A wonderful attraction for both adults and children. The set is very well made and it’s fascinating to learn about the history of Piracy in Nassau. Entrance is currently limited due to Covid so there is a short wait time at the entrance as they allow people to pass through socially distanced, and tickets are priced at $13.20. Per adult. It’s takes roughly 30 minutes to complete the attraction.

If you have an interest in pirates in the early 1700s, this is a fun, quick stop. This is not your typical museum. While there are a few historically relevant pieces on display, this museum primarily uses vignettes of what things would have looked like, coupled with placards explaining what you are viewing. The museum does a great job using ambiance lighting to put the viewer "in the moment." The information is somewhat superficial if you have studied the subject, but it is perfect for those who are looking with "new eyes." I especially like the true/false questions. It took about an hour to go through the whole museum. Pros: air-conditioned, clean presentation, long enough to be worth the money, but not so long as to bore the kids. Cons: perhaps too short. Perhaps not enough information. For you, it may be a great hour or so of escape!

We have a pirate obsessed daughter. So when we saw Pirates of Nassau was open Christmas Eve we knew we wanted to stop and check it out before hitting the beach. Sam, the proprietor, is amazing. She is super friendly and knowledgeable about pirates. The museum tour is self guided with lots of info. It’s super clean and has very detailed scene’s depicting the life of a pirate. We highly recommend visiting (especially if it’s a pirates life for ya).

What a great museum we came across while touring Nassau. Very informative and fun. Take your time and read each sign. Enjoy the realistic pirate ship and wax figures!

This was a great little tour through a wax museum. Lots of information about the pirate life and what happened to most of them…. Not like the movies. Only $13.50 per adult. Well worth it. Bought some cool T shirts at the end

Very entertaining and enjoyable exhibition even for adults. Probably best enjoyed when no cruise boats are around. Also, the lady at the ticket box is super nice

Liked the Pirate Museum, could have been a few more original artifacts from the period.

I liked it. Charming little space that gives the vibe of a walking tour of the Disney world “pirates of the Caribbean” ride. There isn’t a LOT of info and does not contain any historical artifacts but I liked walking through the scenery nonetheless and price per person wasn’t bad.

Our first stop when in the island, as everyone ran off the the beaches and bars we had the museum to our selves. We were greeted at the entrance and walked into the year 1710, to A Well structured Museum (that can maybe pass for a haunted pirate tour in the fall). Was nicely put together, had great information on Pirates of the past and detail visuals. We walked away learning a thing or two about the actual Pirates of the Caribbean! At the end of our walk we were at the museum shop where a nice gentleman was there to see ya off. It's a nice lil'spot to visit especially if you like museums and history

This museum was the perfect stop for our boys. Very reasonably priced. It’s fairly small, so you can easily see it all and get right back to the sun.

The Nassau stop is definitely a fun experience for kids or anyone with a passion for pirates. However, I found the price a bit steep considering it's essentially a collection of diorama scenes depicting pirate life. While there are informative labels throughout the exhibit, there are few actual artifacts or specimens. In some parts of the museum, the displays appeared dusty, and there were no staff members present except for those manning the admission counter. We spent approximately 45 minutes exploring the museum.

One of the best activities in Nassau, I learned so much about pirates. It took us about 40mins to walk through the hall place. Definitely a must see if you are remotely interested in pirates.

Very good experience for adults as there are lots of things to learn about pirates. However, since most of the information comes from lengthy texts to read, children tend to get bored. That being said, the first part of the experience, the old city set, is nothing less than fantastic! I wish the whole museum was like that. The ship interior is also great. The level of details is amazing. The gift shop contains some unique items on display (authentic bottles, musket, knives, etc). Don't miss them.

The staff were helpful and nice. The museum itself looked a bit worn out and was a shorter walkthrough than I expected. Towards the end there were quite a few plaques that had interesting info about various pirates from the area and their history.

My own favourite place in Nassau. Reproduction quay side and ship with more history of the pirates inside.

I love visiting this museum. When ever we go on a cruise that stops in the Bahamas I make it a point to stop here. I love the displays, the atmosphere and the information presented. This location is very well done and only enhance my love for pirate history .

After watching the series Black Sails, i really enjoyed walking through the replica with scenes of life with swinging tables, surgery and local accent narration of a couple pirate stories. It's a quick tour even if you read all the signs.

My wife and I went to the museum back in July but it was closed. I believe it closes daily around 1 p.m. or so. We really wanted to go, so when we were there in December we were able to go. It doesn't disappoint. The tour is self guided. It took us just over 45 minutes. You learn a lot and they have a lot of really good exhibits. For the price, I would definitely recommend it. We walked it from the cruise ship. Not very far at all.

I love this museum. Not too big. Informative. Small gift shop and a nice courtyard to sit and take pics

A small place. Not much to see, but very nice time spending. A little bit history of pirates and cute decor

I'm so happy we stopped here! More than worth the price of admission. My wife doesn't even care about pirates and she ended up really enjoying it due to all the trivia along the way. Friendly staff and fair pricing.

As someone who enjoys the history and lore of the goldan age of piracy, this experience was well worth it. The set pieces and lighting are so well done, as is the dialogue from the swashbuckling characters. Once you go inside it really invokes the surreal feeling of living as a pirate in the early 1700s. The displays and informative screens give you a sense of their way of life back then. From their code of conduct, to living conditions and diet, and to the criminal punishment of mearooning - the attraction goes into detail on all of it. I especially enjoyed the opening scene and the Blackbeard attack. Highly recommended.

Went here with some friends who really wanted to go. I knew ahead of time that it was going to be campy, so I was prepared for that. I could see kids really enjoying this, as it's not really a museum and most of the information provided is common knowledge. Also, I think the $13.5 admission fee is a bit steep considering it only takes 15-30 minutes to get through the place even with taking time to read every placard and didactic panel. However, I get that it's a small business that has probably struggled to make it these past two years, so I was happy to support it. All in all, I think my friends enjoyed it (granted they had just come from the rum distillery) and at least it got us out of the rain for thirty minutes.

When you enter, you'll wonder if you've accidentally walked into a scare attraction where someone dressed as a pirate is going to jump out an frighten your barnacles off. But fear not me'hearty, its all mood lighting and sound. There are some great displays with fun true or flase pirate statements on the walls. Some voice overs explaining history of pirates that were in the area. It can get kids interested in the real life of pirates. For adults wanting to see real swords and guns and treasure pulled up from wrecks, then there is a little bit at the end. Go for some fun, learn some cool facts and take a few pictures. It's enjoyable and has made me want to look up more history when I get home.

It was cute and kitch and a great representative "snap shot" of the real pirate past. After growing up in Niagara with Louis Toussad's museums, I was let down with the small size. Great place to take the kids for an hour.

Really fun museum about the history of pirates, with lots of great facts I didn't know before. Stede Bonnet even has his own plaque! Well worth the visit.

It was interesting to know about life of pirates. To be honest it was quite scary inside of museum. Good quality of dummies, they look like real. Darkness and sounds make a great effect.
