We went to Manali at the most unfortunate time possible After returning from a Trek, we decided to crash in the Roamate hostel, not knowing how terrible the city was going to get over the next two days We were stuck in the city with no electricity, network, internet, and water. There was a red alert in place and panic in the streets. We decided to stock up and get some cash from the ATM before the situation got worse. And it did get worse. But the hosts in this hostel were AMAZING! They could have easily closed their kitchen during this crisis and it would have been the most casual response. We stocked up thinking that this would happen. But they were so great that until our stay, they kept the kitchen open. Yes, they only had 2-3 items on the menu at the time but it was more than what we needed in that time of crisis. We were regularly clearing our kitchen dues, but the host told us to wait till things start to get better and save cash since the ATM had shut down ♥️ The day we decided to leave, we were overtime by 2-3 hours, but they didn't charge us anything extra. They were extremely understanding and even told us to come back midway if the route seems dangerous and we feel uncomfortable! They were just the most kind, heartwarming people we met at a very terrifying time in our lives. Also, the room was amazing! We had a superior room with a river view. Would have never imagined that beautiful of a room in a hostel. The rooms are clean. There was a great vibe in the hostel. It's on some height, which was a little annoying initially, but when we saw the water level rising... it became a much more assuring addition 😂

One of the best Hostel in Old Manali with amazing . All Locations of Manali & Old Manali is on walking distance. I had an amazing stay & amazing snowfall experience, the food was very tasty. rooms & dormitory & common area is very good & clean. The Staff was very kind,supportive & friendly. I would love to stay again here.

First thing first rooms were clean, but the the front office manager was very rude, like a warden handling bunch of school hostel kids, dude we are on vacation , I will only recommend Roamate for those who can handle bad attitude of manager. Only thing I had there is tea, that might be the worst tea i ever had. The person doing the booking over the call was good one but when you had such manager your services goes to vain.

The place is really beautiful and offers a comfortable stay. It’s recommended for backpackers and all Travellers alike. Offers really comfortable dorms & rooms with amenities and has a rooftop cafe to serve delicious food.!

This is a peaceful hostel yet very close to the cafes and shops of old Manali. The staff are very helpful. Female form was clean and well equipped, comfy beds with curtains, hot shower and also had a spacious balcony. There's a cafe on site but I didn't try it. Id recommend this hostel.

The best part about Roomates are the hosts. They are delightful and definetly made it worst me staying in the hostel all day! Amazing place with the best food and location. Highly hygienic rooms and a must say for anyone even transiting to the trek.

Although it may require a 1.5 km walk from the mall road, it is a small inconvenience considering the exceptional location of the hostel. If you opt for an auto rickshaw, they will drop you 200 meters away from the hostel, and you can enjoy a pleasant walk to the top. Trust me, the breathtaking surroundings and serene atmosphere make the walk absolutely worth it. In terms of pricing, Roamate Hostel offers excellent value for money. It is comparatively affordable without compromising on the quality of the facilities and services provided. The combination of clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and the stunning location make it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers who still want to experience the best that Manali has to offer. Roamate Hostel is very friendly. Helpful staff and clean rooms. They cook tasty food, great mix sabji roti, Allu paratha and are helpful with providing bike rentals, advices etc.

Parking unavailable at property as located on a hillside... Property maintained well. Hosts Megha and Anshu are super chill and do guide when asked... Food is good although timings could be tricky.. not an all day offer... Be wary of other guests who might just take you into a BT 😅

Just because of owner, he so arrogant and egoistic person, he always ready to fight. There is no such privacy, the owner went in the room whatever the timings is without any knock or asking for permission. Rude behaviour with the customers, and there are many more things but I don’t want to share just because my review thẹn deleted.

It's one of the best places I have stayed in. Specially the 4 bed room which is their best and the view from the room is amazing. The host is very friendly and helpful. Food from their cafe is very delicious. Highly Recommended!!

Location is peaceful, but you have to walk stairs with luggage to reach the property. You can have your own place and enjoy homely atmosphere. Sanjay and Megha are cool and very friendly. Thanks for the stay.

Brilliant place! to stay while in Manali. Also, the best option price wise. The staff is polite, friendly and have good knowledge of the places one can visit (touristy as well as offbeat). The food is freshly prepared, tasty and priced just about right. Reaching here can get a bit tiring from Manali HRTC Bus stand if you don't take an auto/cab. But it's beautiful if you take Van Vihar route (Rs 20 charge) towards old Manali. The common room is sickk place to hangout and spend the day working or lazying with smooth music on play. Cleanliness is taken very strictly here and they do clean washrooms, beds, change quilts and mattress then and now. Hope this review helps you in making the best choice while you stay in Manali. Situated in between the Apple Orchids with 360° view from the cafeteria, this hostel is best backpackers hostel in manali and away from chaos . The dorms have enough space with a beautiful balcony and clean n hygienic washroom, tasty food served cafeteria on terrace, small garden outside at reception. Budget friendly for backpackers. Must visit🙂
