A close encounter with the monkeys. What makes it special is that they are open to the public. Beware of your eye glasses/sun glasses, keys, or any tiny objects, they are usually fond of it and would grab it from you without you noticing it.

There's a natural waterfall that you can hike to. You can slide down the waterfall into the deep pool at the bottom.

It is so amazing that the local government protect these endemic monkeys in the area! :) I had a great trip, so exciting and educational. :)

We recently visited a monkey sanctuary and it was such a wonderful experience. The sanctuary is located in San Carlos, they have a natural green area and it was filled with different kinds of plants, and trees and you get to see the different types of monkeys with unique personalities. The staff there were so knowledgeable about the monkeys and they were very kind to them. It was amazing to see how the monkeys were living in a safe and natural environment. I learned so much about the different species of monkeys and how they interact with each other. It was a great reminder of how important it is to protect and preserve the natural habitats of all animals, including monkeys. Check out my Youtube @kennethcheatham videos

I've been to this place twice already, and it's really a great place to connect with the wild. Some monkeys are just a little bit aggressive, and if you want them to interact with you, I suggest you bring some food to give to them.

they are fun to watch , and if you wanna go there its better you bring some foods for them like fruits they will just come closer to you because they love to eat and don't worry they are not harmful although they will just cling to you because of the food πŸ˜…

Road going up is concrete but narrow. Cars can reach the place. One can have coffee at the place. Its good that there's a place for their protection as well as eco-tourism. Government should also provide veterinarians for them as food given to the monkeys are only rice and some have skin scratchings. Plus two donated monkeys are just being caged (small size cage) because they are not "accepted' by the pack of monkeys. Caretaker has no background on management of the monkeys...poor monkeys are used to gain income?
