The only great thing about them is location. No toothbrush and toothpaste provided nor complimentary water. Only one pillow was provided. No slippers. But hot water was working so that's good. And i really loved the studio cafe despite being too pricey that's all. Overall, i won't return

When I inquired on the phone for the rates it was only 2900 for deluxe room. When I checked-in the rate started to raise up to 4500 per night. So I ended up paying 9k plus for 2 nights. But the room was incomplete of stuff expected of a hotel like toothpaste, toothbrush and slippers. When I asked the front desk the reply was demand based. Seriously? I am clearly not happy staying in this hotel so I requested to cancel my stay for the 2nd night but they still need to ask the management. Also, I kept calling 0 for customers service but got no reply. Poor service. Clearly the price is not commensurate with their service. Not recommended if you want a hassle free and stress free stay.

Where do I start? 1. Dead cockroach in between mini fridge and bedside table 2. Jumping spider on the bed sheets 3. Messed up our room, downgraded us from Deluxe with 2 queen beds to a room with just one king size bed. 4. Said we don't get free breakfast on our booking when we paid extra for it! Had to send them our copy of our itinerary because they wouldn't believe us and said it "wasn't showing on their system". 5. Made us pay extra when we asked for extra pillow. The audacity! When we could've had our originally booked room with two beds and 2 pillows on each bed, rather than the room they gave us with a king bed and two pillows! 6. The pool is not to be used if you didn't pay for it! It's not inclusive, it's an extra fee of Php 200 per head. They will come at you and ask you every time you go in the pool and ask for your room number, making sure you paid to swim! ONLY GOOD THING in the building is the spa. Not sure if it's affiliated with the hotel but the staff there and their service was great!

Heres some things you need to know: They only provide 2 pillows for a king sized bed and you have to pay a daily charge for extra ones. The towels are very old. My bathroom smelled of urine when I came in. The lobby smelled like a wet market. Rooms near the pool area are noisy in the evenings, there was a live band. 4 years ago they upheld higher standards, this may be the last time i stay here. Also, they charge hotel guests for pool and gym access, which I find a bit absurd because I am staying at one of their better rooms. The hotel staff are very nice and the location is excellent. Walking distance from a lot of stores and restaurants. The room did look better in person than in the pictures, but it seems management has let go of the place. Also most of the channels dont work.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and 5 days. We came on time to check in. But unfortunately room is not ready yet. Until pass 4pm we still waited for 1 room to be ready. and when we have our room ready is not properly clean. For our breakfast which we know we book for both room with free breakfast but the front desk told us the other room are not included for free breakfast. So I have to pay additional for our breakfast since we are family we don't want to go somewhere for breakfast. So better call the hotel for confirmation of all your booking details. And also rooms has no refrigerator and you have to pay for the ice bucket every time you ask? plus you have to pay for your guest to go for swimming. Better I should search more hotel better than this one.

Cubicles are flooded each time you take shower due to unsuitably small floor drain outlets with a retro fitted shower cubicles and where water seeps through the bottom rail and the whole toilet floor becomes wet, all the time. Food selection is not much. Very basic breakfast with not much choices. Location is a good and nearby malls and 24/7 fast food outlets. Accessibility to public transport is good. Staff are friendly, helpful and polite with high standard of hospitality.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Avenue Suites Hotel! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and impeccably clean. The hotel's location is superb, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transportation. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. The breakfast spread was delicious, offering a wide variety of options to start the day right. I highly recommend Avenue Suites Hotel for a delightful and memorable experience. Can't wait to return!

Nice room for it's price. It's not at the center of downtown so it's quiet just as I like it. A lot of restos and fast food chains nearby so you don't have to worry where to go for your next meal. They also have a cafe/restaurant on the ground floor. Swimming pool and gym is available too. I think gym is open at 7AM to 7PM only. You have to book the gym before use. Unfortunately, since I was there for work and I'm not at the hotel during office hours, I wasn't able to use their gym and they only allow 1 person or 1 group (of friends) at a time. Book in Agoda for a cheaper price. Overall, it was a good stay.

