I don’t understand what the hype was about. Waited more than 30 minutes to be seated and our orders served. Went there before 8PM. I tried the Chuka Soba Ramen, 320 pesos, noodles not consistently cooked through. I still tasted flour. The broth was underwhelming. The ramen had some menma, a piece of naruto, nori, and scallions. Chashu was good nonetheless. Tamago was sold separately (60 pesos) but was not available during the visit. Oh, I was not able to finish the broth bacause there were bone bits (Not certain what those hard stuff, but they looked like small bone pieces). Soup not properly sifted? Ordered Karaage, 200 pesos, imagine my disappointement when I saw it. See the picture. 4 small pieces laid in a bed of cabbage, that a one-piece chicken from Jollibee, is even bigger. So this is basically 50 pesos each. The size was not the end of it, mostly it was batter. The taste, meh. Price not worth it.

If meron magkwento sakin na ginawa to para gayahin yung sikat na ramen chain sa MM, maniniwala ako. (MR) Summary: it's a ramen place that only serve ramen. Imo it is priced good for what you get. Very limited parking area. Before coming here, I read some reviews to get some expectation. Basically it's a cheaper version (daw, based on reviews ) of the popular ramen in Metro Manila. I cannot say it is true since I do not know the updated price of ramen now but I would feel same lang. The shoyu ramen at time of writing is 380 pesos and walang egg na kasama. So we have to add 70 pesos for it making one ramen meal a total of 450 (for the basic offering). So I would say similar ballpark figure pricing, not cheaper. Overall experience is similar, you line up and pay for order. They also accept credit card. You wait to get seated. Not everything is cooked in front of you. Sides are prepared inside the kitchen. I order Shoyu Ramen. The noodles are okay. Broth is rich and tasty (similar rin dun sa reference Ramen in a way na masyadong rich). Good enough serving for one Tempura is so so. Forgettable, will not buy this again. Gyoza is also similar taste Pero wala yung crunchy texture. (I believe similar way of cooking since meron pa rin crust / wings yung gyoza). Side note: natuwa ako na at least mas mura ng 20 pesos yung 5pcs.

Place was clean but looked like a garage. We took the area at the back which had 5 tables of 4 people each. Pay as you order. No sharing and take out of ramen. Tonkatsu Shio (salt) and Shoyu (soy sauce) had excellent Chasyu pork slice. Thick and flavorful. I ate the Tsukemen with thick noodles. It had preserved radish but I missed the Bonito cubes it normally has. Just a bit cheaper than Yushoken. Not bad for a quick hunger pangs.

wanted to know what the hype was, while the ramen was not bad it wasn't particularly good either. many items on the menu was also unavailable during my visit. items were moderately priced and there were a few people ahead when we arrived

Saturday night, expect a queue outside, place is small. I had high expectations especially for the ramen. Chuka ramen was recommended but it was salty. I didn’t enjoy it. Everything else was good. They don’t serve ANY rice. They accept cards.

The place was very cozy and service was fast. We were given a warm towel for our hands which was appreciated since they didn't have a wash area. Noodles were still tough when it was served. Broth and meat tasted good enough. They give a decent serving of noodles on your bowl but they have this 'No Sharing of Ramen' policy. When our friend wasn't able to finish her ramen, that's when we learned that they also had a 'No Takeout' policy. Makes us wonder what they do to the leftovers since most of the bowls had some noodles left. Overall it's overpriced and unsustainable.

The steamy broth of Agara‘s noodles complements the breezy weather of Baguio. Like most ramen shops in Japan, Agara is a hole in the wall. The main door is just a few steps away from the table. As you sit and wait, entertain yourself by watching your order being prepared. Agara has been a favorite to locals and travelers alike. The staff puts their heart out to their food, and it’s evident with the long line of customers. Visiting here is like getting yourself into a waiting game. Unlike the city’s temperature, the staff members of this Baguio gem are warm. You can’t sense a sign of upset amid the rush of customers. Imagine pleasing your palate with their flavorful noodle soups as little evening raindrops fall outside. It’s that kind of moment you’d always want to experience while in Baguio.

Went here today 9/11/2022 around noon we had to wait for an hour to be seated and served. Its a 12 seating ramen restaurant (plus 5 at the back) where the chef does 7 ramen bowls at a time (because they can only cook 7 batches of noodle at a time). Their ramen process is meticulous and it pretty fun to watch while waiting. The broth of Chuka Soba is rich, a mix of beef-chicken-pork (tastes like so), the noodle unsure if it is their own or store bought but it is good cooked al dente. It does not come with an egg so you order extra. The wait, the line and everything else is bearable except the wait staff/server during the time of our visit that ruined the experience for us. She is very rude! Probably one of that cool restaurants you visit when in Baguio. You go for the ramen being prepared in front of you experience.

