👍 The dinner buffet spread is just right, not too many and not too less offerings. Roast lamb, salmon sashimi, sushis, pan grilled mackerel and pan fried salmon are among the good dishes. The only drinks that come with the buffet are coffee and tea. People often mention good, service, great, Chef, area, buffet, time, staff, Baguio, dining,

It was our first time at Le Chef and definitely this will now be part of our go to place in Baguio. We ordered steak and cake ala mode. Both are delicious. We asked for our steak to have it well done and it came out still tender and juicy. The ambiance is cozy, staff are nice and the place is clean. Perfect place to eat, have coffee and hang out with your friends and family.

US Angus prime is really tender.Melts in your mouth. Creamy, buttery salmon so good. Great way to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary. The best appetizers and dessert. Thanks to our attentive server Jerald.

Food is decent - needs more options. Steak and pork are very good as are the sauces. The wait staff are slow and it takes forever to get a drink at anytime of day. I have been here over 40 times, while staying for work and they just need to make some refinements. Very beautiful and rustic facility and great location, they just need to fix some basic things.

Selection is OK. Breakfast buffet for 4 hours is ample time to taste all food and enjoy the views. Dining area is quiet.

We had a splendid time bonding together with the better half and his fellow company executive for Thanksgiving dinner at Le Chef at The Manor, at Camp John Hay with the hotel’s flavorful Thanksgiving menu, of which we all savored its perfect blend of taste in each of the dish served plus their spectacular plating. The only downside we encountered while dining here was the lack of attention given by the staff to its guests. We always had to call out to follow up our orders. Took them a long time to serve the dishes. This needs to get improved or else they might encounter a guest who has no patience for this. Another note - make a table reservation before coming as they don’t entertain walk-in guests. In our case, however, my insistence worked since we were actually checked in at The Forest Lodge. Lucky for us, as a matter of fact. 🥰

We had our 19th wedding anniversary dinner at Le Chef and everything was 5-star immaculate. The service staff were exceptional and constantly alert and well trained. They even scattered fresh rose petals on our table, it was absolutely lovely and such a kind gesture. Special thanks to Xavier and Charles who looked after us with great care. They, along with the other staff, made our night so special. The 4-course dinner was delicious and well presented. The deluxe house red wine was surprisingly good. And the bread.... wow! Many many thanks to the staff at Le Chef for making our anniversary so special.

My family has been dining here since 2006, and this is still our favorite place. Definitely the first place that comes to mind if I wanna treat someone. The management team has done a great job keeping this place beautiful and operational for many years without showing any signs of depreciation. The service was still amazing, and the food tasted great.

Food Selection -Le Chef offers both Ala Carte & Buffet Meals, that have various dishes to choose from -we particularly love their steaks - both the beef & lamb variety - that come with different sidings; their mashed potato siding is quite flavorful -we love their Greek Salad the most & their pesto pasta -their desserts are mouthwatering, albeit not as many choices as we would have liked -they have a decent wine selection, though we were expecting they would have more fine wines in their selection -we are just glad that the delightful taste, the filling serving sizes, & the plating of the dishes remain top notch through the years (at least, since we first dined at Le Chef in 2012) -the dishes remained appetizing, delicious, & satisfying -the freshness & quality of the ingredients - under the skillful hands, discriminating taste, & artistry of the Chef - translate into such delicious & satisfying dishes Service -we've been dining at Le Chef since 2012; we usually go there at least 3-4 times a year, sometimes more, usually in groups (between 4 to 20 people in a group) -it appears that through the years, the service has slightly deteriorated in terms of waiting time; this is most noticeable during the peak days/hours. This appears to be because they are understaffed & they seem to have a high turn over of staff (sometimes there would be new managers/supervisors, waiters, servers only after a few months). There have been times when only 1 waiter would handle an area that accommodates at least 50 diners; while there are other servers that assist in serving the dishes, the taking of orders is done by just this 1 waiter -In one of our recent visits last October 2019, the male supervisor did not even attempt to help out that 1 waiter in his area (the male supervisor was just standing there, adjusting his clothes & avoiding eye contact with any of the diners); good thing, the female supervisor in another area took the initiative to help out that 1 waiter Ambience -given the location, the temperature is great coupled with the relatively fresher air -during dry season (summer), it can get warm at lunch time (especially in the dining area inside); during the rainy season, it can get too cold in the evenings (but they provide heaters for this) -generally, the patrons are decent people; however, being that the location is a tourist spot & open to the public, there would just be times when some guests (not necessarily diners) would have noisy kids & obnoxious/unsightly teens/young adults who seem unable to notice that there are other patrons who just want to have a quiet meal -when they serve Buffet Meals, expect the crowd to be a lot noisier (this is one reason we prefer to dine when they serve Ala Carte, when there are less people & too often the patrons are more quiet; our only concern during Ala Carte is the serving time) -parking is limited, but they allow diners to park at The Forest Lodge parking area for a PhP 50.00 fee per vehicle (as of October 2019); the parking area is within walking distance of Le Chef; from that parking area, one would just enter Le Chef via the garden dining area (not via the reception/lobby of The Manor) -if taking a cab, one can be dropped off at the reception/lobby of The Manor Wish List -we wish that parking is free for diners, even if they park at The Forest Lodge parking area -we wish that they deploy more waiters during peak days/hours to shorten waiting time -we wish they hire more permanent managers/supervisors, waiters, & servers who will stay with the company longer, so that they can get to know more the frequent patrons/diners, that they could offer not only professional service but also personalized care (like they would know our favorite dining area, our favorite dishes, our preferred wines, how we like our steaks, etc.) Pricing -pricing is just about right given the menu, the service, and the ambience