We booked two rooms, unfortunately, the other room's AC was not functioning enough to cool the room. They insisted that the AC was okay. We've encountered first time here that we were charged of 2k per room. No dental kit available they said it is per request and there's only 1 pillow per person eventhough you paid extra for 1 person

Affordable rates but the rooms were basic. Didn't have the usual toiletries and slippers. They only provide one pillow per bed. Additional pillows at 50 pesos a day. Pool and gym access aren't included, it's 300 per person per day. Cable TV wasn't working. Had small roaches. Gym's AC wasn't working and doesn't have much equipment. Website photos made it seem so nice. Over all, this place needs to renovate and upgrade their amenities. Cafe and Restaurant at the ground floor has pricey but bland food. Dine there only for convenience. On the plus side, staff were all accommodating and friendly. Good location as it's near popular places.

The rooms are not maintained properly. They charge you so much but the housekeeping staff just keeps you waiting for the room cleaned even after several requests. They just take you for granted. I had requested the room cleaning at 9 am and then again at 10 and kept following and finally they did it and the housekeeping staff made sure to make you feel that they have done a favour on you. They charged me for breakfast. I am a vegetarian (have only plant based food) and they didn't have any option for that. They could have mentioned that atleast while we were doing the payments. The rooms ac are not proper, they have patches here and there which they cover by the curtains. Cockroach moving around. All together horrible experience. I let the officers at front desk know about this but they were very casual about it. The location of the hotel is the only positive about it.. Please be careful while booking

Customer service is a DISASTER. I just got a call from the front desk at 2 am, asking if we left the showers on. I didn’t mind at first, maybe they can monitor water usage for individual rooms. I know we didn’t leave it running but I still checked to see if maybe we turned it off wrongly. I ran back to respond and guess what, apparently Maintenance could hear the white noise playing in the room and made the very good decision to call us at 2 AM. They’re rain sounds. It was playing from a PHONE. Maybe if everyone stopped to think for a moment, they can discern if the shower was left running. The hotel rooms are not sound proof, apparently sounds coming from your phone can be heard outside. There are no complementary slippers and toiletries for the standard queen room. That should be fine but the customer service is awful. Who calls a room at 2 AM? What a disappointment. How does this hotel have a 4.0 rating? Oh but the front desk officer had a nice voice and was polite. I just didn’t appreciate getting a call at 2 am and awakened to the revelation that the rooms have paper thin walls!!

Please DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!! The name Avenue Suites is MISLEADING!! I booked the Grand Deluxe Room and as per the photos on their website and Agoda, the Grand Deluxe Room has 4 pillows which I very well know is the standard per room if a hotel categorizes itself as such. I would understand if the establishment was a PENSION HOUSE so 2 pillows will be acceptable. I called Front Desk to request for 2 more pillows and was informed that it was their standard of giving only 1 pillow per person because I later learned it was their business strategy. Give guests 2 pillows and if they request more, make them pay!! I requested to speak to the Supervisor, Duty Manager and finally the Manager to air out my concern but was told that none of them were available as it was already after 5pm. I downloaded photos of the Grand Deluxe room with 4 pillows just to show to them. I I insisted that there should be truth in advertising. Do not stage the rooms just to entice guests to book your hotel and make them pay extra when they check in. After my outburst, the FD agent sent me the 2 pillow for free after probably speaking to her manager. To make matters worse, last night Sunday, October 1 when I was already fast asleep, the phone rings at 10:07pm all because the Front Desk agent had the gall to call at such an ungodly hour to tell me that when Housekeeping was cleaning the room earlier during the day, he/she found out there was only one teaspoon and the other one was missing!! Does Avenue Suites EVEN TRAINE THEIR STAFF TO CALL GUESTS AT SUCH AS UNGODLY HOUR TO INFORM THEM THAT A TEASPOON WAS MISSING IN THE ROOM??? Could she not wait the next morning to tell me since check out was 12noon??? This hotel is disgusting and dirty!!! The grout on the tiles are terrible clearly showing terrible signs of disrepair, the glass separating the shower area and the toilet bowl has too many water marks they need to replace it with a new one as no amount of cleaning can remove the water marks. The granite counter top of the lavatory is dull and full of water marks. The rain shower is spewing water in all directions! To the Manager, Duty Manager or Supervisor to believe me and validate my rants and review, please find time to check ROOM 503 and you will know. Fair warning check in at your own risk. This hotel is dirty and staff especially the Front Desk staff have no sensitivity to time and your concerns as they do not mind calling you at 10PM just to let you know that that a teaspoon was missing!!! DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTING NEVER AGAIN.

