Views are beautiful! Trying to anchor on the west side was a pain as the water is very deep. The other boats were like kids fighting over candy as I'm slowly motoring by looking for a spot. Obnoxious! Then while anchored we're all in the cockpit talking and laughing while grilling dinner. Then a ranger screams from shore and blasts us with a spot light "Quieten down! If I have to say it again, I'm writing you a ticket!" Welcome to Washington I guess. So we start whispering. While at anchor no less! Then we turn the deck light out and start using a flashlight to finish cooking. But he's not done. He gets in his boat and rides over with his spot light in our faces and a bright blue strobe light as well. Then harasses us by grilling us as to who owns the boat and our names all the while circling the boat slowly with those obnoxious lights trained on us. Then finishes up by threatening to ticket us and expel us from the anchorage. I've boated for many years and treat other boaters with respect and have a healthy respect for safety as well. But, I've never experienced that sort of treatment from a state worker/officer before. Maybe it's just the times we're in but he did what he could throwing his weight around to ruin an otherwise nice weekend on the water. He'll be pleased to hear I'm never going back.

A gem of a state park, complete with native American artifacts, dance, and oral history only a pleasant 39- minute ferry ride away. The recreated long house is filled with living history, a must see. Be sure to book a tour that includes a buffet lunch whose highlight is salmon cooked in the traditional style.

Nice place to spend a night or weekend moored up. Public docks are first come first serve and it fills up pretty quick, especially when the salmon are running. Public restrooms and pay showers with hot water are found south of the moorage area. There are groomed trails that go around the island. There is also an area for mooring at the back of the island with trails leading back to the eastern side/main moorage area. Not unusual to see bald eagle around the island. You will see deer all over and they are rather use to people. Years ago feeding the deer was allowed or maybe just put up with but not anymore. Even though they will eat from your hand, DO NOT FEED THE DEER! Also, the island has quite a few racoons that like to board your vessel at night and see if you left any goodies out. The island is also home to Tillicum Village. They have dinner cruise boats come over from the Seattle area. There's great views of Mount Rainier as well as Seattle. (Seattle looks great at night from Blake) There were two (public) covered shelters with large fire pits. One west of the main moorage and one south but im not sure if they are both still there. There is an area for tent camping near the south edge of the island. Reader board at top of moorage docks has info about the park as well as pay station. The docks in front of Tillicum village are not part of Blake Island state park. Moorage is not allowed on those docks!

Amazing park, only accessible by boat now. Tie up on the northeast side, or anchor / grab a mooring ball on the north, west or southern side. Trails are worth waking, beach on the northwest tip is special.

Cute small island accessible only by boat. We had great boat trip from Seattle to Blake Island. We could see Mt. Rainier and the boat ride was very enjoyable. There is camping park with 5 miles of saltwater beach shoreline. In addition to the Native American- themed Tillicum events, this destination features blue waters and views of the city and My. Rainier. Nice and clean restrooms.

A lovely park. The West side is more protected for boats that need to anchor. The East side has great city views and the main campground. There is potable water and toilets on the island at both camp areas, although they shut the drinking water off in fall to avoid freezing. The West side Beach is great for swimming, but can be louder at night with road noise that carries across the water from southworth.

This was our first time to Blake Island. We anchored off the NW beach. Went ashore for the circle-island trail. Used the dinghy dock at low and high tide. Easy in and out. Restrooms were clean and conveniently placed along the trails near the campsites. Was a beautiful hike. Well maintained, wide trail. Was a little more hilly than I expected. Great calf workout.

A personal favorite . Close enough for a day trip if u have boat or kayak, and far enough away from the noise of the city . Many buoys to tie up to, or drop anchor, also slips with full hook ups for overnighters, tent camping. Beautiful views of the city (seattle) on the NE side of Island, or just sit and watch the boat traffic, tugs and barges , boats, ferrys, cruise ships, freighters, sailboat races and kayakers. Or go to the SW side for off the grid camping or beaching. There are trails to walk, hike or bike all the way around the island. Fire pits, bathrooms, showers, playground and the Tillicum Village that has a gift shop. You can also visit the Island if you sign up for an Excursion through their site to get the full experience . Cruise to Blake Island and immerse yourself in the history and culture of Northwest Native American tribes. A wonderful trip . Cruise, dinner and show.

The park has not been fully upkept during the pandemic, but it was still cool to visit. Lots of animal droppings on the grass areas. Hope the park festivities is brought back to life on the island someday. Will definitely visit again and maybe stay a little longer next time.

Great park, wish they brought the little bar back but other than that it's real nice and clean.

Great for hiking, and camping. We saw bald egales on our hike. Playground for kids. Rocky beach to explore. Traditional dinner on the island can be purchased with cruise; salmon, fruit, salad, rice, pot roast, cobbler. The dinner was great but bring extra food for kids who are picky. Both adults and kids loved the show with traditional dancing which accompanied dinner.

Without the ferry traffic, this was practically a private island. Restroom was clean, trails were lovely, geese and deer and raccoon right near the dock, but not intrusive. Looks like some trail maintenance is needed, and can't wait to see what the interpretive center has to offer!

Great place to hike. One of the hikes leads to a beach where you can see the Seattle skyline. It's very primitive so great for people that want to get away and connect with nature.

A wonderful place to bring families for overnights or fun day trips. Just took these pictures of the story poles in a beautiful, misty, spring time rain.

A very special place! Accessable only by boat. The Fast ferry will get you there in 12 minutes from Pier 55. Terrific cultural attractions, good campgrounds, a unique and wonderful view of Mt. Ranier (when it appears), as well as the North Cascades. And downtown Seattle at night has to be seen to be believed!

Beautiful park that requires a boat or a ride from Argosy. Camping, trails, beaches, tons of friendly but mischievous raccoons. Plus the beautiful native lodge with gift shop, bar and Dinning Hall/Theater. Took we 20+years to get here. We'll be here more often now.
