It's a small place and, when we visited, only half open. We were given free entry. Some of the pieces on show were interesting. It also has an 'art garden'. Nice ambience and worth a visit.

Only the exterior grounds were open when we visited. The art walk is nice. Be aware that it is a well maintained and marked trail but pretty rugged. Wheelchairs and stroller would not work out well. There are lovely sculptures along trails. There is also a lot of trees and local Flora and fauna to view. It does seem to be a work in progress still. If doing a walking tour this should be included.

The premiere art gallery of The Bahamas. Visit this gallery for the finest in Bahamian art and sculpture set in an historic colonial style building. Cultural events are held here often too. Highly recommended. : )

The National Art Gallery is opened again. And has presented wonderfully, the art of Tampa based Bahamian artist, Kendra Frorup "The Whimsical Collector". All the gallery spaces display her wonderful work spanning a couple decades. You will enjoy this meditative and indeed whimsical collection. There is sure to be several pieces that enchant you. Highly recommend a visit. Parking on the grounds, inside the gates was available. And there's even an EV Charging Station parking spot. The entrance was free - not sure if that was for locals. Gallery staff were welcoming and pleasant. The Art Park and garden spaces were open for strolling and wandering. P.S. Based on observation, I believe EVERY Bahamian Art Gallery venue has a Junkanoo art piece at their entrances. 😀

Now fully open with an interesting exhibit by local artist Kendra Group in lots of mediums. Beautiful building and gardens and an ampitheatre. A lovely change of pace.

We had a lovely time wandering through the galleries and the sculpture park. Unfortunately when we visited the permanent collection was replaced by a temporary one which while very nice was a letdown. The sculpture park has some great work but the path through it is very inaccessible. The museum is an a beautiful building and the gift shop has some wonderful things to take back with you.

A must see when in Nassau. Very interesting art from local artists. In addition to the art indoors there is a nice outdoor section. The staff are very friendly.

I recommend this place. The price of admission is reasonable, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the artwork is beautifully done, and allows you to see work by local artists that show the connection between Bahamian culture and nature and the objects they used to create the work. The outdoor native plants garden could use better signage so we can know exactly what we are looking at.

Lovely! Took our 3 kids ages 3, 5 & 8. We all enjoyed the art on display including the children’s exhibition. My kids were inspired and look forward to going back to school and sharing what they saw and learned with their class and teachers

Beautiful grounds and a wonderful gift shop, where I bought a ton of souvenirs. Alas, the galleries are still closed for changing over an exhibition, but my stroll around the grounds and chat with the gift shop clerk were delightful.

Really localised and poetic, the art here is really focussed on the theme of belonging and reclaiming identity which I was really grateful to see - as you walk around the port you see anti cruise ship posters, stickers and protests, so I was worried you were going to see items catering to tourists sensibilities, but it’s anything but. Such visitors, ourselves included, got a richer fuller taste of Bahamian culture and its heart, more so than just seeing it as a stop off sunny destination. You could argue it Should be a must see fit all who come. Really glad to have made the trip out and I hope more people do to see the soul of the place presented with pride and glory.

Very artistic. Enjoyed the pieces on display. Appreciated the artist highlights gave a better understanding of what the pieces met and vantage point of the artist. Would totally encourage all interested persons to visit. Totally worth it

Free, beautiful grounds. Really high quality art exhibits and great history education about the Bahamas and local culture. There was only one other person there. Better than the gimmicky spots in downtown in my opinion. One block from Watling's Distillery. Can do both in about 2 hrs if you are budgeting time for cruise departure.

Small but great art gallery. Go on a day the weather is good because you will want to walk the grounds. Entire thing should take about 2- 3 hours. Or if you really enjoy reading everything

Much to see on this small art gallery. Moving images and provocative commentary. Photography not allowed in the gallery.
