Good food and nice atmosphere. Unfortunatly we waited for about 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food to come. It was only 2 other companies at the restaurant that evening.

We've visited Darboe's twice for dinner whilst holidaying in The Gambia, and the food, service, and ambience were all excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food tasted like it was homemade. We are both vegetarian, so we tried the domoda and benachin with rice and salad and a couple of beers each, which came to about £20 (80 Dalasi to the pound). They have a live band that starts around 2130, but they always have street artists passing by who play their own music for tips. All in all, a great place to go for dinner.

Ordered two rare steaks. First attempt was two bits of shoe leather. Sent them back and got one steak overcooked on one side raw on the other and one that I'm not even sure was a steak as it was full of sinew. Ordered ice cream as by then too late to go anywhere to get decent food and were kept waiting 40 minutes. Complained but nothing done. Wrote a review on Facebook and the owner sent me one of the rudest messages I've ever received. Dreadful place

Tried two local dishes at this resteraunt. Damodar and afra. Very pleased with both but the beef afra was superb. Great home made chips too. Would recommend this resteraunt.

Visited for the first time last night.. Fantastic Food... Gambian and European. Cocktails 🍸 Delicious.... Long Island Ice Tea and a Bloody Mary that tasted just how they should. Staff were friendly and attentive. The Band was lively and plenty of dancing 💃. Sorry no photos yet as we were having too much fun!! Will update next time we visit.

Definitely one of the best value for money with great food & atmosphere we found. This place was our go to restaurant when we wanted a chilled night with great food. The staff are very friendly & obviously the food hit the spot as we ate here on several occasions.

We Might as well gone to local shop & got taplappa been much cheaper & certainly better value. Please share this about as I feel utter utter contempt for the way we where both treated tonight. When I complained I was spoken to like we where both some type third rate human being. I spoke to several people the manager & it was like trying to communicate with some type of alien from another planet. We Might have been treated like a third rate human being but this Darboes Dog Hole is third rate to the level of 4th rate. The manager even thought I was trying to get a free meal my only words are idiot.
