I have been booking for cheap hotels for experience and getting their lowest room rate. This is one of the worst I’ve been to. Check the photos of the toilet and the window. I got the basement room without A/C. You cant open the window because the screen is broken. Its a little bit hot but good thing you can request for a fan. The funny thing about this room is the layout of the cubicle. I also find it hard to use the flush. The buffet dishes are fine, nothing special except that you are eating on a rooftop with the cold Baguio breeze. Overall, not happy with my stay even I booked the cheapest room

It's a short walk to Sm Baguio & Baguio Cathedral from the hotel. There was no bidet, slow wifi, slow elevator but I liked that they were very upfront and very honest about it from the start before we made our reservations. Very courteous staff, delicious buffet, and nice rooms. I wished that the blankets would've been thicker or that they just provided some comforter sheets. Nevertheless it was a good place to stay.

Late that night when we heard irritating noises and we did not have a good night's sleep. It is supposedly a resting night for the busy and tiring day we had since I went to school and had to finish my errands. The rooms are also not that clean. However, their place for meals is relaxing since it is semi-open. They also have a cafe inside and just near the entrance which is a thumbs up for me. The next time we visited the place, We had a samgyup day with my best friends and sisters. It was below what I expected but overall it was good. Then, we came the 2nd time and it was great that we had to get things on our own compared to our last visit which did not turn out well. We also ordered their frappe which is a yes for me and will order again next time. Anyways, the side dishes are mouth-watering, and came out of the place satisfied. I would love to go again to the place to have a samgy date with my family and friends. Definitely recommend this place for you guys to try out and don't forget their cafe. Adios!

It would have been a 5 Star if they didn't lose my car key/key fob. And they only informed me about my missing key when I was about to leave and had to put some groceries inside my car. To think that they already know my key was missing but thry didn't look for it nor they did inform me it was missing. To think I extended my stay and got another night only to experience this. They were able to trace my key fob. And guess what, they gave it to another guest because we have the same car type and model. Good thing the other driver is in Baguio and they requested to have the key brought back to the hotel. That's a car you could have given away to someone else. I didn't even receive an apology.

Wifi is unusable. Only 3 power outlets to share for the entire room. Stains and exposed wires on the ceiling. Elevators dont work often. Very noisy, can feel the walls are thin. Hot water has no pressure. Beds are hard. AC is nice though.

**This review is only of the in-hotel restaurant!** Cash payments only or perhaps e-wallet options as well. Staff are extremely friendly and service is prompt. Stopped by for a bite to eat and coffee on a Sunday morning about 8am. The restaurant was open and serving. The chef offered to make me pancakes - and did. Fluffy and slightly sweet, served with butter and syrup on the side along with several slices of bacon. I added two sunny-side up eggs that were cooked perfectly. Visited a second time and didn't see the chef offering special Western-style breakfasts. I opted for a pork belly with egg and rice dish and it worked pretty well. Simple and tasty. Good, solid food at a reasonable price.

    * For those who wanted smart tv, bidet equipped toilet, peace and quiet room, this is not the hotel for you. Stayed for a night, The room smells moldy ( I thought it's normal since we're in baguio due to humid climate), toilet has no bidet and noises coming from the upper floor and outside due to construction. The other problem I've encountered is the elevator and the door lock. There are two of them, but only one is operational, and according to a review a month ago, we have the same problem, only 1 operational elevator. About the door lock, we got locked inside, called it in, and the maintenance told us to just force it and it opened when we got back to the room keycard doesn't work and go back to the reception and got it fixed. The only pros of the hotel are the location and their breakfast buffet, which is located at the Penthouse. The breakfast buffet is available at 7 am to 10 am.

Only book this place if you want the convenience of being near some commonly known attractions/places. (Burnham, Porta Vaga, SM Baguio) It is understaffed. Parking is minimal. Arrived at 11 am for 2 pm check in time and still had to wait. Booking confirmation through agoda is basically useless. Although room was already paid in advance. Check in process is disorganized. More than an hour of waiting just for providing IDs and filling out of an information sheet (which could have been streamlined to be online) Rooms are spacious, with very stiff beds, and super thin walls wherein you can hear everything from the next room’s TV to kids to whatever they are doing. Bathroom is spacious, looks old, no bidet and no exhaust fan so smells easily dissipate into room. Wifi is slow.