I book a superior deluxe for my mom, my daughter 14 & my niece age 7 and they charge Php800.00 for extra person as the room is only for couples or 2 persons only. My niece is only 7 but they consider her as an adult just to charge extra. The rooms don't have anything like slippers, coffee, water and other usual complimentaries seen in other hotels. Not recommended to stay.

It was a very bad choice to stay in this hotel. Right after the typhoon ODETTE me and my team was asked by my client to look for a place to stay so we can continue working. Imagined this hotel charges us 1k per day for electricity because we have our laptop and desktop. Not only that. They never even inform us prior. What if their guest cannot afford with those charges? Me myself stayed longer because the electricity in my place took so long to to connect again the electricity. I stayed like almost 7 days and on Christmas eve i went home to celebrate xmas with my family i leave my room empty and and went back before my check out day. Guess what happened. When i came back i cannot access the key card i have and when they gave me the access they just inform me that they make up the room and guess what? My stuff is inside the plastic bag. Wth! I am still paid not even my check out time but i felt like abandoned or evicted in my own room which is already paid. Very worst experience i had in my entire life. I’ve been in to 5 stars 3 stars or even cheap hotels but i never treated this way like this hotel treated me. They never even deserve 1 star if i could choose zero i will have to do it!!!! Don’t even try to stay here because you will surprise with all the hidden charges they will post in your bill.

The location is accessible to the city but when it comes to the hotel , I am sorry but expection versus reality was worst. There's an additional amount added when you pay and nothing inside the room for free, no shampoo, no toothbrush, only small size soap. If you need water you need to go out of your room and get some from their water dispenser near the elevator area. ( They only provide empty pitcher and glasses) My first time to experience this kind of service. You pay for your room but even a small water bottle cannot compliment costumers. The couch in their receiving area need to be replaced, its worn out already. It's up to you when you want this experience.

Please Read This Before Booking or Staying This Hotel!! πŸ‘Ž I had an incredibly disappointing stay at Avenue Suites Hotel Bacolod, and I feel compelled to share my unfortunate experience with fellow travelers. The level of service provided by this hotel was shockingly bad, leaving me with a bitter taste and a desire to warn others. Upon check-in, we were informed that a substantial 2,000 pesos security deposit was mandatory. This demand seemed excessive and creating an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere right from the start. It made me question the hotel's integrity and wonder if this was just a ploy to extract more money from guests. To make matters worse, we were charged for a missing hand towel during our stay. The absurdity of this accusation became apparent when we realized that there was no hand towel in the room when we first entered. It's both frustrating and absurd that the hotel would resort to such questionable tactics to squeeze additional charges from guests. Sadly, our experience is not unique, as I discovered similar complaints from other guests in various reviews. It raises serious concerns about the hotel's management and whether this is an intentional modus operandi. If such issues are widespread, one must question why the hotel management allows or even encourages such practices. I strongly advise against booking or staying at Avenue Suites Hotel Bacolod. There are plenty of other accommodation options in the area that offer better service and transparency. I sincerely hope this review reaches the attention of the owner or management, urging them to rectify these unethical practices. Guests deserve an honest and respectful experience, not one marred by hidden fees and questionable charges and parking inconveniences. To add: We booked for standard room with windows but they put us on economy room with now windows like WTH? πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

First things first, staffs are very accommodating and friendly. I like each and everyone's service. Room rates are very affordable. It was very comfy and clean not like other hotels. Location is very near to popular places. It is not hard to find. I would visit this hotel again someday!

