Perfect way to cap our Baguio trip - with a cup of hot chocolate! Place is rather popular, as it was packed on a Sunday afternoon with a 30-min waiting time. Their hot chocolate comes in a variety of blends, and best paired with bibingka.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. The taste of the beef caldereta, grilled pampano, broccoli in garlic, and pork sinigang were to our standards. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the taste of the traditional blend choco-late drink, but ok for the experience nonetheless. Parking was difficult, but we managed to get a slot within 15 minutes. Same can be said about the queue for seating. Overall, would recommend. A must-try when in Baguio.

There is always a wait here but it moves quickly, food is good, generous serving, if you like old school hot chocolate drink in a cold and nice place then this is a good place to have a hot cocoa. Ample parking space, service is fast. Staff are friendly. Price ₱₱₱

Recommendable 👌 Great ambiance. Accommodating crew. You wouldn't notice time while dining within the plants and the tree walls. Relaxing vibe 👍 Parking is a bit tight because they preserved the trees and you would have to work your way around it. It is within our favorite place in Baguio, Camp John Hay. 👍 Price: it is okay given that it is in a very exclusive and wonderful place but the taste of the food is just Ok, nothing really special. Would I recommend it? YES Would we come back? Yes

We went here Friday evening before closing time. There are just few people dining at that time. This place is packed most of the time especially lunch time and weekends. Ordered the traditional, strawberry and mint hot chocolate which are all good. Service is fast and the servers were nice. The place really looks magical especially at night with all the lights turned on.

Since were in Baguio, we decided to try this place. It was just a 17min drive going there from where we are staying. Parking is accessible, we were seated immediately upon arrival. We went there around 4pm so it is a merienda treat, we wanted to try a few of what they serve, so we got the suman, palabok, turon drizzled in choco syrup, which I am very delighted as it satisfied my taste, the arrozcaldo and tokwat baboy was okay as expected of them, then we tried their signature original blend hot choco drink. I can say that I was not a fan of it, it was okay but not something that I will really come back to. But so far the overall experience was good. The place is cozy and has an enthic vibe.

I totally enjoyed my first visit in this place more than five years ago. I was expecting the same experience I had then on my last visit just last week. Of course, you have to wait. The staff mentioned right away that there might be inconveniences because parts of the area were being renovated, and that all food items will be served in take-out containers, even though you’re dining in. It was a rainy afternoon so I thought it’s a good time for hot chocolate. It was okay, but I was missing the same vibes I’ve had before. We strolled in the nearby woods after.

I’m not a fan of their hot chocolate. I prefer the hot chocolate of cafe by the ruins when you are in baguio. Though their coffee is good. Place was under renovation when we went their. Customer service and staff are friendly, kudos to all of them.

Food is great but there’s a long queue. There are also a lot of things that are not available during our visit. Comfort rooms are far from being clean. Although, the dining area is cute and unique.

The moment I took the first sip, I was enveloped in a rich, velvety embrace of pure chocolate goodness. The hot chocolate was luxuriously thick and had an intense cocoa flavor that wasn't overly sweet, allowing the true essence of the chocolate to shine. It was a warming delight on a chilly day. What sets Hot Chocolate apart is the attention to detail in its preparation. The milk was steamed to perfection, creating a silky texture that complemented the chocolate beautifully. It was topped with a dollop of whipped cream that added a delightful contrast of creaminess. Hot Chocolate is a must-try for any chocolate enthusiast. While the food may not always hit the mark, their hot chocolate is undeniably one of the best you can find. It's a comforting, indulgent treat that will warm your soul, one velvety sip at a time.

Chocolate de Batirol is inside Camp John Hay. We were able to get in at John Hay easily because we had the health certificate from the triage. Batirol has long lines early in the morning! They’re good for a heavy breakfast but since we realize there will be a lot of people, we decided to eat at our place and decided to take out our chocolate drinks. Very minimal space for parking, we parked more than 300 m away from the restaurant. It was a bit of a long walk but was a good walk with the fresh air and limited car pollution. We walked a bit around the area without people and more trees and grass. It was a refreshing feeling to drink hot chocolate in front of pine trees!

They have a lot of for repair and excuse. Their gcash and other online payment terminal is out of order, their batirol ice is also not available because their machine is for repair, and even their swing is for repair. Their service water is also not available. Anyway, have to go out again to withdraw cash. Good thing is the ambiance… is good and its in the middle of the forest. Its also good they have fast service because the food arrived fast. It is also compensated by good tasting food

Loved the traditional chocolate de batirol! Pairing it with suman made it a lot better. The place was very authentic and very fitting for the concept. Waiters and receptionists are also very nice. Comfort room was spacious. Location is a bit far from the city proper but definitely worth the ride.

Food is okay. But the Batirol chocolate is so-so. Over rated based from social media posts. You are better off with the premium tablea from Davao.

