So
an
updated
review
of
The
Royal
Tower
from
our
original
pre-pandemic
visit.
Atlantis
has
started
and
almost
completed
a
room/floor
renovation
project
starting
in
the
East
Tower.
Our
room
was
not
available
for
our
initial
check
in
time
however
we
were
assured
it
would
be
by
4:00
pm.
Luckily,
we
were
able
to
leave
our
bags
with
some
other
family
members
while
we
headed
to
the
beach.
Recommendation
for
everyone
would
be
to
head
to
The
Cove
specifically
for
the
beach
as
the
water
is
much
calmer
and
you
won't
feel
like
you
have
been
assaulted.
The
Cove's
beach
is
protected
from
much
of
the
ocean
currents
and
potential
roughness.
We
eventually
got
a
newly
renovated
room
in
the
East
Tower.
The
Good:
As
soon
as
you
step
out
of
the
elevator,
you
will
instantly
notice
the
colour
scheme
change
which
is
noticeably
much
brighter.
I
will
post
pictures
later
but
it's
literally
night
and
day.
The
hallways
and
rooms
feel
refreshed
and
much
more
vibrant.
The
carpet
although
being
high
traction
carpet
is
still
soft.
The
rooms
have
been
well
put
together
but
they
could
have
used
a
bit
more
quality
control
in
some
of
the
finishing
touches.
The
pools
are
still
in
great
shape,
dolphin
cay
is
still
doing
everything
it
can
to
help
the
animals
and
the
Waterpark
is
still
packed
with
excitement.
The
Bad:
The
hotel
has
introduced
a
newer
interactive
TV
menu
for
hotel
information,
room
service
reservations
etc.
Unfortunatly,
the
system
crashed
more
often
then
not
(which
is
to
say...
all
the
time)
and
was
essentially
completely
useless
for
our
entire
stay.
As
we
were
in
the
furthest
room
from
the
elevators,
the
WIFI
was
spotty
as
well.
So
for
those
rainy
days
or
those
with
smaller
children
who
are
looking
to
maintain
a
stable
connection
for
entertainment,
you
may
want
to
request
a
room
closer
to
the
elevators
as
thats
where
the
signal
seems
strongest.
Also,
as
the
TV
itself
is
connected
via
some
level
of
wireless
connection,
it
would
constantly
freeze
regardless
of
channel.
This
was
happening
in
multiple
rooms
that
our
family
had
on
different
floors.
Overall
this
is
still
a
great
place
to
come
and
visit
and
the
grounds
have
made
an
incredible
recovery
after
the
pandemic
(
while
paradise
island
was
closed,
many
areas
fell
by
the
way
side.
Plumbing
was
a
nightmare
from
what
we
were
told,
some
the
of
the
aquatic
creatures
had
to
be
let
go
due
to
lack
of
staff.
However
the
Bahamian
people
have
made
the
island
a
paradise
again
through
a
lot
of
hard
work)
however
I
feel
with
some
of
the
more
recent
hotels
that
have
and
will
open,
Atlantis
may
end
up
having
to
adjust
its
marketing
and
promotions
to
reflect
new
realities
of
increased
competition.
