I will be honest... the food was alarmingly terrible. I wish I were exaggerating, or had a better experience to write about. But I do not even wish to have my worst enemy eat here, so here I am writing my first review, as is my duty as a responsible citizen of the country. The main dishes were.... awful. They lacked flavor, and had small servings. Their Ruins Coffee was the worst coffee I have ever had in my entire life. It barely tasted like coffee; indeed, it is their specialty drink, as you would be hard-pressed to find this blend anywhere else. It tasted like how I imagine sweetened mud would taste like. The ambience and the view were not as nice as I was led to believe. And to top it all off, they don't allow reservations, the queue was long, and the service was simply not good. Overall, it is not worth the good reputation it gets. They absolutely do not deserve the hype. Though if you are in the mood to have your taste buds ruined for life, by all means give this a go then!

came here around 130pm and we know there is a wait but did not expect to wait till 330 pm. There were also other customer who waited that long and we already complained to the staff , that there are some customers who are already done eating but taking a long time to bill out, they know its a busy season and they just let their customers do that they should let them know that there are other paying customers that are still waiting. It its okay to stay long as long as there is no long line waiting. Food is great. We ordered ahead so when we were seated we only waited 10mins for the food. Parking is limited, they also tend to close the restaurant if there is a long wait inside. Price ₱₱₱

For all the breakfast lovers out there Café by the Ruins is a must see, must visit, must taste restaurant if you happen to be in Baguio. You won’t go wrong in any of there breakfast meals. As it has gone renovation even prior to the pandemic, the restaurant can now accommodate more guests. Best to visit as early as opening time to avoid waiting in the queue. Food is just a bit pricey perhaps because of its popularity, hence the 4 stars.

It’s one of the most popular cafés in Baguio, so we decided to pay it a visit. Tried their bestseller Ruins Longganisa. I thought the meat was a bit dry and the rice was moist. Their coffee tasted great, though. They have plenty of bread options but didn’t order due to fullness. Best to go early to avoid long waiting time. Service charge: 5%

The salad was disappointing, we ordered Thai beef salad and the beef was like chewing gum, The greens weren't fresh, and the salad was served last. Fries is okay, street Saigon sandwich with bagnet is okay, bagnet could be crispier as well as the sweet potato on the side. Iced ruins coffee is good. I won't go back.

The food was good. Their fillet mignon was cooked as requested to my liking (medium rare). The staff were really attentive and quick to respond to your needs. The place is a bit crowded but is still very lovely.

Consistent with it's brand, this Café is the best spot to enjoy your Baguio breakfast! Food is great, ambience is peaceful, service is the best! They have a unique take on typical dishes which you'll keep coming back for. Enjoy their pastries and drinks that bring a delectable experience. Parking is quite tight. No reservations accepted. First come, first served basis.

This restaurant was worth the wait when I dined here with a group. Great taste, Good meal variety, great staff, average value and the wait wasn't that bad (it's par for the course on highly reviewed restaurants in Baguio, so 45min wait or more during peak hours). Oh and the dining experience in the second floor is fantastic at night. It's very chill and relaxing. I really enjoyed anything that had vegetables served in this place. I say that because I normally don't eat that and I find it remarkable. When reading the menus, take note that most mains are for a single serving. Just keep that in mind when coming in as a group.

Food was tasty and delicious. Ordered Sinigang na Bagnet and it was heavenly! All food that we ordered were served hot. Staff were polite and courteous. Just need some attention to detail on cleanliness. One of the spoons on our table wasn't washed properly as it still had some smudges and hardened food crumb. I just had it replaced. Overall we enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

Café by the Ruins made me experience the old and new of Baguio. Whatever remains from the old facade and the view of city hall gave the faint feelings that stir inside me, reminding me of my childhood when I first visited Baguio. The foods served were all delicious and with simple plating that gave the touch of new-ness. Overall, we enjoyed not just the food but also the vibe of the place.

Great tasting food! Dining here for breakfast was the best decision during my 2-day Baguio Solo Trip! Their coffee, artisan breads, and breakfast meals were warming and fulfilling to eat! I even asked for a to-go baggy to keep me full on my day ahead!

What a lovely cafe this place is. Love the food and the scenery. A must to stop here. All the food is good! The bread here is also great! Very affordable

The ambiance does help with enjoying the food. I mean, the bread here alone is phenomenal! Their signature Coffee goes with any bread and spread, the bacon isn't that oily, the longganisa is SO GOOD. I had to log in all the food I ate and labeled it as my cheat meal 😂. Would recommend it! 11/10 Also, sidenote: the staff are really friendly, and accommodating. They really make it easy for someone like me (super shy) to talk to them

We went here for dinner on a weekday, no long lines encountered and got accommodated right away. We took a cab going here as the parking space is limited. Nice ambiance in a middle of the city. My hubby ordered a fillet mignon with a doneness of medium rare - he said that it is good, the sauteed spinach and the marble potatoes on the side is well seasoned. We also tried the Kalabasa Puree which has a rich flavor. Tia Olympia's Fresh Lumpia is a bomb - it has a distinct taste among the fresh lumpias I tasted. I would recommend to try Cheese lumpia straws as well, never expected this to taste sooo good. However, the Pasta ala Carbonara is just so-so for me, the pasta is a bit overcooked but the home cured bacon is generous. We took out Lola Luisa's ensaymada - this is so fluffy and it has a lot of cheese toppings, and their Kamote Cinnamon rolls, perfect with a cup of hot coffee.

Went for breakfast after being gone for a long time. The place is serene, ruins cafe and trademark camote bread with liver pâté is perfect. Staff are attentive and welcoming, too. Baguio experience is not complete without coming here.