  • 2/5 Bea A. 10 months ago on Google
My husband and I stayed here for a convention last April 2023. Indeed, the rates were affordable. However, the facilities and inclusions were really lacking. You need to pay for room slippers and additonal pillows. The toiletries were minimal, and we felt that they're being scarce towards their clients. I had to ask for new toilet rolls daily. I wash my hands a lot so I asked them to refill the hand soap since it was almost none already, and when they refilled the container, they just added around 1 cm more of hand soap inside the container (imagine: the container was 90% empty after refill). The room and CR per se looked old already so expect some dirt and marks of aging. I also saw some small cockroaches. You have to pay to use the pool and gym; and even if I was willing to pay for gym time, scheduling was an issue. I ended up not availing of the gym amenity out of frustration. Good thing they have a good location and their staff were really nice and courteous. But other than those, this hotel really needs an upgrade. So many areas of improvement.

Leaving today, and I'm sorry to say goodbye, but I assure you that I will be back. During my stay, I had everything I needed: a clean room, a fantastic swimming pool, reliable WiFi, and a friendly staff. The prices were incredibly reasonable, and to top it off, they offered an American breakfast, which was a fantastic bonus in Bacolod.

  • 1/5 Proud I. 11 months ago on Google
The location of this hotel offers convenience, but not when you are staying and needed some basic stuff. Towels are old, you have to ask for toiletries as they only give 1 roll per room. TV and fridge is not working properly. I asked if they have an iron/ironing board and I was told that they charge P250/hour. The rates are cheap and the staff are freindly and accomodating. This hotel is only good for backpackers. Would not be coming back here. Not going to recommend to anyone.

Absolutely thrilled with my stay at Avenue Suites Hotel Bacolod! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and attentive staff who made me feel right at home. The room was not only impeccably clean but also tastefully designed, offering a comfortable and luxurious environment. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was truly impressive, from the well-maintained amenities to the delectable meals at their in-house restaurant. The picturesque view from my room added an extra touch of magic to my experience. What sets Avenue Suites Hotel Bacolod apart, though, is the exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to cater to my needs and ensure my stay was nothing short of perfect. Whether it was providing local recommendations or promptly addressing any requests, they consistently exceeded my expectations. The central location of the hotel was another highlight, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city's attractions and dining options. I can wholeheartedly say that my stay at Avenue Suites Hotel Bacolod was an unforgettable one, and I can't wait to return. If you're looking for a place that combines luxury, comfort, and outstanding service, this is the place to be

Pros: -Great location. Walking distance to Ayala Malls. Just outside the property is the main road where you can take public or private transport. Local restaurants, cafes and pasalubong shops are also walking distance. -Friendly and helpful staff. -Pool is never crowded even on a weekend. -Nice place to have a drink. -Good coffee shop. -It’s a corner building so there should be enough parking. Cons: -If you’re a light sleeper, you might have a hard time going to sleep since it’s on the main road and you can hear the people in the hallway. -You have to pay 250/person/day to use the pool. I booked via Agoda so it’s already included in the rate. -There was a mice in my room. I asked to be transferred to a different room and they did. They sincerely apologized. -No fridge. -No hair dryer. -No slippers. -No pool towel.