I used to stay here everytime I'm in Baguio because of its location. But my last stay makes me reconsider. The staff are not friendly and helpful. I always greet them hi and hello but I rarely get a response or even a smile. During my check in, I was carrying 3 heavy luggages and my room is in the 3rd floor. I took the stairs because it's taking too long for the elevator. The staff just stare at me while I'm carrying all my heavy baggages. On my 1st night, there are loud people on the hallway at 2am... and on my last night, somebody is dragging furnitures above my room. I called the front desk but nothing happend.

The Eat-All-You-Can Samgyeopsal at the Citylight Hotel penthouse is kinda new so I wasn't surprised when the choices for Samgyeopsal was limited. Although, I do have to say that the meat quality is higher than expected. The side dishes were also good. Kudos to the Bokkeumbap although the taste was a bit mild, it would have been better with more kimchi and some bits of meat. The last spicy pork I ordered was a bit chewy but I think that's because our portable stove ran out of butane and we were almost done so I didn't bother them replacing it. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this while it last. First time I've been at the penthouse and leaving not drunk.

Not the best hotel I've ever stayed in, but certainly not the worst either. Service is good, but all of the rooms are VERY basic. No frills here, and the rooms we had were lacking in maintenance. The bed mattresses are also very hard, and are like sleeping on concrete slabs. You will also wait quite a while on the elevator. We opted for the stairs a few times during our stay. The samgyupsal buffet upstairs is probably the star of the show in this building. The little bakery near the lobby is also great!

Issues: Elevator, staff, buffet. The queue for the elevator is frustrating. There are 2 elevators but only 1 is active for guests since the other one is manually operated supposedly for cleaning services and trollies. But the staff end up also using the guest elevator for everything because they cant be bothered fetching the service elevator. So in most cases the guest elevator is filled with staff members and baggage trolly so the guests end up taking the stairs, or waste time waiting. And when you do finally get the chance to use the elevator, everyone is basically cramped inside, which is annoying considering that theyre very strict with their anticovid protocol even calling you out in the dinning area when you move around to get food without your mask. Using the stairs isnt a big problem but if you have seniors, toddlers, you can expect a lot of time wasted waiting for the elevator. Also, they dont allow you to charge anything to your room, like when we took the stairs (because of the elevator issue) to the roofdeck for the breakfast buffet then when we got there, they billed my 5yo daugthter but i had to settle the bill first and they refused to charge to my room so I had to take the stairs down to get cash and take the stairs back up again. My daughter just ate 1 small pancake. Also, if youre familiar with the old bfast buffet, youll be disappointed to know that the new one is not as good. Although in fairness, they lowered the price for walkins. But I used to checkin so I can invite friends over as walkins for bfast... not anymore. When we checked out, we took the stairs again (because of the elevator issue) and when we surrendered the key, they were looking for the acknowledgement receipt for the cash deposit. It's annoying because they have your ID and everyone is required to pay the deposit. But, again i had to go up the stairs and look for the receipt from our trash and again stairs going down--its not like they have to check if you paid the deposit or not since everyone is required to pay and they already have your details. All in all, it's still reasonably priced, and the rooms are okay. But too many inconviniences that add up to an unpleasant experience.

I recently went to the cafe at City Light's Hotel and had a mixed experience. The baked goods were really good. They had a nice selection, and everything I tried was delicious. It's a great place if you're looking for tasty pastries or cakes. However, I was not happy with the drinks. I ordered an Okinawa Milk Tea, and it took a long time to arrive. When it finally did, I found a lot of unmixed powder in it. It seemed like it wasn't mixed properly, which was disappointing. Overall, good for baked goods, but the drinks could be better.

Poorly designed rooms, poor quality bedding, and unprofessional cheap policies. The pros: THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL, they are friendly, polite, responsive, and accommodating. The service was flawless. The breakfast buffet is also excellent if you like asian breakfast. They have a rotating variety of really good Filipino dishes with all the right condiments and plenty of breads and even blinis. The cons: rooms aren’t that nice, the bathroom has no exhaust fan, vent or window. THERE IS NO BIDET, NOT EVEN A BUCKET WITH A SCOOP. This is crazy in a country that depends on water to clean after using the restroom. The bed is hard. THE “DUVET” IS AWFUL; it is a cheap thin blanket between two sheets and to make matters worse they don’t fully cover the blanket so in my case my feet had to touch the exposed blanket. Then they also charged us 200 pesos to use a second blanket, which is insane. The blanket wasn’t even worth 200 pesos new! No outlets near the bed and the only light switch is by the door. Basically over priced for what you get.

