Stayed for 2 nights here in late 2017. I booked online at the last minute while I was on the bus going to Baguio. I got to the hotel past midnight and the first thing I noticed when I was being led to my room by a staff was how dimly lit the corridor of my floor was. Since it was an old hotel, it seemed a bit creepy. The room was OK, bed was fine. Aircon was also working properly, as well as the TV. Bathroom though was also dimly lit. It had fluorescent lighting and I think the diffuser was kinda old and already cloudy so the light couldnt pass through. Again, this made the bathroom creepy. Add to that, the sink was clogged. I didn't want to be bothered with calling the staff so I just settled with the faucet in the shower area. Didn't the staff notice that the sink was clogged when they cleaned the bathroom after the previous guest? Poor maintenance. Another thing that I didn't like about this hotel was that on my second night I decided to go to the night market near Burnham Park. I also stayed out late to enjoy the evening air and see the city's night life. Past midnight I suddenly got a call from a number that I wasn't familiar with, which I did not answer because I normally do not answer unknown callers. This was very odd and made me a little concerned because I was alone in Baguio and somebody was calling me past midnight. The following day was my check-out date, and I got a text from the front desk informing me of my check out time. I realized that the text message was from the same number that called me the night before. When I was checking out, I told the staff about this, I asked why they were calling me last night. The staff member just laughed and didn't answer my question. Weird.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the exquisite Golden Pine Hotel in Baguio, and I must say it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This hidden gem of a hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, offering a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped into the grand lobby, I was greeted by the friendly and professional staff who made me feel instantly welcome. The check-in process was swift and efficient, ensuring a hassle-free start to my stay. The hotel's elegant and tasteful decor immediately caught my attention, creating an ambiance of sophistication and charm.

Pros: - Excellent location. Only 450m from Burnham Park. Also roughly 200m from one of the most popular eats in Baguio: Good Taste (though be prepared to be part of a massive queue during peak hours). - Hotel exterior does not look like much at all but the interiors are surprisingly very clean and well maintained - All their staff were friendly - Food is a bit pricey but otherwise delicious. My wife and I love the breakfast tapa! - Some of the rooms had wall paintings of cartoon characters which my little one loved. The room itself was clean. The restroom was quite spacious and the shower had heated water available. - My toddler received a farewell gift from the front desk upon check-out Cons: - Some of the rooms may be right across a night club (looked like one) so it can get a bit noisy at night. It didn't bother me much but other guests might. - The biggest con in my opinion is their lack of parking space. They have a basement parking but it can only fit 10 to 11 vehicles at any one time. You'll have to surrender your keys to the valet in case the other vehicles would need to leave and your car is blocking the exit due to the lack of parking space. All in all, for the cost of a room here, it was still definitely worth it and I'd consider coming back here again in the future.

Location is great, however disappointed with some few factors. I booked a room for four which is preferred for families on their website, but there's only two single bed in the room so expect your kids to sleep on the floor. Partly my fault as I didn't read thoroughly before booking, I was expecting for a pull out bed atleast. #2 it says free breakfast when booking, however it wasn't clear that kids are excluded and have to pay extra. I wish they can state this clearly on their booking site to avoid surprises on extra charges for the travellers. Also, there are no kids option on the menu, paid 250php for a ham and TWO SLICES of bread. #3 you can clearly hear noise from the hallway so if you are sensitive to noise, you might consider this when booking. Nonetheless, staff are excellent!

The location is accessible to all. Television is working and has a cleared channel you can enjoy while staying at your room. Rooms are good and clean. With free toiletries so you won't need to bring your own. Shower is good and it functions well. They have cold and hot water at the shower. Water heater is provided at the room, slippers are provided too. Near to burnham park (walking distance) and to the night market. Comfortable rooms.

The hotel is nice and clean. Pressure of the shower is good and temperature of the hot water is perfect. Cable is not clear, but we did not use TV much. Air conditioning works and very cold if you want it cold. The best part of this hotel is its closeness to the Burnham park, museum, good restaurants, bus terminal, and the SM mall.

There were roaches in the room and the washroom. The theme for the hotel was a nice touch. But roaches and bugs? Nope. It's like any regular hotel you can find.