We arrived here looking forward to their signature batirol and it was so-so. It needs a bit more time on mixing to make it more smoother I guess. Their bibingka was ok but their palabok was good. They have a lot of servers and they are all attentive. In terms of atmosphere, it was surrounded with wood and plantation which I think blends with the overall theme of john hay. My only gripe is that there could be a lot of mosquito lurking. Parking was ok during our weekday visit. After having your dose of hot choco, you can have a stroll with your love ones on the nearby pine forest.

Went here for late lunch and still took us 30 minutes to get a table. I recommend going early if you want a table at once. Service was good and quick most of the time despite there being a lot of people. Food was good. Menu was typical Filipino food giving you a vibe of nostalgia. Had the pork kare kare, pork sinigang, sisig, and chopsuey topped with liempo. Sisig would have been better if it was on a sizzling plate. Everything else hit the spot and portions were pretty big.

An intimate and cozy place. There are lots of food options but we only tried some brunch. Top tier: Arrozcaldo. We all loved it, serving size is good for 1 person, with generous toppings. Definitely loved the Tsokolate Batirol. Go for the regular one for the bitter-y flavor, choose the one with mallows for a tinge of sweetness. Bibingka is a great pair. Service people are warm and accommodating. Very attentive and friendly. The wait time for the food is not that long. Great for couples, family, and groups of friends. We visited around brunch time on a Monday and there were just enough people to fill the place.

The hot chocolate here is truly authentic and among the best I've had. However, the rest of the food menu falls short in comparison. Opted for the bibingka, but it turned out rather dry. The focus on improving the overall menu could elevate the dining experience.

We went to Batirol for the first time last December 23 and it was an amazing experience. I was not having a voice and the waiter who took our order proactively offered hot water, he even included few calamsi. Food tasted so good and chocolate drink was heavenly delicious. Will definitely visit again next time we go to Baguio. No pictures for the food though, we were so hungry by the time we dine😅

It's very good to have merienda here. The tsokolate batirol was thick and creamy while their kakanins were freshly cooked. Serving sizes were also good enough for the price.

When in Baguio: a visit for a comforting mug of hot chocolate is a must. :) Love the instagrammable ambiance. The garden setting is very relaxing. Staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. Food is homey, and portion is enough for one. There was a long queue when we got there but managed to be given a table after a few minutes of waiting. There was just one working bathroom during our visit and there were some mosquitoes in the garden area since we stayed towards dinner time. But other than that, it was an enjoyable experience.

A must visit for a comforting mug of hot chocolate! We Love the instagrammable ambiance. The garden setting is very relaxing. Staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. We love the alfresco set up catching up with friends with a lot of laughter

I was surprised that Choco-late de Batirol exceeds my expectations. We purposely came here because I really wanted to taste the food. To tell you honestly, I wasnt expecting much because I thought that people come here mainly because of the vibe — the alfresco dining and of course the atmosphere/ambience. But well I am wrong. I am totally in complete shocked when I had a bite of the food it was flavorful and they have big serving. My friend and I thought we were not able to finish our food. We ordered the grilled pampano and the Baguio veggies to complement the rice. And afterwards we were served their infamous batirol. I am really happy I came here. They have spots where you can take a photo. Staff are attentive and courteous. The bathroom are clean. I want to go back here.

PWD and kids stroller friendly inside the restaurant , breakfast is served on certain hours only. Even with the waiting time on getting a table the orders still arrived within acceptable waiting time. Service is good and servers were available every time you need assistance. Their palabok is good except for the chicharon toppings used. Overall food was kids and senior approved . Was here before 14yrs ago and now still glad they serve food together with my favorite choco drinks.

Ambiance: Chill and laid back Price: Acceptable given the location. Service charge is 7% of your total bill as of 2023/12/11. Location: Not public transport accessible. If you brought car with you, it’s better. Service: Not fast, not slow. Understandable if you went here for breakfast. Payment: Cash and Credit Card. I also saw Maya sign there. Not sure if they accept Paymaya or they use Maya POS. Highly recommended you to try the traditional chocolate drink. It has a hint of peanuts.

Just came here to try their most famous hot chocolate and it was really good! It has a unique taste! And we loved it! Also added a plate of palabok and it was good too. It was tasty and had the right amount of sauce.

Great food, quick service despite the holiday rush, rejuvenating atmosphere. You have to order the chocolate ASAP since they make it to order and can take a bit long, especially with large orders. We had 7, and they took over 20 minutes.

The restaurant has many customers, even if it's only 11 am. The serving of the food is fast even though there are many customers. It took less than 10 minutes to serve the food. The hot chocolate didn't disappoint. It's worth it. But I'm not too fond of the bibingka. This kind of bibingka is a cake. It's not made from glutinous flour.

👍👍 Famous for their Cream Puffs, but was not available. We had Sinigang which was really good and their buttered chicken which was okay. Service was amazing, there was a 'bot' serving the food and the service crew are always available to help. Great way to start your Baguio vacation

😠 I will be honest... the food was alarmingly terrible. I wish I were exaggerating, or had a better experience to write about.