Agara Ramen's Tonkotsu Shio boasts savory flavors and well-prepared noodles, offering a satisfying experience. It's a solid choice, earning a commendable four-star rating for its tasty presentation.

Ticks all the box for premium quality bowl of ramen. The broth of the ramen was superb as it is very rich in taste with exploding flavours that goes very well together. Not only that but they have also large serving. The meat on the ramen is tenderly cooked and juicy. We have also ordered their wagyu cubes, which is very cute in size. They cook it in front of you, so you will notice how they handle your food. Very clean and the staff are amiable. Price is just right for the food prepared and your experience gained.

Your ramen option is not limited. The price is also reasonable and you get to see how your meal is prepared. We waited for more than an hour and there were other groups waiting with us. It should be open at 11 but they've officially let us in at 11:30. I just hope they open earlier and serve sushi too.

Such a great dining experience at Agara Ramen!! This is a gem in Baguio! The broth is sooo good! I thought the fish flavor will overpower the flavor but actually it complemented the pork and chicken broth of their best seller! Will definitely visit again! Didn’t take too much time waiting as I visited by myself. The wagyu side dish is also great!

LEGIT AND AUTHENTIC RAMEN PLACE IN BAGUIO! I ordered Miso Ramen and it was soooo flavorful! Tastes like the ramen I used to eat when I live in Japan for 2 years!!! The serving was gigantic. I was unable to finish my bowl because I am too full. Unfortunately, they do not allow to take out your leftover. 😞 The cook make the ramen in front of you and it was so amazing to watch. Sugoi! I was surprised how clean this place is.

I’m gonna make this brief; The ramen are great, and almost authentic Japanese, however the broth is too thick and overpowering to the point that you’ll end up drinking water every time you consume the ramen. The meat, on the other hand, was very tender and literally melted in my mouth, and that was a great treat for me. The wagyu pieces are really great, too. To conclude, if you’re looking for a very tasty ramen house in Baguio, I can recommend this restaurant, but you must drink as much as possible to wash your palate.

Best ramen I’ve tasted in the Philippines at it’s price point. The chef is definitely japanese. We’ll be back to taste other food listed on the menu. No point reviewing if you haven’t tasted ramen from Japan.

Truly authentic ramen place in Baguio! Ramen broths are indeed tasteful and reflect the efforts they put in in every bowl. Their OG ramen is something the Yushuken's of Manila won't be able to copy. Their space is small but will definitely give you a glimpse of a traditional ramen place in Japan. I would say their price point is fair but for those with deep appreciation to authentic ramen may actually find it cheaper. We'll definitely go back and recommend this resto to our friends.

Ramen is so good. The broth is so delicious, so tasty and thick. We tried their best seller the OG Ramen, Chuka Soba and Tantamen (which is so spicy). Also, tried their gyoza, nothing special, tho. Will definitely go back on our next visit to Baguio, to try other ramen and the famous Hitara Buns.

The best ramen in the Philippines!! Actually one of the best restaurants! Cute little hole in a wall location. They only have a few seats inside but so worth it if you have to wait. The chef put a lot of effort in our dishes and we still received our food quickly! Their service is great and they were very friendly. Definitely a must eat in Baguio City.

We ordered their signature dish and it was delicious, I like the ramen noodles . We also ordered their dumplings as a side dish but the dough wrap is too thick for me. You may have to be patient however during peak hours because there is a cue.

Dined here around 5pm to avoid crowd. We were given the option to sit at the extension or wait for seats inside the ramen bar. We chose the extension as we prefer a more quiet eating area. Service was fast. They even provide hot towels. There was a fixed service charge of 55 pesos. Their wagyu cubes is a must-try!

First time to dine here, was surprised that the place was really small, probably around 10 seats around the cooking/prepping area. It's pay as you order type of restaurant. The waiting staff are attentive. Tried Tantanmen which was really good and creamy. Wagyu beef cubes are bite size, maybe more or less 2cm^3, really good sauce. Tempura are small and not crisp. You can eat one in two bites. Gyoza was just okay. Would come back to try the other ramen options.

It was a bit of a wait (90 mins lol), but the food is worth it. Chuuka soba was really good and the broth was a unique taste. Noodles were perfect and had a good bite. The bun was a delightful surprise, it had a mix of a sort of bbq sauce and mayo, but the twist was in the addition of peanut powder. It made for a unique taste, which reminded me of Taiwanese food. The gyoza was the highlight of the meal for me (it was so good that we forgot to take a photo). The gyoza was plump with a generous amount of perfectly seasoned filling. The filling itself had a good texture, was finely ground without being overly processed. Very satisfying meal. We would have gone back here everyday if we weren't also trying other restaurants in Baguio.