My family and I are heading to Baguio City and stay there for Christmas last yesterday, and We going to stay at this hotel. At first, I was little curious about this place, but overtime as we enter any rooms each time we visit, they're plenty of cool references that makes a room alot comfortable to stay with...even if its only a day or two. I'll be complete honest, This hotel is definitely a good place to stay in! 8.5/10

This place was very accessible, vibrant and superb at making their guests speechless. My inner child went through as I saw their "Superverse CafΓ©", I saw vast amounts of collections. The staff were friendly and were quick at responses.

Very accomodating staffs, friendly bodyguard, food even though we aren't able to order them all, top notch to our taste, room is enough for 2 people, even though we have three in ours, still, enough space to move around, their system overall is great, they will notify you when they suspect a car thief, happened to us, bec. we have two cars convoy and when they noticed that one of our car had started, they thought that it's a potential theft, but fortunately it's not, they are uninformed that we have the other car parked in their basement, lol. Downsides are: Cabinet no locks, but didn't stop us to let them clean our room while we're away, our things are in their place as it should be, they just clean the floor, and the c.r., fixed our beds and changed our towels, basement parking is a little hassle, bec. you will be notified if there's another car leaving, and you must move yours to let them pass, our c.r. at first has this odor of can't be resolved, maybe it's the exhaust. But in conclusion? One of the best hotel we've got bec. it just right around the corner of the Burnham park!! Like a 3 min. walk, sooo convinient if you're looking for a hotel with a cheap price but great service, and the location nonetheless. 4/5 will recommend ;)

I have never checked in at The Golden Pine Hotel, but this hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the city. I've been told upon visiting their restaurant, The Super Hero Verse Cafe that the hotel has been newly renovated. I was amazed by how clean and creative the Christmas decorations were. I also liked the paintings at the public comfort rooms. A definite place to stay in if you are in Baguio.

    1. Baby cockroaches in the bathroom. 2. AC unit is being controlled downstairs by the front desk clerk. And because of that, it’s hot in our room. I wanted to open the windows but it’s too loud outside. 3. Only 1 toilet paper and no extra roll in the bathroom just in case you ran out and you can’t get off the seat to call housekeeping. So I don’t know.. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Please tell me, is my 7,900++ room for 2 nights worth it? 😏

Unable to sleep on our first night in the hotel. Room is not sound proof. We could hear the people singing in ktv and the cars on the street. Bed was uncomfortable because of bedsheet. We asked the front desk to change around 4 am because we really could not sleep. Good thing they agreed for it. The rooms are big. But it is an old hotel and kinda outdated.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They respond quickly to your requests. The room amenities are good. The air-conditioning and hot water was working fine. The cable TV also had a good selection of channels. I just wished they had HD channels. They provided bottled water, towels and toiletries. You can order Filipino or American type of breakfast. The food is tasty. You can hear the sounds from the function hall in your room. Fortunately the events lasted only until 11pm. Hopefully, the management will install sound proofing in their function hall, so that guests in hotel rooms won't be disturbed. There are lots of restaurants and shops near the hotel. It is also easy to get a taxi or ride a jeepney from and to the hotel. Thank you for the pleasant stay!

Stayed here during a Baguio visit. I chose this hotel because the website shows the rooms having bath tubs as per my little girls request. Was disappointed on arrival as all the tubs had been taken out of the hotel and replaced with shower cubicles. The rooms however were very nice and peaceful. The restaurant serves a simple menu of good food or you can just chill out here with a drink. The staff were eager to please. I would go back again.

Hotel is just a walking distance to restaurants, burnham and other establishments.. interior is clean, staffs are courteous and attentive. Food is good and served with a minimum waiting time. Rooms are spacious and clean.. the bed was just quite noisy whenever you move but overall, staying is comfortable and its something recommending.

Solid choice. Good location. P2700 a night. Clean, tastefully appointed room. Great mattress and linen. Breakfast is complimentary and decent. Just a few nits preventing it from getting five stars. Parking is insufficient and we were woken up by people speaking loudly outside window.

It never disappoint in terms of room design and size. Its lobby is not as astounding compared to other hotels in Baguio but their staff are warm and welcoming so you really would not mind the lobby. We are more than satisfied during our entire stay. We'll definitely come back and check in here again.