Went here to celebrate the NYE with my family. The buffet was remarkable! As always, excellent dinner buffet experience. There were variety of foods to choose from but my personal faves were the US Black Angus Prime Rib and steak and the best fresh air flown salamon sashimi. The best chocolate fountain and Belgian Chocolate Gateau for dessert! Those are just my personal faves but everything was actually yummy. The NYE party at The Manor was a blast! Staffs are every attentive and friendly. Great customer service. Overall excellent experience. :)

Incredibly tasty food! Lovely environment. Worth the price for the set menu - very filling! Only think to improve is make it easier to call the staff over - they aren’t very attentive. Also, parking was full so had to park next door.

We decided to cap our four-day-late-February visit to Baguio with a romantic dinner here. We were dressed in your typical tourist attire, having done a whole afternoon of sightseeing. In spite of our being underdressed given the place's formal setting, the servers treated us no differently from the rest of the patrons. We requested to be seated outside below the canopy so we could admire the flowers and enjoy the crisp mountain air. The all white table setting contrasted very nicely with the verdant surrounding. We ordered blackened Norwegian salmon and Malaysian goat curry plus the salads and white rice. Top notch presentation. Excellent taste. I enjoyed my curry but would have preferred it to be spicier. Great dining experience. Too bad the cool mountain air outside meant our food cooled rather quickly. The server was attentive without being intrusive. He anticipated our needs, including asking that universal question: "Do you want me to take a picture of you two?" As I was finishing my meal, the waiter asked whether I was ready for my coffee. (I mentioned at the beginning that I wanted my piping hot coffee served at the end of my meal.) After the dinner, we headed to the Piano Bar for dessert and tea. That is the subject of another review.

They had an outdoor setting at the far corner beside the Ifugao Park on The Manor grounds. They had a bonfire going and together with the cold, crisp weather - it was an awesome night snack with family 😊. The only thing is you need to eat quick because food gets cold fast! 😄

The breakfast buffet serves mainly Filipino food. Good variety of locally grown fruits. It's 880 php for the breakfast. I highly recommend the carrot cake from the bakery.

(Translated by Google) I rarely put five stars It is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city of Baguio, the restaurant is sophisticated and luxurious and large and multi-staff open and closed corners and winter sweets, eating very tasty and in a good quantity and multiple varieties, the medium size, prices are very good and acceptable to me, the decor is vintage and full of originality and history, Tml, this restaurant will be my permanent destination for my special visits in this beautiful city. Food is great but it takes a very long time to get out. An hour passed by and barely got the appetizer. The drink I ordered didn’t come in until I follow up with it. Food takes way too long to get out.

STRAWBERRY SHAKE & HOT CHOCOLATE IS SOOOOOOO BOMB…. Their steaks has big portion of fats than meat but the taste is so good and price friendly.. No chance to take a photo of what we ordered.

We had breakfast buffet in the manor, and we only paid for 2 adults as our daughter is still free of charge (1,100 php per head). They offer wide variety of food e.g., Asian cuisine, an omelette station, bacon, sausages, Filipino dishes, salads, cereals, bread, fruits, and beverages etc. During that time (Dec 2022), when you dine, you can get free access to their garden display, which costs about 150 php per person. If you have an extra budget for your trip, Try to dine at Le Chef. We have tried their lunch, and dinner service in our past visits, and it is worth it. ⭐️Excellent customer service 🚗A lot of parking space and they have valet too. 🚻 Separate toilet for male, female and PWD. Its clean 👌 ♿️ PWD accessible

My first visit to Le Chef restaurant today (walk-in guest, I am not staying at the hotel), I tried the Norwegian salmon. A bit pricy but it was delicious and the serving size was more than ample. The restaurant is huge, the decor is luxurious and the service was first class!

  • 3/5 Jason K. 1 year ago on Google
Food is decent. For me, the bread & butter was beautiful (9/10). Bread was warm and butter was nice (and easy to apply). For me, the Salmon is over cooked and the skin soaked up the pasta's gravy (5/10), hence not crisp. Babyback ribs a little hard (4/10). Pork (5/10) and Angus beef (6/10) was a little over cooked. Penne pasta is good (8/10); caebonara too (6/10). Service was impeccable; service staff was very attentive to details and prompt in service. The location and environment is exceptional... Should make a trip here for the experience, regardless of how picky one is with food. And... It's always a bonus to have a clean, roomy & well equipped bathroom. Will definitely book a stay next time round.

This place is worth visiting when you're in Baguio. The food is really great. Their lunch set is the one to consider. You should try the steak and salmon sets. Match them with the salad or soup and have the strawberry romanov for dessert. Their warm bread is also good. We had to ask for another serving though I would prefer salted butter than unsalted. Capping the meal with their lipton tea was a disappointment though. I expected some loose leaves green tea would be a good match for the set that they offered. Otherwise, the food and the service were superb. I would have given them 5 stars if valet parking was free when dining.