They offer reasonable prices and an open kitchen, allowing customers to watch their meals being prepared. We ordered several dishes, including the popular Tonkotsu Ramen, Chuka, Tantanmen, Classic Hirata Bun & Pulled Chasu with Cheese Hirata. While the ramen tasted great, I personally didn't prefer the thick noodles used. However, the meat in the Hirata bun was tender and flavorful, making it one of my fave. Serving size was sufficient for us. They have a policy against sharing ramen, but the staff was very friendly and efficient. However, large groups may have difficulty finding seats as the restaurant has limited seating capacity.

Price: Mid-range Taste: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Meal sizes: ✔Solo ✔Small Group Japanese cuisine Small Japanese eatery, expect waiting in line. No comfort room available. Service water available. They provide hot towel to provide warmth for your hands, perfect for cold months. We ordered the following: • Chuka Soba Ramen(PHP 320) which is their best seller. • Ebi Tempura (PHP 220) • Hirata Bun (PHP 299) ♥ All of the food we ordered are so delicious. Will definitely go back to try their other ramen. *Menu as of December 2021

I decided to go here the moment that they opened as the line can get crazy long, also because at max. I think they can seat 8 people at a time, also if you're in one group, they still observed the one seat apart but between the groups. When I arrived at 11:30am there were already 4 people ahead of me. I got their Chuka ramen, described as the OG of ramens. It has 4 different broths which is Vegetable, Chicken, Pork and Fish. Wow! It was an umami flavor bomb! Everytime that you would try to distinguish which broth you can taste, it changes. Very well balanced and with a slightly firm and chewy noodles. The Chashu pork also had a good grilled flavor. I, and the two gentlemen on my right finished almost the same time because we ate it how they'd do it in Japan, which is fast and as a consideration to the people waiting outside.

Authentic ramen place. If you're planning on trying this place out, you have to be prepared to wait during peak hours such as in lunch time and dinner time. Best to go during off-peak hours so the wait isn't that long. We arrived around 8:50 pm and only waited 10 minutes to get a seat. I tried their tonkotsu shoyu ramen and karaage. The broth was good but probably lack more fat to give that sticky texture and umami flavor. The noodles were a little harder than it should be in my opinion. The chasu was thinly sliced but good. And the karaage was perfect for the ramen. Overall I'll give this place a 4.2 rating and it's definitely perfect for that Baguio weather especially during the Ber months. One additional comment would probably put some Japanese beer on the menu such as Asahi to complement the ramen.

Rich soup base. Chasu is thick unlike other Ramen places I've been to. Portion is generous. Kinda remind me of Mendokoro Ramen in Makati in terms of set up. The shop is a bit small of course compared to Mendo , but surprisingly they have good Ramen.

Ramen was very good. Best ramen in the North so far.... No comparison to other popular ramen shops. The taste was good, I like the flavor of fresh pepper corn. The broth is satisfying and best in cold weather of Baguio. I might go back here probably next year and check the other ramen on the menu. Looking forward for more umami flavor. We ordered Karai Tsukemen and Tantanmen plus gyoza and wagyu cubes..

  • 4/5 M W. 2 years ago on Google
The ramen is good, I think it's neutral for my taste, a bit bland so is the chashu. I think it will be better if the soup is thicker with more flavoring, and the noodles are weird since they are thick (like pancit canton) or maybe it's their style. The karaage have a lot of extra breading less chicken and kinda burnt, I like the wagyu beef though, the smokey smell is enticing. The aji tamago is perfectly made. About the staff, they are accomodating, they ask you're opinion about the food. It's just an honest opinion from me, I know they will improve along the way. I'll definitely comeback next time. Maybe I'll give 5 stars. 😉

  • 5/5 Jeunnesse 2 years ago on Google
Authentic Japanese food, from ramen to their Hirata pork bun. The ambiance same with ramen shops in japan. Their staff usually greet and serve us speaking Japanese! The price is cheaper but their serving is much MORE 😁 Lining up in a cold weather🥶 waiting for your turn that is usual in famous ramen shops. Hope you have shop in manila!

  • 5/5 pgf 2 years ago on Google
It's a small place, I believe it can only accommodate 6 or 8 guests inside; an actual Japanese ramen place experience. I would suggest going there a bit early and don't go without having breakfast. Hangry people, beware. Buns are great, same pork as the ones they use for the ramen. As for the ramen, it is good, but on the less salty side for me (msg girl, sorry) but it is filling and good for its price (IG worthy as well) Staff are excellent, polite and they operate like clockwork. They will also inform you of the available menu for the day (there are times that it depends on their supply) or wait time if you're outside. These are the photos from the first time we went there, but the quality of food never change.
