Need to trek for 30min depending on your pace & stamina. Bring extra shirt, surely you'll drip a lot of your fats. Better to have a hiking shoes and swimming gears if you like to dip into a cold pond below the falls. Trail slope as steep as 70deg. at more or less 400m.

this is my son's first trekking experience and he loved it!!! you will surely get in touch with nature and the water fall is amazing! just ready yourself with its extremely cold breeze for you will tempted to take a dive :) the road downhill is enjoyable but going back uphill is extremely horrendous.

We made a stopover to see the falls. We brought our coffee with us and hung out here a bit. It didn't have chairs for lounging but it was still nice. The air was cool and the people were friendly. They were selling plants and got myself a couple of herbs for my garden.

From San Carlos City on our way to Bacolod, we dropped by this nice, native, and simply instagramable picturesque cafe. the Ridges Cafe where you view the cool and greener mountain views.

It's like a simple shed but the view is beautiful! You pay P5 per person and register. There are people right outside selling potted herbs, spices, decorative plants and fruit trees. You can also get a guide there if you want to hike down to the waterfalls (as of Jan 2019, P300 for a group - max of 9pax; trek takes 30 minutes minimum, up to 2 hours or more depending on fitness level).

The falls is best viewed from this deck. Great for selfies too! A P5 fee will be charged for use of the deck. Don't expect a fancy viewing deck but this stop serves its purpose. It's a bit small so I hope it's not crowded when you drop by.

You will be able to see great views during the trek to the falls. It is recommended to bring snacks and plenty of water as the trek is quiet challenging. Going down to the falls takes around 30 minutes as per locals but it depends with the pace of your group

A trek to paradise. One of the best waterfall I visited. Two thumbs up👍👍 You just need lots and lots of energy and air and water and all 😂 its a 45mins -1hour trek from the road. Slippery especially when it rained the previous day. Best time to visit is in the morning. While you trek going to the falls you'll see lots of scenic views. Bring your camera 📷 its really worth it.

Aka “Cigarette Falls” due to its appearance from afar. Just looking at it after an hour of travel from Bacolod made your stress relieved. You’ll see its beauty from the view deck (or lantawan to locals) near the roadside. This is another favorite stopover for tourists especially who loves photo op. There are some vendors there selling chichiria like banana chips, taro chips, chicharon and cornik. Below the viewing deck is the entrance down to a long trek to the falls. You need to register and hire a guide to get there. The trek usually takes an hour. Sadly, we didn’t have much time to go there. Well, the stopover still worth it for us, first-timers.

Such lovely weather and a great view of the falls. You need to pay 5 pesos per head to enjoy the scenery, per tour guide, it might take 45 minutes to 1 hour to the falls. They have a variety of root crop chips as well, an affordable and delicious treats!

In this place you can view the Valley and Mountain, also the said falls.

The going to the fall, is the easy part. The going back to the drop site is the hard part. Well, at least for a chubby and non sporty guy like me. However, the best part is when you are in front of the falls! I love this place!

When I first saw the falls, I felt proud of being a Filipino. The falls complements the great mountains behind it. As the weather in Don Salvador Benedicto is cool and refreshing, the joy in savoring the view is totally exquisite. I hope locals will still continue preserving the location. There are also people selling fried banana chips around this deck. Buy some and remember not to litter the plastics which the food are contained in.

    Very nice vantage point.

The views are nice from here but please do yourself a favor and visit the actual falls by foot. Hire a guide if you are scared or do like I did and go alone at your own pace. I have to say this is a bucket list type of visit if you are visiting any part of negros island. I am so amazed at this creation by our father!

    Refreshing View. Parking is difficult.

  • 5/5 Dustin B. 4 years ago on Google
The hike there is just as good as the falls. It’s not super difficult but it’s tiring on a hot day. But jumping in the water at the falls was worth it.

  • 5/5 Phil V. 4 years ago on Google
The view on the waterfall was so awesome and all the hills are covered fully green, which is the part of nature.

  • 2/5 Jason J. 4 years ago on Google
Great view and great for Filipino but tourists Don't go there, they charge you 3x the actual cost, it isn't ₱5 or a token amount either, not much change from ₱500. It is not worth it, just stop at a cafe nearby and have a drink enjoying the view for free.

Great view, the roof of the shed is a bit small thus leaving us wet after a short rain passed by. Also it would be better if you can provide rental umbrellas/caps/rain coat for those who would like to trek down from the deck to the actual falls.
