Mang Inasal - SM City Baguio

Restaurant Fast food restaurant Chicken restaurant

🫤 Place is too small and too crowded. We've only been able to eat here once out of the 20 attempts due to no table being available. They need to upgrade and widen this restaurant. Quality is also a bit affected due to the volume of customers. Eating here, although delicious, is uncomfortable. People often mention chicken, rice, order, customers, service, Mang, Inasal, wait, time, staff,

I've been dining at this Mang Inasal Branch for how many years and nothing change. The wait is still pretty long although I came here very early. There's no much customers at that time so I was wondering why I waited for almost 25 minutes. So when I got my Chicken, I'm so happy because it is my brunch. Also, the chicken was pretty cooked nicely. It doesn't have blood at the bones because in some other franchise it was very common. Another thing why I gave it a 4 star because I was waiting for the people who give rice but no one is roaming around. Therefore, I feel like ordering unli rice didn't worth it because I only had one even if I'm so hungry at that time. But anyway, it was still a nice experience so yeah.

The unlimited rice and chicken inasal are the only good things about this restaurant. Ambiance, it seems, does not exist in this place. You'll be eating amidst a mob of people. The tables, chairs, and floor are all coated with chicken oil. Be careful walking you might slip and fall. I guess the food is so popular that's why it's always crowded. And that might be reason why Mang Inasal doesn't care about the suggestions to improve the service.

Service is slow. Its a mess during peak hours. Kitchen is too noisy, you can see some dining crew throwing some stuff at the counter. Our order was delayed. 3 FIM , 2 arrived without saying anything about our 3rd order. Then we have to ask for an update, they said we have to wait for 13min.. 30min without any update so we have to ask again. We understand that its a peak hour but ignoring us is a different story. My friends are done eating thats the time my order arrived. Ive seen a lot of restaurants that has many customers but they still mange to clean their tables and floors.

Place is quite small, usually get crowded easily. Service is good, staffs are quite insufficient. Still hoping for some improvements for this branch inside SM.

Lack of crew staffs, slow service. Too many customers... should at least add more staff to clean even floors. They should prioritize cleanliness more than profit.

Went to get dinner here and was told “sorry sir, chicken out of stock”. I nearly burst out laughing cause that is literally the only thing they sell. Seems they are too stupid to order enough in advance, so serves them right if they lose profits as a result of such stupidity. Only in the Philippines. I had been here before when they actually had chicken in stock and the area upstairs is always hot and Smokey. The smoke from the cooking goes directly upstairs. Horrible.

Dine in with family here last Monday. Service was too slow. And we tried to clean up a table so we can sit specially the 3 seniors who's with us. And didn't realiaze that we have to wait till they call our numbers. They let us stand and told that there's few customers ahead of us and they will call us when its our turn. And what we don't understand theres another table that has no customer but not cleaned.... Very disappointed

This was my first visit to this restaurant. To be honest, I chose this restaurant because I wanted to eat halo-halo. It was my first time to eat halo-halo, but it was a perfect combination of ice cream and fruit. This may be a common thing for Filipinos, but I would highly recommend this dessert to people like me who are new to this country. It is just the right amount of sweetness, a bit like the Japanese dessert called "anmitsu". I don't know because I haven't compared it with halo-halo from other restaurants, but I think the halo-halo from this restaurant was very delicious? Halo-halo is one of my favorite foods in the Philippines👍️

Almost full dining most of the time because of their grilled chicken and unlimited rice at an affordable price. There are stray cats roaming around.

I like Mang Inasal because of their unli rice, taste is good but I don't like the chicken part. Everytime we went there they only had pecho.

Almost an hour of waiting for our food and it's not even rush hour. Most of the staff are also not approachable.

Queue for seats was a bit of a confusing idea. They give you number but they wont let you upstairs for some reason even if there are vacant seats

Due to limited space you have to wait for your turn to get a table. Also no ventilation. I just hope they'll get a wider space to accommodate their customers. Mang Inasal is still the best, the chicken may be smaller compared to what it used to be but the familiar taste is still there.

We ordered around 3:33pm and waited 30 minutes before being seated. As usual the space is full. As we were seated we waited again for another 10 minutes or so. The staff at the dispatch area is loud and was mandating other staff inappropriately that caught my attention as we seated. The food arrived but it is no longer the same quality as we've ordered before, the chicken is cold and the rice is not cooked properly (sobrang malata ung kanin). We also requested for service water and it was served after we called out many times. We also overheard the dispatch yelling at the staff and said rudely to the staff to tell us "the customers" to wait if the water is available. I hope there is something that could be done to improve if not the space then maybe the service and the management of this branch.