One of the best restaurants in Baguio City. There are a lot of healthy options to choose from. Pricing is average. Ambiance is nice and there's a lot of "instagrammable" areas. Staff are attentive. At peak hours, after ordering food, it would take approximately 30 minutes for the order to arrive. This restaurant has 2 floors and can accommodate roughly 40 customers at a time. Go here early to avoid long lines. Suggested time of visit for dinner, 6:00PM. Last order is at 9:00PM.

First thing you notice is the atmosphere. Before the entrance, there’s a nice walkway of vines and bamboo that give good shade when you’re waiting to be seated (I would suggest going early because there is always a line) If possible try to sit upstairs unfortunately I didn’t get a chance because it was full but I did take a peak and it very nice up there. The food was really good and the coffee was amazing. I ordered the bacon and eggs which was delicious, they give you a good amount of bacon and the egg is perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend any of their breads with the liver paté, the paté is 10/10

We love eating here every time we're in Baguio. The flavors and ambiance have been consistent over the years. Even the menus look the same over the years. As in all places in Baguio, parking here is difficult so we always make sure to come at non peak hours & days. A little pricey but our meals already come with a bowl of fresh cut fruit - papaya, watermelon & pineapple and our choice of drink, so for me, it's well worth the price & it's not everyday that we eat here.

Food was so good. Service of the staffs were a bit off since you need to update them for your order maybe because they are too busy. Atmosphere was classy.

I’m sure the resto offers good food as evidenced by the steady influx of customers. Too bad I wasn’t too thrilled with my Ruins Coffee, camote & basil breads. Bread size is big thus I had to take them out. Items in the menu are reasonably priced. The place seems a bit cramped. Hanging out after a meal might not be convenient since new customers need the tables.

I loved the food! But it's the brewed coffee that I liked the most. The coffee beans taste like they were roasted differently compared to others. The Rizal's chocolate is creamy but not too sweet, love it.

Food was great! Super recommended their pasta. Did not like the spread for the kamote bread though. Hot and cold chocolate might be a bit bitter for those who like their chocolates sweet. Also bought their coffee beans and mango jam!

As one of the more popular places to dine, the waiting line can be too long, so make sure to allot 30 minutes. The ambience is great though! At the second floor, you are isolated from hustle and bustle of the streets, and instead have a nice view of trees and faraway houses. They do not have the vegetable menu on breakfast, and this makes it hard for a vegan/vegetarian to truly enjoy it on a morning. Coffee is okay, you can have bread or soup.

Great coffee good ambiance Bit pricey for the food portion but the iced ruins latte is really good Food I honestly wouldn’t come here to order anymore as portions are so darn small and the taste is soso

Good option for those who want to spend a quite quiet evening away from the noise of the city. I just couldn’t get it why we were not allowed to transfer upstairs but when other guests arrived, oh well. It’s alright. Life can sometimes be unfair, you know. Anyway, I super like the beverages we had! Their tea was superb! Great job for having a friendly staff as well! ✨

Really nice interiors and ambiance. Love the hot chocolate (tastes creamier than the usual) and the bacon rice meal was also good albeit pricy. You can get the same food elsewhere in Baguio for much cheaper. I think dining here once is good enough for me.

Cafe By the Ruins was my Favorite Baguio Restaurant. Everytime we would go to Baguio this was always on our list. But sadly i would have to temporarily erase them from my list of to go to Baguio Restaurants. I ordered the Bagnet, my sister ordered the Fillet Mignon while our driver ordered the Chicken (forgot the exact name). Service was great, Service water was placed immediately after we were seated. And we did not wait long for the food, but the food is another story. The Bagnet was Good but it is not the Bagnet that has Crispy skin. The skin was anything but crispy. The Fillet Mignon was tough. I read some reviews and someone else complained about this dish. The Chicken was cold. Food Quality has obviously declined, hopefully on my next visit, the food would be better. (If ever i do go back)

We were really surprised for the large amount of their sumptuous meals. Solo is good for solo family \ (^○^)/ But its good, the crew is very polite and hospitable

A not so quiet corner due to busy road. Al fresco is so so. But their scones are highly recommended. Their sourdough is too dry. They allow bike so all good although at first I got a no from the cashier and Idk if it's because it just rained.

They have sink outside where you can wash your hands before entering the cafe. They are checking for temp and vax card. About the food, i'd say its too pricey. I ordered croissant ( they got the texture outside crispy however i was dissapointed when i cut the bread. Please see photos for your judgement. It cost me 100. They also sided it with yummy strawberry jam with butter, but the bread is a 3/5). The arozcaldo is good and the serving is okay but thr taste is not worth it for 185. The rizal chokolate tasted like swissmiss not worth it for 140. The suman and sourbread with liver pate is one i can recommend .

Disappointing experience food wise, although the space was very nice. Seating options upstairs and downstairs, with the upstairs seating offering more breeze and a bit of a view out to the street. Food was average though, with a few things unavailable. Perhaps this is due to the pandemic. Service was also a little disappointing - my lunch item was unavailable but it took 15 minutes for them to tell me that they didn't have it, by which time the others' food had arrived.

👍👍 Ate here everyday that we were in Baguio because we love the home-cooked style. Plus the price is definitely a great selling point Highly recommend their chicken (tastes good even without any sauce) and their cinnamon twists (100 times better than Starbucks' cinnamon roll). 👍👍 A wonderful family restaurant to be in Baguio. About a 15-minute drive from the city center, Lemon and Olives specializes in Greek cuisine. Due to its popularity, waiting in line is common.
