Nehru
Kund
is
a
natural
spring,
which
is
located
on
the
Leh-Manali
highway
and
is
5
km
from
Manali
city.
The
kund
was
named
after
Pandit
Jawahar
Lal
Nehru
(first
Prime
Minister
of
India)
as
he
used
to
drink
water
from
this
spring
when
he
stayed
in
Manali.
It
is
believed
that
the
spring
originates
from
the
Bhrigu
Lake
located
at
an
elevation
of
around
4,300
meters
in
Himachal
Pradeshโs
Kullu
district.
The
place
famous
among
tourists,
photographers
and
nature
lovers.
The
lush
greenery
of
the
valley
and
the
pristine
water
offer
a
breath-taking
scenery.
Nehru
Kund
is
a
perfect
place
to
unwind
and
relax.The
water
from
the
lake
seems
to
come
from
the
Lake
Bhrigu
which
is
situated
high
up
in
the
mountains
which
surround
the
picturesque
area.
Manali
is
a
place
famous
for
its
stunning
atmosphere
and
relaxing
environment.
The
Nehru
Kund
also
complements
the
surroundings
with
its
well
preserved
pristine
sublimity
and
is
famous
all
over
the
country
amongst
all
the
tourists
as
a
location
to
enjoy
some
quiet
and
serene
time
with
family
and
friends.