Me and my family stayed here this December 2023 for business and some side trips for leisure. We decided to stay here because it was recommended by a friend. We booked the Deluxe Room with Aircon in Agoda for 3 nights. We arrived at around 5am on a weekday so there is a lot of parking space. The guard greeted us so nicely and warmly and assisted us to the lobby area. We had first breakfast and paid around 300+ for their buffet since it is not yet covered in our stay. Since a lot of people lined up in the elevator, we used the stairs to go up. It is located at the topmost floor. The food selection is pretty basic but for the price it is worth it... I think? The served carbonara, pancit, hotdogs, two types of egg, pancakes, two variants of fruits, dried fish, adobong manok, rice, soup, one kind of juice, coffee, salad station. We headed back to the lobby and since our check-in time is 2pm, we have a lot of free time in between. We left our luggages in guard area and left to explore session road as it is 5 to 10 minutes hike. Yes, hike! But the hotel is near in Baguio Cathedral and SM! The location is prime! If you need some items to buy a Family Mart and 7/11 is near as well. Let me tell you about the room. The receptionist handed us one room key, wifi password, breakfast buffet stub and a paper with a list of things that you will have to pay if you want extras like towels. Our room is located at 4th floor. The room itself is spacious but the two beds are just Twin beds! Not to mention the matter is on the tough side and the pillow that we got is too flat. Good thing we brought our fluffy pillows. Our view is facing a construction site so we decided to just close the window. They have a long table which you can work. Also, they have a table for your luggage. Now the shower room. One deal breaker for me when booking a hotel is bidet. This hotel DO NOT HAVE BIDETS! So, we had to improvise. The showers water pressure is weak. During our 2nd to 3rd day. The parking situation is HELL! Because it is a long weekend and we understand that this is tourist, I just didn't expected to park near the street. Good thing they asked us to leave the keys to the guards. PROS: - Prime Location. Near: SM, Session Rd, Baguio Cathedral. - Good Staff - If you will not use the bfast stub, we will got a free bread and water - Water Heater Kettle is provided. CONS: - Parking on Weekends/Holidays - No Bidet - Weak water pressure - Tough and Small Beds

Location of this hotel is very good very close to SM,upper session rd. Staff was super friendly. I enjoyed the morning breakfast and Samyeopsal at night both buffet. Our niece celebrated her 18th birthday here too! We had a blast of a party.Thank you for the wonderful experience.

I love the bar. Lol. Good array of choices for both food and drink. Reasonable prices. They sometimes run out of ice tho, so best just talk to the staff so they can make accommodations. Fun place!

The shower pipe was leaking, no bidet, the floors were disgustingly dirty when we checked in the first day, the TV’s remote was not working, the buffet wasn’t a very nice experience as well since we had to line up but thats my own preference. Inspite of the cons, the staff members and the hospitality officers were very friendly helpful and nice

  • 5/5 Eileen 7 months ago on Google
Great price for the room with balcony. The breakfast buffet apparently is a highlight with rice, pancakes, bread and cakes even. At one point, there was even a piano player in the lobby, so that was sweet. Top of session and down the side a few dozen meters. Fairly easy to get a taxi if you just walk to the corner. The bathroom just doesnt have an exhaust so it always has this kulob smell.

One of the worst customer service experience I ever had. I called to book they said they accept walk in and I reached the hotel they took ID saying they will call my name. I stayed waiting for freaking 1 hr and I checked with them why it’s taking long and they replied we give priorities to reserved.. it’s a freaking simple rules if u have a room Say we have and here is ur name and no need to let someone wait for hrs and in the end we give priorities for the one who reserved… it made me feel we r in cheapest lowest hotel who don’t have system in place… no way I’m coming back to this hotel even if it’s for free. Management should look into their employees skills and train them. If the option of no star score avail I will give that to this hotel… in the end we got 2 rooms, the worst part no ac and toilet flash not working haha

Paid our 1 night reservation for Deluxe room today April 30, 2023 and was he rooms are located on the 3rd flr upto 5th flr. Then we left because chk-n time is 2pm. When we chk-n we were asked if we want a 1 bed instead of twin beds. I opted for 1 bed because I was with my husband. Then they told me the room is on the 2nd flr. So I was frustated thinking ofvthe view for the 3rd flr. And the bed didn't have the standard length. It's kids bed.

