount (in kg) from a wide range of fresh seafood (like shrimp, fish, scallops, squid, lobster, etc), choose the way you want it cooked, and wait for it to be brought to your table. The lobster in chili sauce is a must try! Prices are more than fair. We paid less than 1000 peso for 250g of scallops, shrimp and squid each, plus one mid sized lobster, one beer and one coke. We're definitely gonna be back

I'd like to say seafood galore but they serve what they have on hand. (Like in pic) But nontheless whatever you choose you can request how you like it cooked.

Seafood dining at its finest without any pretentions! This is a must try place when you are in Bacolod. To order, one must go in front of their restaurant where an array of fish, shrimps, clams, and squid are displayed on ice. A front-line kitchen staff will take your order based on the seafood that you are pointing at (however, they will only cook it based on how they know it and by how most customers would usually want it, but this is where you have to trust them because the end result is delicious!), and how many orders per seafood. You then go back to your table, and tell the additional orders (rice, drinks) to the waiters roaming around the restaurant. The place is mostly packed with customers especially on peak hours, and has both an air-conditioned area/open area. They also have a tendency to forget your orders/requests when a continuous flow of people come in to eat. A little patience can go a long way as a customer when you encounter it at this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Im from Manila, and frequent Dampa. I eat in a lot of great places. If you had time to eat in only 1 place in Bacolod, I would say it should be here. Deliciously cooked fresh seafood, safe ambiance (Im a girl and I ate alone), respectful and excellent waitstaff.

I love the food. This place serves one of the best sea food menu here in Bacolod. You can eat alone or with family and friends. Recently, I enjoyed eating alone as I get to cherish every bite of the buttered garlic shrimp, grilled scallops and sizzling squid. The place isn't too expensive and this is a lot cheaper compared to other sea food restaurants here. The service is excellent and the staff are always ready to address your requests. One thing to consider, though, is the date or time you'll be visiting. Avoid rush hours usually between 5:00 to 7:00 PM and during lunch time. The place gets pretty crowded and you have to wait for available table and seats. This place is a must-try of Bacolod. I highly recommend this place to foreigners and those visiting from other provinces.

The seafood is fresh and reasonably priced. I like that there's a waiter ready to assist me but it could be because I came on a downtime hour. It's best to request that seafood be cooked simply, without sugar.

One of the best restaurants in Bacolod City, offering fresh seafoods for paluto. Just choose the seafoods you want and tell them how you want it to be cooked. You have the option to choose between open air and airconditioned dining areas. Just add 10% of the total bill for the airconditioned one. We had our lunch here awhile ago and had Buttered Shrimp and Sinabawang Isda. Too bad, they don't have scallops today. Orders arrived in short period of time. Serving was generous, which is good for sharing. I love the buttered shrimp. The shrimp was not overcooked and the flavor of the dish was just right. The sinabawang isda comes with unlimited refilling of the soup, which I really like. Overall, it was a great dining experience. The staff were extremely lively, friendly and attentive. The usual Bacolodnon way of serving customers. Saludo! The place is wide. According to my mom, they expanded their area to cater more customers. Indeed, it is one of Bacolod's finest.

One of the best seafood places in the city! Diotay's make you feel that home-y feeling. Upon entering, you can choose any seafood from there fresh station, which means everything you will eat will be cooked as soon as you order it. Prices depend by the gram but honestly, it is relatively affordable. Of course, the food is divine! The sizzling manumbok is a must order along with scallops, calamares, and buttered garlic shrimp. You can ask for additional garlic butter sauce if you want—it's best when drizzled over warm rice! Crew services is fast as well as the serving of the food. Will always go back here for seafood cravings!

My second time here. The food serves good and delicious though it's kinda expensive. They are still open even at late night kasi yung iba 8-9pm pa lang sarado na. And it is accessible and organized esp. sa parking. Good job Diotay!

Outstanding tasty seafood at a very fair price. One of my favorite spots in bacolod. The selection of seafood is pretty broad ( fish, octopus, squid, shrimp, lobster, crab, and more). They have multiple different ways it can be prepared. I've been there dozens of times, never disappointed. Not fancy, but sure is fun place to go.

One of the rare places that hit the trifactor of good price, great service and tasty food. The meat was a little bit overcooked but acceptable nonetheless considering the price. One unfortunate thing is they don't have any other menu except seafood and some meat choices. I'll like to have some accompanying vegetables. They don't have a menu, just go and pick a few items and they will cook it the way you want.

It's big, but too stuffy. It's hot inside the dining area, even though there are electric fans. Maybe because the roof is low. They do have an airconditioned room on a reservation basis and for a large group. Anyhow, food tastes good. Seafood selection is wide. However, it's better to come for lunch or early dinner, coz some of the seafood gets sold out easily. Servers wait on their assigned table or group of tables so its easier to make requests, like additional cutlery, water, or extra orders. This place is also popular, so there could be long queueing during peaktime.

Grilled fish was not fresh, burnt outside but still slightly frozen in the middle. Nothing special in the way our food was cooked. Chili garlic shrimp was more sweet than spicy. Place was colorful though.

Super ka namit! I usually steer far from seafood "dampa" places because, from my past experiences, these sort of places tend to milk you for your cash. But Diotay's Eatery is far from it! To start, the owner, Mr. Diotay himself, is very hands-on as he mans the front of the dampa where you choose from a wide variety of seafood - and if you're lucky, lavish in the seasonal seafood too! The prices are very very reasonable unlike other dampa places I've eaten at, and if you are unsure as what to get and how much of it, Mr. Diotay will personally recommend dishes for you to taste at servings and prices that's budget-friendly. On to the food: speechless. The cooks skillfully conjure up local dishes that can only be described as heavenly. Your money is worth it here at Diotay's Eatery. 5/5.

Excellent food, surprisingly good blend of flavors. The garlic and butter shrimp was buttery, not overly sweet. The marlin steak was outstanding with the soy garlic flavor, difinitely an eye opener. Would love to try the other seafood some other time, this requires a revisit.

It's just the same old menu... The soup is salty, how is it any different from other diners that offers the same entrees is weird. Buttered shrimp, calamares, tinola, scallops... Those are everywhere.

  • 5/5 Joseff B. 3 years ago on Google
We ordered calamares and tinola isda. It was amazing. Just ask the butcher what part or what kind of fish good for a tinola, or prito, or sugba. Whatever you like. They have all kinds of seafood.

Point-to-cook seafood is best! They have a wide-array of choices of seafood to choose from. Crab and squid are to die for. For three people with three viands, 1500 is more than enough. Be sure to wear colored shirts to avoid stain while eating. They have available wash area for your hands, as these viands are best eaten with hands. You can bring your own disposable hand gloves if you want to do away with washing. The place offers a regular and an airconditioned room. AC enabled room just cost you 10% additional. Crew members are attentive to customers' needs and would offer to change plates when they see you need one. All in all, great dining experience here. Hope you get to drop by when you get a chance to visit Bacolod.