Worst Mang Inasal in Baguio and all other Mang Inasal branch i've dined in. Personal experience, year 2022, me and my friends had lunch here, 3 of us ordered PM2 and 1 friend of ours ordered halohalo with palabok. They served our food but not the halohalo and palabok. We are already asking for 2nd serving of rice but our friends order is not yet served so he went downstairs to check and he was told its being prepared, really halohalo and palbok will take 30 mins???? We are almost done, our friend was fed up and he walked out and went to jollibee session and had his lunch. After before we leave thats the only time they serve the halohalo and palabok so we asked them to pack it. 2023, me and my sister went there to have merienda, we ordered halohalo and empanada. After 20 mins halohalo was served, we already finished the halohalo and there is no empanada being served, so we took our bag and went to the counter to take it out instead, and guess what, it was packed less than 3 mins. Fuckkkkk I conclude that this branch only focuses in serving chicken, then why are they offering merienda items if they dont want to serve it to their customers??? The second floor (dine in area) is so hot because the smoke from the kitchen goes up to the dining area (poor ventilation). Good thing they have tables set in the Porta Vaga hallway area. Serving food is so slow and staff are rude. You need to wait long for your food to be served, if you will approach staff and update your order, some will snob you and some will answer but in rude manner.

Worst mang inasal branch i have ever encountered You get your own utensils and soup at the counter Too crowded Burnt chicken You can't be seated without a number but many tables outside are occupied without a number regardless if you're with a senior. The female server responsible for seating the customers have the guts to magparinig because of my complaint. No patience to explain their seating system. Worst customer service

Big shout out to Joanna and the crew. Miss Joanna is rolling her eyes constantly while taking our order, very unpleasant experience. From the service crew to delivering our food, bad service, served our food cold and out in the open! We even offered to eat in the dark!! Just so we can have our food!! 👎👎👎

The food served to us was delicious but the service was very slow. We had to remind the server about some missing items in our orders. The supervisor trainee was of a little help in getting us our food but the head supervisor help us fast track our correct order.

The food is given, a typical Mang Inasal grilled chicken taste however the service is quite compromised maybe because it is so cramped to begin with and their crew is having a hard time navigating through the area hence hindering their service response. Though its in SM since the area is cramped up it is also understandable why the atmosphere is not that ideal compared to those who are exactly on the inside of the mall. Overall it's still acceptable for me.

crew members including managers are not courteous of the customers. Very crowded, we have to wait standing outside for 1hour just to be seated. they refuse to arrange the tables and chairs for us to be able to eat together.

Very popular...we had to wait n hour before we had the chance to get a seat. Too crowded. But it was worth waiting.

All time favorite of many Filipinos is Mang Inasal, so if you want unli rice make sure to drop here. Located just beside Jco.

Sad to say that I got a not good experience with the cashier. I have already paid for our food and the cash register went down. The cashier did not provide me a receipt with number queu. When we sat down with the table one of the crew prohibited us from sitting as we dont have a receipt and number queue. I have explained to the crew what happened but did not understand it and again asked us to stand up. What I did is go back to the cashier to get my receipt which she can print. Whats worse is that she forgotten our order. I am no 78 and shes already serving no 82 food.

Was here last night. The place was jam packed. Seats are limited and cannot accommodate all customers especially on mealtime hours. The food has change since I first tried inasal. The chicken was so dry , the unique taste was gone. The rice they serve was so bad that you could say NFA rice is better. Maybe because of the large demand. They are the cheapest unli rice joint I know, so maybe thats the reason. I even tried other outlets but still the same. The chicken got smaller and it was not as delicious as before. I know that it's not just me who notices these changes but since most people like quantity than quality they still choose to eat here. Hope's its get better because I really want inasal.

Mang Inasal restaurant in Session road (Baguio city) has a low quality of services (dirty folks and spoons, long waiting, the attitude of employees had problems and made us uncomfortable). I think you guys should choose Mang Inasal restaurant near SM (Baguio city). It's much better.

The food service crews are fast. Food choices are always available too. We prefer dining outside their resto, the ambiance is cozy and fresh. They also make sure that it's always clean.

    1. The staff exhibited rudeness, including eye-rolling, when we requested order changes due to a mistake. The cashier, displaying disinterest, also murmured in Ilocano. 2. The Sago and Gulaman ordered had a sour taste, prompting our attempt to change the order. However, the staff attempted to justify the unusual taste, contrary to the expected flavor for that particular item. 3. While we acknowledge any mistakes on our part, the staff's response was excessively passive-aggressive in nature.

👍👍 Ate here everyday that we were in Baguio because we love the home-cooked style. Plus the price is definitely a great selling point Highly recommend their chicken (tastes good even without any sauce) and their cinnamon twists (100 times better than Starbucks' cinnamon roll).
