Bernie's Tikki Hut has moved! Met Bernie and Bernadette at their new location on Taino Beach yesterday. They are just beginning the new construction. PSA: Bernie’s Tiki Hut is now on Taino Beach. Been here 4 days, and so far, this is my favorite spot on the island! Bernie and Antuan are great!! They made us feel so welcome & we had great service. They did not have the lobster tails today, but we got one of everything: red snapper, cracked conch, bbq chicken, and pork chop. It was ALL delicious. The fried plaintains were also one of my favorite parts. All the alcoholic drinks were $5. We got in the water while we waited for our food and it was so nice. The entire vibe was peaceful, welcoming, and calm and the food was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend.

I'm actually hesitant to let anyone else know about this gem in Freeport at Taino Beach. If you are cruising or end up at Taino Beach, you don't have the do the Pirates Cove entry! (If you do want snorkeling , and water sports, then do that deal, but if you just want a relaxing beach day, go visit Bernie!) Bernie is just down the beach (to the left on the public access area). Amazing drinks, chairs, umbrellas, best fresh food on the beach, and hospitality that cannot be matched anywhere. You'll go from some rays and amazing views, you'll leave as friends with the entire family there. Absolutely FANTASTIC... planning our next trip to the island just to hang at Bernie's!

Do you enjoy drinking beer? If so this is the place to go, at least until they run out. This Tiki Hut might not look like much but the amazing food and service will keep you here until they run out of beer. Once they run out of beer that probably means its time to go to bed anyway. Of all of the places on the island, this is the one I most highly recommend.

Quite possibly the best fried fish on the island. We came here for lunch after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. The fish was fresh and fried to perfection. It was accompanied by a nice salad - the best I’ve had on the island, and the setting was picnic tables right on the beach. The staff are really friendly. This is a must visit location

Wish I could add something of a positive here, but it just wasn't a great experience. I heard so many good things prior to visiting for Tuesday evening's dinner so I was really excited to bring the kids. Unfortunately, service was slow and unorganized. Although it was very informal (which I completely expected), the table wasn't all served at once, the quality of the food was okay, but nothing spectacular. Overall, it wouldn't be a bad place to grab a beer on the beach, but not one I would recommend in any kind of busy time for the establishment.

If you ever find yourself looking for a great meal in Freeport definitely give this place a try. The hut is situated right off the beach so you have a wonderful view while you eating. It's obviously nothing fancy, just good food, music, and the ocean in the background.

You must visit Bernies' if you are in Freeport, Bahamas. The food was so good. They cook fresh seafood right on the beach. There is beach access with activities located near by. We arrived when it was pouring rain and they didn't hesitate to cook up delicious food despite the rain. Take a cab to Taino Beach from the cruise port. You will not be disappointed.

Best food on Taino beach. Trust. The grilled lobster and the conch salad are off the charts. They are building a new tiki hut and it will be awesome, cannot wait.

I had the red snapper and it was cooked to perfection. We also had the lobster and the barbecue chicken. Come and visit Bernie amazing service but even better food

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh! This was such a beautiful experience to have lunch right off the beach. Even met some new friends.

It was a great time even with the rain, bernie and her husband were great people who serviced great food and drinks at a very good price.Their hospitality was great especially coming from the south; they even had people coming from the carnival excursion not far away to get their great drinks, food, and a chance to experience their amazing personality’s. Also really liked their rice and beans with plantain!

The best tiki bar I have ever been to! Right on the beach in the heart of Taino beach in Freeport. Awesome prices, delicious food, and the Bernie's crew is a 10/10!!

The food is very good. The owners Bernice and Anton are a great representation of their country. They are warm hearted people that do their very best to make you feel like they care. Hard to find these days. The building is a shack otherwise I would give them a 5 +++ Right on the beach.

Awesome beach hut with amazingly fresh seafood and ribs. Had grilled lobster tails, whole snapper & the ribs, excellent!!! The “Bernies” are sweet & welcoming hosts! I’ll definitely bring everyone back next year!!!

Ice cold beers, Bahama Mamas, grilled lobster tails and the best BBQ chicken I’ve ever tasted. Definitely plan on eating here a bunch and coming back for the Tuesday night bonfire that starts at 6pm.
