This is a great little zoo! We really enjoyed our visit. The staff was also very helpful! Nice playground for the kids to run and stretch their legs.

Admission is super affordable. I love that the zoo is like a walk in the park. The monkeys were adorable and very interactive. You can feed the ducks which is behind the gift shop. The zoo doesn’t have a whole bunch of exotic animals at larger zoos but it’s still worth a trip. My family loved it.

Awesome time! What the zoo lacks in size makes up for with it's interactiveness with the animals and green environment. My daughter loved the waterfall with all the ducks and turtles. The possibility to feed the animals really made this experience superb! The ring tailed lemars were so active and responsive. The trail map claimed it to be only .7 miles but the amount of time we spent at each exhibit had us there for almost 2 hours which flew by. Highly recommend for family's with small children.

We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't busy but it definitely wasn't empty. The zoo itself takes about 20-30 mins, depending on your speed, to go through but they have a huge park and playground there which was nice. Everyone was super helpful and the price was low. Looks like they are adding on some more displays. Overall a good experience and fun way to spend part the day. We'll be back soon.

Beautiful small zoo. The habitats are well done, the animals are interesting and easy to observe, the price is fair, the playground is nice and there are tables. We will be making a habit of stopping by. The aviary was our favorite! The golden pheasants are gorgeous and it was so fun to be up close to all the birds.

Great place to enjoy a nice walk while enjoying the view of the animals and the fresh air. They have really well priced snacks in the gift shop/ticket counter.

New Mexico's smallest Zoo is a perfect place for a short daytime activity. Whether you have kids, other plans, or just not a lot of time, this is a great way to bring a smile to everyone's face for a cheap price in a short amount of time.

Always enjoyable although it's a small zoo. Inexpensive but you can easily spend a few hours there if you take your time. Great little gift shop as well. There are lots of animals you dont usually see in bigger zoo's, as well as a playground area for the kids to play at. Bring water and wear a hat in the summer, not much shade and it can get hot. UPDATE; went on July 28th, some exhibits and areas are closed due to new construction. Plenty left to see and do still. 👍

Very cute zoo. Small zoo but the animals are very active and well taken care of. There is a playground inside as well for the kiddos. Worth a trip to check it out!

Absolutely loved this zoo and the staff were wonderful. Going to be coming back often. Great price, great exhibits with well cared for happy animals. Don't miss the herd animals in the back along with the wolves! Thanks to the gift shop lady for letting us know ❤

I'm from El Paso. Alamogordo's zoo is so cute and has a lot of different animals than in El Paso. We enjoyed it.

Wonderful smaller zoo. Lots of different animals & places to sit. Cheap admission, which is great. Wish the animals had more space, but other than that seems okay.

Love this place it is not expencive and we help the animals eat more when you buy the extra feed to give them. They have playground for the kids and picknick tables kids will have lots of fun.

I love coming here. Very small zoo, but still worth going to see. Animas are happy and healthy. Prices are great, and improvements are being made. Still wish they charged a little more. $4 is a steal of a deal. Would gladly pay $8 to $10. Can't wait to come back after renovations are over to see all the new great things that are happening.

Cute little zoo with a fun variety of rescued animals. It's definitely worth the stop for the $4 admission! Great for the kiddos, too!

It's a small but decent little zoo. Great for younger kids.

This place is a little slice of heaven- not a huge place, but it's like having your own private zoo if you go during the weekday. I recommend going early and you can see the animals eat breakfast. Very affordable 1 senior,1 adult 1 child and 1 toddler was $9(an excellent deal compared to other zoos ive been to)and the animals all look well cared for.

Awesome Zoo really clean super healthy animals it's the oldest zoo in the southwest over a hundred years old everything in the gift shop is super inexpensive this was our third or fourth time there and we will be back

It is fairly cheap for such a nice zoo. There was a very nice playground for older children(maybe 6+ yrs). The grounds were very clean and tidy. There is usually a smell associated with zoos, but none I could tell here, except for the educational facility where there's terrariums and aquariums. That's to be expected, in my opinion. Several sections showed the time frame for the renovation or addition if they were blocked off, which has me excited to see the progress over the course of our visits. Pets(excluding leashed service animals) are prohibited. They have decent bench seating and plenty of open space for picnics, which are allowed(outside food and drink overall). In all, I will be getting an annual pass and can't wait to spend many more days there.

Great spot. For four bucks for adults. The zoo is small but the animals are close to you. If you're looking for comparison to San Diego zoo you'll be disappointed. Pretty spot in the park to walk through and a great zoo for the price.

For the price and what they have it's ok hadn't been there in over 30 yrs lost lots of animal's but sorry to see it going down. But for 2.00 a person my grandsons sure liked it took literally 15 mins to go through it all.

Small but appropriately priced admission; even the gift shop was refreshingly reasonable compared to most zoo gift shops. Lots of picnic tables, half or so with good shade. Nice playground but was closed for renovation at time of my visit-really would make it like a pleasant walk in the park.

Great little zoo. Nice mix of animals and birds. Clean bathrooms, cute gift shop. Playground and picnic tables. No dogs allowed. Very affordable.

Nice place to see some rare birds in cages. The best part is the train that comes through to scare the birds. On a good day, you see all their feathers ruffled up and get a great picture.

👍👍 We needed a place to let the pups train, and play. It was perfect. No one around so we did some off leash training. They are mot used to the strong winds but we managed. We will return