Worst hotel we’ve ever booked. Booked multiple rooms in advance, on arrival obviously gave our rooms to others and wound up getting different rooms with 3 of them old cold smelly basement rooms. Tried to get by but within less than an hour decided we can’t stomach it, went to front desk and requested to be transferred to a more suitable rooms. Told to pay for an upgrade fee. After the aggravation they caused by giving our original booked rooms to others, you’d think they ought to upgrade us sans fee as compensation for the aggravation. But front desk employee just unwilling and unremorseful. We were tired after a long trip and just want to be able to rest so we just paid the fee. Said only two rooms available but then later after we paid for two and again asked to inform us if another room becomes available she said there’s one more available. Unsure why she didn’t give that to us in the first place. And on this day being a holiday they charged twice as much as regular rate too, yet not worth the rooms we had. Finally got that done after a while. Later requested a food we ordered for one of our company be delivered to the room but they refused and said they just don’t do that and we have to do it ourselves. Following day as we were waiting to check out we politely asked one staff to take our group pictures but were told she can’t do it and will have to asked her boss first so we said never mind. Simple requests but obviously this hotel and staff seriously lacks in good customer service and tact. Rooms aren’t really worth the price, uncomfortable and no bidet in bathroom. Terrible Wifi, TV, rooms, worst customer service. Buffet breakfast nothing really worth mentioning. Definitely won’t be back and definitely not recommended.

The only good thing about the hotel is the accessibility. The room is so,so.. no aircon but you can request an electric fan. AC rooms are in the 3rd floors - but not all. During this summer months Mar, Apr, May aircon is a must. Toilet still has no bidet. Windows have no screen so you'll be seeing some insects 🤣🤣 plus noises from either the busy streets, the construction or from the church. Breakfast is still buffet. Both serving in penthouse level and groundfloor. Food is ok. Wifi is tolerable 😁 but much faster at the lobby. Some staffs are nice not all... esp in the frontdesk 😅 I also had difficulty contacting the frontdesk to inquire - especially after paying them. Arrived 12noon but we had a late check-in at 2.30pm because the hotel was full. Check in time is 2pm. Really crowded during weekends!! By the time we got our keys our other room is still not ready 🤣🤣

We didn't really stay at the hotel but it looks excellent. There's a buffet lcated at the rooftop. There's a coffee shop at the entrance, ground floor. Food was okay, cool place to just sit and wait or pahangin lang. May al fresco and tables sa loob.

Advantages Location wise - walking distance to session road, SM, bus terminal, burnham and other city proper attraction Food - breakfast buffet is delicious and unlimited; commendable Facility - clean, spacious and has a good view in the LOBBY area, stairs are spacious also TV - big screen w/ netflix and cable Disadvantages Room - I booked a superior room and expected a double bed but the room offers 2 single beds and we had to combine 2 beds; this was not mentioned in agoda so I requested a large bed online to be sure yet they still provided us room with 2 single beds. Staff and booking - connected with my bed request, I also requested a higher floor but they did not confirm nor communicate with me if my request is available; I booked this 2 weeks before my stay Facilty - THE ROOM was not that fully clean when we checked in, there was hair strands and dust on the floor; placement of the TOILET in the bathroom was improper (in front of the lavatory?!) You can hear all HALLWAY NOISES because of maybe thin wall. ELEVATOR - they have 2 but only 1 is working and the staff share elevator with the guests! Since they have only 1 working elevator, you need to wait longer, so we had to use the stairs to get to our room faster. Superior room is located in the basement floor. Room Service - we left the sign for MUR request in the morning, when we came back in the evening, the room remained uncheck. Though they offer replenishment , that was not a good expi for us guests.

A grim Christmas Dinner... This hotel has the worst hospitality services offered. My family booked for a Christmas dinner for 20+ persons but this hotel won't care to let us park one car despite our large group because we're not checked in. The Security Guards has no hospitality training. We appreciate the gesture of the restaurant manager but cold lechon wont compensate how your security guards made us feel so unwelcoming, cold and almost disrespectful. I don't recommend this hotel who doesn't know who and when to prioritise. This hotel has nothing but reasons and blames thier policy and management for thier incompetence. Might as well spend your money somewhere else where your valued and cared for than stay with this close to town hotel with rotten management styles and incompetent staff.

All the staff are friendly and accommodating but their room service is only from 8am to 5pm only. Their bathroom doesn't have a bidet and it takes 10-15 mins for the hot water to come out from the shower. The buffet is open from 7am to 10am with a very nice view from the pent house.
