👍👍 Absolutely loved it here. The food (and lemonade) was delicious and the staff were so friendly. We even came in the back door on accident and they were so nice about it. We were only stopping here for a quick bite before other activities, so we only got to try the conch fritters and fried calamari.... The food here is amazing. Whenever we cruise to Nassau we make a beeline to this restaurant. The food is 5 star and so are the staff but the service is somewhat slow; perhaps because the food is so fresh?! IDK. Either way, plan to wait a bit, the food is worth it. Also there is no elevator so my elderly travel companions had a challenge making it upstairs. The conch fritters and grouper fingers are the absolute best. The Greek salad was delicious as well. Overall, if you have the time and no physical limitations…. EAT HERE!

Absolutely delicious lunch. Huge, attractive portions. I had the grilled veggie gyro and it was flavourful, filling and hot. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum! Lovely, fun view of Bay street. Definitely stop there for lunch!

Athena cafe is actually located upstairs inside this jewelry store, there was a lady sitting in the front who will tell you and direct you to the right place if you just ask or walk in. It was my first time here and the food was really good! We ordered a bunch of different things but my favorite was the grilled octopus and conck chowder! The bahama mama and mango daiquiri was delicious 😋. Service was eh ok, the food came out very slow and we were about to leave because it was so slow. It was quite busy when we were sitting and leaving. Bathroom was decent not too dirty. Overall, a comfortable place!

Service was fantastic. Our waiter was very respectful and came by many times to check on us. Location entrance is a bit weird, have to walk into a jewelry store and go up the stairs on the right to get to the cafe. The grouper gyro was excellent and the mango lemonade was to die for. I also had a black tea which was very good as well. There is a bit of construction noise outside. This is walking distance from the cruise port. Definitely recommend!

The trio dip is a must try to try the various dips. I recommend trying the 3 dips except hummus (to try something different). Ten chicken and lamb gyros were absolutely delicious too. Amazing, friendly service with high quality and flavourful food makes this place a winner. The baklava cheesecake was delicious too although tasted more like apple pie than baklava.

This is my first time here. I’ve been by this restaurant a few times, but never stopped in. I was told my the locals to try this place. The location is a bit odd being on top of a jewelry store. However, the Fried Conch and Squid were amazing. When it comes to seafood you pay the price. Will be back!

Shop is located inside a jewelry store and upstairs, everything is a bit crammed. Food was good and they had gluten-free options, but is fairly expensive. We paid $58 for a gyro and a salad with just waters for the two of us. Also the food took ovet 30min for a basic salad and a gyro and then an additional 15min to hunt down the staff to get our check and leave. While the food is pretty good, it's expensive and takes longer than one might expect.

I haven't been to Athena's in over 15 years, but I was happy to see that they had made some upgrades. Loved the new vibes. Service was EXCELLENT! 10/10. I've always loved their food and over the years it been really consistent! Definitely give them a try if you're in the downtown area of Nassau and want a Lil Greek experience. 😉

Fantastic place to grab a bite to eat in Nassau. The trio dip and flaming saganaki were amazing, as was the Goombay Smash. Try the conch chowder, which is more like a gumbo and not dairy based (but be prepared for some chewy conch). Fantastic service, lovely patio.

Good food, we've eaten here before but on this trip we only got the conch fritters. They were delicious and not expensive at all. Service was a little slow but they were friendly and apologetic. They're only about a 2 minute walk from the straw market and offer inside and outside dining. Clean restrooms but a little difficult getting to at times because you have to go through a small hallways where the waiters stand and wait for food but overall, I would suggest you give them a try.

The baklava was actually inedible. It was like a sponge. An $8 sponge. I took one bite and could hardly chew through it. I told the server and he took it away and then brought me another one but this time in a plate of water. Apparently it was microwaved with water this time to make it softer... so now it was more like a wet sponge. great. While struggling to cut through this one, I asked myself: "Is it really worth the risk of getting food poisoning by gnawing on reheated soggy garbage?" I chose to leave without eating but I left with my dignity. I also ordered a coffee, which was worse than the coffee they have at the gas station, but to their credit it was actually possible for me to drink it. They charged me $15 for this culinary experience. I'm giving 3 stars because I didn't order a meal. I'm assuming from the other reviews that they make something that can actually be eaten.

Let me say what a GREAT place to eat! Bartender amazing! The owner wow all the way around, so nice and interactive with his customers. 5 days in the Bahamas and this was the best meal we have had since being there. Highly recommend and will definitely be back! Jen, Flying Fish Bar and Grill

Had Gyros and Hummus with pita was great. The idea was to have the hummus as a starter however all food arrived to the table at about the same time....the tables are tiny and space on the balcony are very limited but there was no place to sit inside. It was my second time going there and in both instances they had "no wifi"

Delicious food coupled with great service! The waitstaff is very friendly and hospitable. We ordered the fresh mango lemonade that our server recommended and it was PHENOMENAL!! I also got the grouper gyro based off other reviews and wow it did not disappoint! Very good and fresh and paired perfectly with the tzatziki and fresh mango lemonade. Perfect light cuisine when on a beach vacation! My husband also got the tea. Teas are from a selection box that you can pick; he chose the assam black tea and it was good. They also had earl gray and non-caffeinated options too. All in all, a solid spot in Nassau and a must-visit for light and healthy food!

The service was great and the food delicious! We had the Conch fritters to start and conch salad. For our main course I had the lobster tail with white rice, baked Mac and cheese and plantain while my father had the seafood platter, white rice, veggies and fries. Everything was delicious and the price was nothing compared to what we spent at our stay in Atlantis.

Great food! Quan provided the best service we have had on the island! The owner George was great and took the time to speak with us. Food was authentic, tasty, and reasonably priced. Must go! Will go again!

Great food and atmosphere on the open dining area overlooking the street. The hummus with pita bread and olives was perfection. The grouper gyro was amazing. The service was exceptional! We would go back.

The best gyros outside of Athens. A wonderful gem in Nassau and definitely worth a visit. Unwind, relax and let the friendly, professional staff take care of you .

I got the Greek burger with a fruit punch, and I must say great customer service. The food was great, seasoned nicely and a beautiful view from the balcony. 10/10 would try again and would recommend.