This hotel has insatiable appetite to squeeze every penny from you even with the pandemic and devastation of typhoon Odette. I was charged $100 via Agoda in November which will commence December 1 -3 , due to changing travel requirements I have called them directly to change the date, the staff named Rose advise me to call Agoda directly to save the $10 charge for changing the dates I asked her if she can accommodate the request because I am willing to pay but she insisted to call Agoda. I called Agoda and settle the dates for December 17-19 instead and so I thought I am free with $10, came the date of the booking since I am not ablle to fly on this date I offered it to a friend ... at first the hotel will not allow it without authorization and asked my friend to pay the one night for $76 and then will send the refund once authorization is received note that refund as per Avenue will take 7-10 BD, so I sent it to save my friend extra cost after all it has been charged to my CC. In the wake of the devastation - the hotel charged my friend for : 2 kids @ $16 per night , to use the pool is another $4 and other frivolous charges which amounted to $102. .. how empathetic ... please make sure to post in your website what can / cannot be charged in your hotel.

Spacious rooms, great breakfast in the cafe and superb location. The water in the toilet, sink, and shower was brown, and in many rooms the ac is very noice. They had to show me six rooms before they found a room with a new ac that was fairly silent.

Dirty bathroom, towels are very very old ,the bldg smells mold, Worst hotel in Bacolod. You will be charge for the use of the pool and Gym. The only good in this hotel are the staffs, they are very helpful. The staffs are nice and friendly too. Worst Worst hotel. The management don’t care about the guest. They only want your money. Because they don’t want to cancell my reservation. They don’t deserve any star. Good luck for the people who will stay in this rundown hotel.

We stay for three days . They wouldn't give our money back since we left a whole day earlier. There were no tooth brushes or toothpaste. AC was a window type and took forever to get cold. No small refrigerator. They only give you one key. Water pressure and hot water heater were excellent. The shower door sometimes would not stay close. Was onlt around 2.3k with a damage deposit also. At Toyoko Inn we got the same rate from way better quality. Very good location on Lacson

The room was fine, but only had one pillow per bed, and one of our rooms had roaches. Then, we paid for them to keep our luggage while we went on a trip, and one of the locks on our luggage was missing, along with some of our shirts. Apparently the supervisor was β€œout” that day, and they refuse to take any accountability. We did not receive a refund or our missing clothes back. If I could give them zero stars I would. They are thieves who protect thieves.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and the quality of service is absolutely great. Lucky I booked it straight from the hotel, we enjoyed the perks to use the pool for free, breakfast, even 10% spa discount. Rooms are clean and well sanitized free upgrade. Staffs are amazing. Kids enjoyed the pool while my husband and I had our relaxing massage at The Bacolod Spa. Must try their new packages, their Hot Stone massage and Sampompai Massage were two of the best massages. We consider Avenue Suites as our second home. Would highly recommend for staycation.

This hotel is a kleptotel that fleeces you in many ways. Firstly, they charge you high rates to use the pool even if you are a guest. Who does that? And they hid it in the fine print. They also secretly charged for an extra bed (the second bed) in a room that shows a photo of two beds! They even gave my son a towel when he was cold and coming out of the pool and charged for that. This type of thing is beyond cheap, its theft! Why not just give the bellboys arms and hold us all up in our rooms, its basically the same? The price of my hotel was more than doubled by all of these shenanigans. Especially bad because before the change of policy, we were good customers for years. The people who stay here are not rich, they are primarily decent families, OFWs, hard working, the heroes of the Philippines. They deserve better than this vile theft that calls itself lodging.

Clever hotel charging you extra for facilities (pool, gym), not clearly stated when booking. They even wait until after checking you in and handing you the room key to tell you the facilities cost extra and no refund. Receptionist was very rude even after seeing the lack of information on their booking site.

Great place to stay while in Bacolod City! We loved that our room was clean and comfortable. Also, Relaxing and at the same time thrilling! Hehehehe the huge glass window allowed us to see the pool area and to overlook the busy and colorful night streets. They also have a cafe / snack bar, and gym.

It was terrible stay we checked in with my gf to have a nice New Year, we get the poolside room, for 2999 peso. In the room the tv was not working, the cr not flashing,no hot shower, the pool and the pool area was not clean. The restaurant close at 7pm, no dinner there breakfast was very cheap. I would never recommend this hotel.
