This old mansion along Leonard Wood is hard to miss. Too bad it's still close to public when we visited December 2021. But it's always worth taking a quick snap at night hoping someone or something will decide to join and photobomb your pictures.

Laperal is now closed for public viewing. Then, you can visit the place with a fee. I hope in the future, they would again open the house for public viewing. As for the house, I like how it was made. The furnishings, the arrangement, it is a good house. As for now, the surroundings have not been maintained. I hope, they restore the house to it's original beauty.

Love the service and the food. When I reserved for dinner, I put the list of our names and our food. And when we arrived the servers knew our names and our orders. It was a good experience. We had a very delicious and satisfying 3-course meal. The halibut was good and the desserts. Afterwards, we had a quick tour of the house. It’s good that the historic property with a chilling past has a new purpose.

The Laperal White House is easy to see along Leonard Road, just beside the Teachers’ Camp. The house is infamous because of its many horror stories. Some horrified passersby have seen a little girl standing motionless on the staircase at the house's front. Some have seen a woman looking out its windows. Some have heard voices that seemed like having confrontations and loud noises from inside the place even when it was empty. Others have claimed they had this awful feeling of being watched. The guards are also terrified to be there at night.

The place is used to be famous as a haunted house due to its thrilling historical background. However, this white house is now converted into a restaurant so you can dine here unlike before that all you can do is to stare the house from the street.

Too bad museum was closed and we couldn't go inside. However, still attracts visitors and tourists. Hoping this place would be open when we return.

White House - It's old and many people believe that this house is haunted. At one time, we had a gig at its basement when our club, the Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club celebrated its 50th anniversary and we really had much fun. Whatever people believe in, this is one place in Creative Baguio that showcases various forms of crafts and art forms made of bamboo. A Bamboo Museum is (was) also housed at the old Laperal Building which is more known as #BaguioHauntedHouse #CordilleraBamboo

Being repurposed as an upscale dining establishment, Laperal White House once again became a landmark place to visit in Baguio. The restaurant is still on its wobbly legs when it comes to service and the food is a bit disappointing. We were surprised by its reservation-only set up thinking that it may offer something to justify such panache. However, it was severely limited by what ingredients are available and what the Filipino clientele wants. Thereby limiting what the Chef could offer. Did not bother to take pictures after the salad when it turned out to be unimaginative.

The service was amizing the staff is super amizing also .. The food was good but I expected it to be better. We was two and we pay 3K. The place also was nice and imagin you are eating on that victorian style house completed at 1930. I had good experience in that place but i don't know if i will back or, they have small menu and some items were not available. 3 of 5.

The house was renovated, now a dining place. Not creepy looking anymore. Still to try the restaurant on my next visit as it was fully booked and can’t accommodate walk in when we went.

The house is said to be one of the oldest house in Baguio City. It is popularly known as the Laperal Haunted House because of the numerous stories of the paranormal that occured here. Today it was opened to the public to showcase bamboo arts and crafts.

As of Jan 2023: I read that remodeling was completed and it has reopened as a fine dining restaurant called Joseph's Oct 2022 - clearly undergoing extensive renovation. Outside is fenced off and scaffolding seen on the entire front.

The house is cozy and artistic as well as the designs inside the house. There are a lot of bamboo artworks inside the house. I wanted to go back in this place. I feel like a connection in here. When I was at the attic of this house, I feel something eerie in it. But something about this place can't be explained. Anyway its a nice place to check on it. Designs in the house was great. Hope it will open soon to the public.

  • 2/5 Gilbert V. 5 years ago on Google
Situated along Leonard Wood and urban legend tells a story of ghost appearances in the white mansion. Several internet sites claimed that the house was built in the pre-war era and was used as a garrison by the Japanese. At present, the property is now owned by Lucion Tan and was transformed into an art gallery.
