Located in one of the crannies in Baguio, Foggy Mountain Cookhouse is a great restaurant choice for the most special evening during your stay. Owner and chef Babes Reyes has traveled worldwide and brought home his love for looking. The restaurant specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. The place is actually the chef’s ancestral home. You’ll find it pleasing to eat beside a grand sofa set or on a table beside the stairs. The view from the dining area is also phenomenal! Since the space is limited, Foggy Mountain Cookhouse only accepts guests who made prior reservations. Pre-orders are also available.

Great quality food from Chef Babes! View is great especially at sunset. Ambience feels like being invited to the home of a close family friend for meals. Will be a regular item in our Baguio itinerary moving forward.

The place is so serene. The view is breathtaking. You need to call for reservation because there are only a few tables. The food is so good that we will return to try the other choices in the menu. It's better to pre-order so you will have wide variety of choices. Bring cash because it's cash transactions only.

The ambiance was relaxing and romantic. It felt homey and the view was lovely. The Foods? Scrumptious! Their ingredients tasted fresh and seemed like they’re of high quality. They’re worth every penny. The owner was very kind too!

Foggy Mountain Cookhouse is located on St. Joseph St., San Carlos Heights, Baguio City. Our reservation was at 7:30pm. We called the day before and we were requested to send our orders before 8pm. The next day, when we got there before our reservation time, it was already dark obviously and it was raining. Instruction received was to make busina 3 times. Like a secret code. We had ordered Seared Salmon Fillet; Crispy Cobbler Fillet; Porchetta; Chicken Parmesan Pot Pie and pasta with egg/truffle oil. Serving was for 1-2 but for us, it was 2-3. The food took some time to be served but the wait was worth it as the food was delicious. Staff were very attentive and very patient when they asked how we want our seared salmon. The dining area was outdoors and it was raining so it was cold and there was no scenic view but they provided a fire pit to provide some warmth. The driveway going up to the restaurant was a bit steep and because it was raining, you need to be extra careful going up. Not advisable if you have seniors with you. We later found out that the house is the ancestral home of Chef Babes. Regarding Parking…going back to the secret code, a staff will guide you where to park. When we arrived, their driveway was already full (around 4 cars) so we had to park along the street. View: since it was already dark, there was no view haha. Chef Babes suggested that next time, we should arrive around 5:30pm when the sun goes down.

I will give it 5 stars for the effort and the concept, but honestly 4.8 on the food side. My wife and I loved the idea of going to a private house and ordering in advance so your food is fresh. It has a real bed and breakfast experience. The service was very good and the staff is courteous and friendly. The ambiance and view are magnificent and well worth having a meal on that home's backyard porch. Okay, the food. and remember this is based on the preference of course and also being an American, my palette and taste buds are damaged for life. I didn't like the mustard in the salad, at first, but it grew on me, and I enjoyed it. My wife's Chicken Parmigiano Pot Pie was delicious and my Shrimp Pasta was very good as well. I wish there were more of a garlicky taste to the Pasta, but I kept in mind, it wasn't Scampi, so it's all good. If I had a choice to change that dish, it would be to use freshly grilled shrimp out of the pan, into the salad. Although delicious, we are not huge fans of frozen shrimp (yes they were cooked and hot) in a hot meal, but the taste was really good. The shrimp salad was Awesome, and I really enjoyed it. The house Iced Tea was one of the best I have ever tasted. The ice cream is ALL my personal preference, but as a person who does honest reviews, I have to be honest. I am not a fan of Balsamic Vinaigrette in ice cream, it is just too much for me, and my taste buds were very confused but my wife liked it. I will recommend Foggy Mountain Cookhouse to all my friends and family, as it is as unique as you can get for a personal dinner at a home. Parking: The young lady who helped us park was friendly and very sweet. Very helpful and very kind.

GREAT GREAT GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE! Nothing beats having straightforward excellent gourmet dishes served to you in a private home with a nice view of the foggy hills of Baguio. Reservation was seamless, you just have to sms or call the owner Chef Babes, and pre-order the food you want, let him know when they can expect you, and they will welcome you and open their gates for you at the exact time you said like what good hosts do. About the place, well it’s a house turned restaurant, so only a few tables are available, set up both as alfresco in the balcony and indoor dining as well. It’s exactly like being invited in a friend’s house. Just turns out that that friend is an awesome chef. The place looks better in the afternoon or sunset time so it’s perfect for early dinners. There could be more improvements, but overall it’s ok. About the food, no words needed, you just have to try them out! Thanks to the whole team of Foggy Mountain Cookhouse, I had a great experience! Will definitely be back, and with a larger group so that I can taste all the food.

What a gastronomical experience high up the mountains. Chef Babes was ever so gracious, from booking our table to cooking our meals. We highly recommend you try: Roasted Italian Herbed Chicken, Porcheta, Salmon Pot Pie, Shrimp pasta, Fresh Strawberry in Balsamic Vinegar and Muscovado Sugar in Vanilla Ice Cream. All their side dishes are a must try -- Moroccan Rice, Mixed Greens with Orange Vinegrette, Flat Bread with Hummus Upside: it's a residence turned restaurant so the ambience is quite homey/homely. Food is extraordinary, as the chef used produce and herbs from his own garden. It was mighty thoughtful of them to arrange parking space in front of the home entrance as we were with a senior citizen whose knees are ailing. Downside: it's a bit far from the city and parking isn't ideal. Do we recommend this place? Absolutely a must-try and for special occasions Are we going back? Definitely

By far the best meal I ever had in Baguio! Dining is by reservation and the place is only limited to a maximum of 40 guests at a time since it is also the residence of the owner/chef. Expect a very limited parking space but having a limited parking space should not stop you from experiencing one of the best meals in Baguio.

