Really cool place with a variety of different rooms. There’s a place to hang out and meet other travellers. Many cafes & restaurants nearby (like Marc’s cafe next door with proper coffee!), the place is just a few kilometres from Auroville. Hari is a fantastic host - approachable, friendly with lots of useful tips. Highly recommended 🙌🏽

Stayed at Gypsy Hostel for 5 days and overall was an excellent experience. 1) location is perfect amidst all the best Cafe’s ,shops travelling anywhere at any time is never a problem. 2) wifi is very good 3) Ambience and the rooms are absolute worth the money u pay for . 4) Hari as a host is extremely helpful and prompt . 5) lastly as compared to all the others in the vicinity found this the best .

It was a wonderful experience staying at Gypsy. It is amidst of best cafes, and you get to experience lots of wonderful food. Location is perfect. Outside space is amazing. Good music system. Well maintained space. Harish is easily approachable and friendly.

The rooms are good. They have diff set of rooms as per your budget. They have open space with great ambience created by music, bonfire in evening and also fun loving people. The owner/manager Hari is super awesome and friendly person. Kitchen needs to be a lil more maintained but okay.

I stayed for two nights. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Outside isca nice place to hang out with a great sound system. Harish is super friendly. He also took me to a rock concert nearby.

I stayed at the Gypsy hostel for a week and I can say that it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are very clean and cozy, there are a lot of positive vibes and it's perfect for a solo traveler like me. It is very close to the main attractions of Auroville. At night, the atmosphere becomes even more enchanting, with the myriad lights, lamps, and games. I had the opportunity to meet many interesting people and had a truly enjoyable time. It is undoubtedly one of the best places to stay. In terms of location, it is situated right beside the main road, making many of the fantastic Auroville attractions easily accessible. There are also numerous delightful cafes around the area to explore.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms and mattresses are comfortable and the location is great. The courtyard area is fun too, and was good vibes over christmas. I appreciated the gym equipment especially. All together, would recommend this hostel 👌

Our stay at Gypsy was so fun. The place was clean and chill vibes and accessible too. Had a great time there. Safe for women wanting to stay there. Huge shout out to Hari, a wonderful host.