When we were searching for somewhere "posh-ish" to spend dinner for a friend's birthday in Baguio, we chanced upon this recommendation on line. I quickly browsed through the information about it and hav3 not read it carefully. All that caught my eyes were: "Bookings are required." Immediately i tried to book for that night but we were informed that all tables are booked. We reserved for the following night instead. From most reviews, they wrote that chef babes were accomodating and that they were at home and the chef even went to their table. This was not how our experience went. Let me list the down. 1. Their facebook page is the source of their menu so if you read about their resto somewhere else, you'll be completely lost like what happened to us. We were not aware that you would have to order atleast one day in advance. No reminder was sent to us on our orders the day before. The text message received asking us for our orders were after we texted them first to remind them of our booking and after my friend browsed through their facebook page. The response we received sounded irrirated 2. We arrived early and were seated at a table located in front of their house's front door. We asked if we could transfer tables but we were advised that tables are based on who reserved first (which was not indicated online) 3. Not that we were expecting, but no chef greeted us while we were having dinner until the time that we left. If tou'll read other reviews, they kept on bragging how the chef graced them with their presence during dinner. (I think this was also mentioned on a tv segment) 4. There are no pictures of food on their facebook page and the serving size can be misleading. We ordered 2 main dishes expecting that it was only good for atleast 4, but no... it was good to feed 6-7 people. In summary, food was okay and since it's pricey, maybe good to experience just once just for the view alone and then never do it again. There are other joints way way way better compared to this My opinion only. ✌

One of the 'secret' restaurants in baguio city. As far as I know you they only accept advance reservations and food order. Because chef babes need to prepare the food a day before. If you love lamb meat, then this is a must try. Chef babes will personally meet with the customers. It's possible to take out leftover food, but chef does not encourage this because he said that the food that he makes is best eaten after it is served. The location is quite hard to find but waze or Google maps can handle it. Also your driving skills will be tested because of the steep parking. The ambiance is quite cozy and the view is just breathtaking.

Place is homey (it's a real house 😉). You have to reserve so that you will be served. View is beautiful. When we went there it was not foggy 😂. Good place to dine with friends. Food for me is ok.

I enjoyed Salmon Tartare the most. I'm a little bit biased since salmon is one of my favorite tapos may avocado pa. Porchetta has that asmr effect when you bit into the belly. The roasted chicken is tender and the truffle pasta is creamy with smoky/woody aroma. Bacon and ice cream works well together that I think I will try at home. True to its namesake, we did have a foggy view that day. More on IG @mangan.pasyar.stories

Awesome food! I have no words to describe it. The Italian Farmhouse stew was one of a kind. And the Fresh Strawberry in Balsamic Vinegar and muscovado with vanilla ice cream was an extra surprise! Will surely come here again for the experience. Compliments to the chef and the accommodating staff. Super recommended to anyone who visits Baguio City.

Went to Baguio just to try this place because of the large number of good reviews. Poor service for reservation-only cookhouse, pricy for not so sumptuous food.

We ordered several dishes -- crispy squid fries, roasted italian herbed chicken, pasta with egg/truffle oil sauce, porchetta, and moroccan rice. The first three are really good, the last two were not exactly to our liking (porchetta was not crunchy and was hard and moroccan rice was too strong for our taste). Great view and really friendly staff.

Was too hungry so we weren’t able to take pictures of the main dishes but their boneless lamb dish was really good (no strong lamb after taste) and the porkchop was also soft and tender. Cheese & bacon ice cream was also good. Since the chef isn’t around, the service was a bit slow at first and the staff seemed a bit confused but the quality of the food made up for it. Since they forgot our reservation, they also served us chardonnay on the house and gave us an engraved shot glass for our 2nd wedding anniversary which celebrated at their resto.

I got to know the place through Google, and it’s such a wonderful experience here we met the owner of the restaurant and he asked us if we had a reservation, I told him we do not have a reservation frankly and he said there is no problem (and my opinion who wanna go there should have a reservation because the table is limited, the place is great and the food and service are as well, we ordered chops beef, and Pasta with Shrimp, the food was delicious.

The whole experience was a joke from start to finish. When I arrived at the restaurant, we were seated outside, and eventually moved into the main Restaurant. I had ordered Roast Lamb, it came out cold, so returned to the kitchen, for heating up,. My Guest had ordered Squid, and French fries, which she attempted to eat. We Both walked out in the end, The owner, showing himself up,by balling out I was in the Philippines in front of all his customers.would not recommended eating here.

Overall experience was amazing. Orders are taken the day before. Servings are generous enough for the prices. I recommend the Baked Salmon Pie and the Lamb dish. The owner was hospitable and quite friendly. The only thing that prevented me from giving this placr 5 stars is the lack of parking spaces.

I was looking forward to a good meal since it is pre-ordered. Roasted chicken is ok. Fried breaded squid is just fine. Angus beef is tough (very disappointing) and serving portion is a bit small. Truffle pasta is a let down too (kinda bland and pasta sticking). Overall, this is 3/5 (on the basis of value for money and food quality)
